Seeing her obediently nod, He Beiyi resisted the urge to kiss her and subtly made a gesture towards the shadows.
Ying Huai's eyes flickered.
Granny Li and Xiangxia finally had a chance to come over and shower Li Yunyan with concern and care.
"Your Majesty, you've worried me to death!"
He Beiyi said in a deep voice, "You must escort Consort Li back to Chonghua Palace properly. If Consort Li loses even a single hair, I will hold you all responsible!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
Li Yunyan walked away supported by two men, one on each side, followed by a squad of imperial guards.
There was also a shadowy figure following them in the shadows.
Li Yunyan heard He Beiyi's furious roar behind her: "Empress! How do you explain this?!"
"Your Majesty, please forgive me, I knew nothing!"

As they walked further away, Li Yunyan could no longer hear what they said afterward; she only focused on sensing Ying Huai's presence.

Li Yunyan returned to her room, her legs almost giving way, and she quickly sat down in a chair.
She had just smelled the sleeping gas in that room and was immediately affected, and had been struggling to suppress it with her internal energy.
She would never take the antidote pill when given such a good opportunity!
The reason Xiangxia was assigned to prepare cold water for her was because Xiangxia was young, not very thoughtful, and wouldn't overthink things. It would be hard to say what would have happened if it had been Granny Li.

Li Yunyan sobbed softly, her voice pitiful, "Mmm."
Damn it!
Ying Huai muttered a curse, "Don't be afraid! I'll go and call the imperial physician right away!"
"don't want!"
Li Yunyan, her mind clouded, clung to him, her voice choked with emotion: "Don't call the imperial physician, or His Majesty will find out."
