Chapter 252 From Princess to Empress (7)

The eldest and second princesses only learned half a day after Li Yunyan set off that the palace maid they had sent had died in the palace and had not gone to Beishuo.

It's too late to add more people now.

Enraged, he smashed the porcelain shards all over the floor.

*

Fu Luoyou sat on horseback, a casual smile playing on his lips.

He watched a good show today in the main hall of the Yuanxia Kingdom.

Unexpectedly, Princess Luo Qing was not as timid and fearful as the rumors suggested.

On the contrary, she's...quite interesting!

He laughed when he thought about how she had beaten up her two older sisters and then falsely accused them, leaving them speechless with anger.

His large, well-defined hand tightened the reins, and the horse walked slowly. When Li Yunyan's luxurious sedan chair came up beside him, he reached out his hand.

With a flick of his long, slender fingers, he lifted the curtain of her carriage.

He's sleeping?

He immediately released his finger.

Although it was just a glimpse, her slumped sleeping posture and her fair and delicate face still left an impression on his mind.

Yu Zhu and Yu Die were both startled when the curtains were suddenly pulled open! Before they could stop them, the person put them back down.

They acted so quickly that I didn't even know whether I should get angry at them.

Let's wait until the princess wakes up before making a decision!

Li Yunyan slept until dusk.

The people of Beishuo are a nomadic people, accustomed to adapting to their circumstances. Li Yunyan alighted from the carriage and saw that tents of various sizes had already been erected around them.

Fu Luoyouqi stood with his hands behind his back on a huge rock, gazing into the distance.

Yu Zhu and Yu Die had just told Li Yunyan about Fu Luo lifting her curtain.

With a glance, Li Yunyan signaled Yuzhu and Yudie to watch from a distance, then lifted her skirt and laboriously climbed up the boulder.

As soon as she got close, Fu Luoyouqi knew.

He lowered his head and glanced at her with great interest.

Seeing her standing next to him, her fair face was slightly flushed from climbing the rocks.

He didn't intend to speak, but then he saw her scrutinize him with a critical look before speaking in a haughty tone.

"You are my consort?"

Fu Luo raised an eyebrow but did not refute.

How do you know?

His tone was languid, his voice slightly hoarse, exuding a lazy, roguish charm.

Li Yunyan stood with her hands on her hips, looking confident, "Because you're good-looking! You're barely good enough for this princess!"

"Oh."

Fu Luo Youqi chuckled casually; he had no interest in women!

Women equal trouble!

He didn't answer, but Li Yunyan persisted, looking up at him and asking, "What's your name?"

Fu Luoyouqi casually twirled a blade of grass in his hand, showing no intention of paying attention to her.

She's quite arrogant!

Li Yunyan looked at the horsetail grass, which he had almost turned into a propeller by flicking it around.

She squatted down, picked up a blade of grass from the side, and slapped it onto his blade of grass.

The propellers are on strike.

His lazy eyes glanced at her.

Li Yunyan looked up at him, her eyes filled with a stubborn and charmingly unyielding spirit, a touch of willfulness, yet not at all annoying.

The noble princess, with her elegant swan neck held high, spoke in a soft, sweet voice: "If you don't tell me your name, then I, the princess, will just call you my consort from now on!"

He chuckled softly.

In the setting sun, his hair was bathed in golden light, and his amber eyes were also tinged with gold.

His thin lips were slightly curved, and his eyes were narrowed as he looked at her, making him look like a bewitching demon.

He raised his hand and looked down at her.

The soft horsetail grass gently brushed against Li Yunyan's face, finally stopping at the center of her forehead.

He spoke in that same nonchalant tone, "Princess Luo Qing, it seems you have high expectations for this marriage alliance?"

Li Yunyan didn't dodge, letting him use the horsetail grass to rub her face.

Her fair and flawless face flushed slightly, and she said somewhat honestly, "I wasn't looking forward to it at first, but now, I'm really looking forward to it!"

After saying that, she closed her eyes, brought her face even closer, and said in a coquettish voice, "It tickles!"

His long, slender fingers paused.

The horsetail grass fell to the ground.

Li Yunyan sensed his pause, opened her bright, clear eyes, and stared at him with some curiosity.

Fu Luoyou put her hands behind her back and looked down at the small face so close to hers.

Her skin was whiter than the finest goat's milk; her eyes shone brighter than the most brilliant stars on the grassland...

He suddenly turned his head away, his eyes looking somewhat uneasy.

Li Yunyan tilted her head to look at him, "The Prince Consort?"

Fu Luoyouqi lost his usual composure and turned to jump off the boulder.

"Hey? Prince Consort, why are you leaving?"

"My name is Fu Luo Youqi!"

"oh!"

Li Yunyan watched his retreating figure, a smug smile playing on her lips.

*

As the last rays of sunlight faded on the horizon, stars and the moon appeared, casting faint shadows.

After finishing her meal in her tent, Li Yunyan changed out of her heavy formal attire with the help of Yuzhu and Yudie, feeling incredibly relaxed.

She stepped out of the tent and found the people of Beishuo Kingdom sitting around campfires of various sizes.

The aroma of the grilled meat wafted through the air, evoking memories of modern barbecue for Li Yunyan.

Li Yunyan found Fu Luo Youqi without much effort. He was in charge of the wedding procession, and his camp was naturally set up near her.
