A kiss is fine, why are you being so polite today?
Li Yunyan didn't answer, but just looked at him shyly with her beautiful eyes.
It was as if they were waiting for his next move.
He Lancheng blushed and felt hot under her gaze. He lowered his eyes and moved closer to her little by little.
Finally, she pressed her trembling lips to his.
His kiss was awkward, light and gentle, but Li Yunyan thought that he was restraining himself today because he was concerned about the great suffering she had endured last night, and thought to herself that he was quite considerate!
Gradually, the kiss deepened, and the hand on her waist grew increasingly hot.
Li Yunyan let out a soft moan and pushed him away.
She said in a sweet voice, "It's still daytime!"
He Lancheng took a deep breath and pulled her into his arms.
Li Yunyan let him hold her; she was feeling tired and didn't need to move. She lay softly in his arms.
They finally left the house for dinner and went to the old lady's courtyard to eat.
He Lancheng hadn't seen his grandmother since she was poisoned, and he felt guilty. So he made arrangements early in the morning to go over for dinner that evening.
When the two arrived at the old lady's courtyard, they heard bursts of laughter coming from inside the room.
The old lady was playing with her two great-grandchildren.
"Feng'er! Xue'er! Come and smile at your great-grandmother!"
Feng'er and Xue'er are only two months old, how could they understand what she was saying? Their two clear eyes looked at their great-grandmother with a blank expression.
But the old lady just kept doing it. Whenever she saw the two of them, she felt twenty years younger and had inexhaustible energy!
"Grandson/Granddaughter-in-law greets Grandmother!"
When the old lady saw them arrive, her smile never faded. She said kindly, "Cheng'er and Yan'er are here! Are you hungry? Please have a seat!"
"Thank you, Grandmother!"
After the meal, the old lady had the wet nurse bring the two children over and place them beside her so that she could keep an eye on them at all times.
He Lancheng thought his grandmother would greet him warmly and ask him all sorts of questions, just like before. But to his surprise, his grandmother's eyes were completely on her two children; she had no time for him whatsoever!
Sigh! It's true what they say, once you have a great-grandson, you forget about your grandson!
Li Yunyan was already used to it, and sat obediently next to the old lady, playing with the child with her and chatting from time to time.
"Yan'er, look! Xue'er looks just like you!"
Li Yunyan smiled slightly and echoed, "It does look somewhat similar!"
The old lady smiled kindly and said, "You look just like me! You're good-looking and have a good temperament!"
He Lancheng was speechless. "Grandmother, how can you tell her temperament now? What if Xue'er grows up to be a spoiled brat?"
"So what if she's unruly? No matter how unruly a girl is, our Helan Manor can afford to raise her!" After saying that, she chuckled and looked into the cradle, "Isn't that right, little Xue'er?"
After teasing him for a while, the old lady looked up at him again and joked, "What are you jealous of with your own daughter? Didn't you see Feng'er? She's practically a carbon copy of you!"
How could Helan Cheng not know?
Feng'er is less a carbon copy of him and more a carbon copy of Helan Yi!
He looked at Li Yunyan, who was smiling with her head down, and gritted his teeth inwardly, wondering what his and Yunyan's child would look like.
Thinking about this made him restless.
Observe the sky outside discreetly.
Fortunately, the old lady didn't keep them for long before she started to shoo them away, saying, "You should go back now! I, this old woman, will take care of the two children, so you don't need to worry about them!"
"Grandma, we're leaving now! We'll come see you again next time!"

He Lancheng got up somewhat hastily and returned with Li Yunyan, his steps light and quick.
Fortunately, He Lanyi had been more anxious than him before, so his current state seemed perfectly normal to Li Yunyan.
Finally back in his room, He Lancheng became nervous again, unsure of what to do with his hands and feet.
As usual, Qingyin prepared hot water for Li Yunyan. "Miss, you may take a bath now!"
"I understand, you may leave now!"
After Li Yunyan walked behind the screen, she went straight into the water.
She was surprised when she didn't see Helan Cheng come in after she finished washing.
He used to be so eager to come in, either to shower with her or to carry her out as soon as she was done, sometimes even right there in the bathtub...
So she didn't bring any change of clothes in.
"Husband?" she called softly.
"Huh? I'm here!"
He Lancheng's forehead was already sweating. Listening to the sound of water behind the screen, he didn't know whether to stand or sit.
"Husband, could you please bring me a set of undergarments?"
"...good!"
He Lancheng opened the wardrobe, which was filled to the brim.
Fortunately, Qingyin was a master of organization and arranged Li Yunyan's clothes in a very orderly manner. Before long, she found the place to put the inner garment.
He took a set of peach-colored silk undergarments and handed them to her without looking at her.
Li Yunyan dressed with a heart full of doubts. When she came out, she found that his face was red and his eyes were darting away, as if he dared not look at her.
