Chapter 223 Pretend that night never happened
As Shen Jin listened to Yan Yu's anxious explanation, he didn't know what to say and felt a little awkward.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to follow you. I'll go back now," Yan Yu said to Shen Jin after thinking for a moment.
After saying that, Yan Yu turned to leave.
"Wait a minute." Shen Jin quickly called out to Yan Yu.
When Yan Yu heard Shen Jin call out to him, he was slightly taken aback, and then turned to look at Shen Jin.
“It’s alright, let’s go back together. I’ve been here for a long time, so they won’t worry,” Shen Jin said to Yan Yu.
As he spoke, Shen Jin got up from the tree he was leaning against and walked towards Yan Yu, who stood there waiting for him.
When Shen Jin came to Yan Yu's side, he was still a little awkward. He pursed his lips, trying his best not to appear embarrassed.
The two walked back together in silence.
"I'm sorry about what happened yesterday." After a long while, Yan Yu said to Shen Jin in a low voice.
Upon hearing Yan Yu's apology, Shen Jin was slightly taken aback, then looked up at Yan Yu.
Yan Yu avoided Shen Jin's gaze, not daring to look at Shen Jin's expression at all.
"I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't have done that, but..." Yan Yu stammered as he continued to explain, afraid that Shen Jin would be angry.
However, the more he tried to explain, the more flustered he became.
Because he simply couldn't find a reason to say that he didn't intentionally want to do that kind of thing with Shen Jin, which was impossible.
There must have been a subjective reason why he did that kind of thing with Shen Jin. He definitely wanted to, and he definitely liked Shen Jin. So no matter what reason he gave to explain it to Shen Jin, it was all too far-fetched.
Shen Jin felt somewhat embarrassed listening to Yan Yu's flustered explanation.
He knew that Yan Yu couldn't be blamed for this, since he must have been partly to blame for what happened between him and Yan Yu last night.
It takes two to tango. If he hadn't eaten that fruit, that incident wouldn't have happened, so he can't blame Yan Yu entirely.
After all, this was indeed his own problem, and Yan Yu was actually trying to help him.

Upon hearing Shen Jin's words, Yan Yu was immediately stunned.

So, does that mean Shen Jin wasn't angry with him or blamed him? Does that mean Shen Jin will still talk to him in the future?
Thinking of himself, Yan Yu finally felt relieved and no longer felt as anxious as before.
Then came a surge of joy. Shen Jin said he didn't blame him and that he was really happy.
"I already told you it's not your fault, this is my problem," Shen Jin said to Yan Yu with a hint of helplessness.
Yan Yu kept blaming him, which made him even more unsure how to face Yan Yu in the future.
Yan Yu opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but Shen Jin spoke up before he could: "Don't apologize to me every time something happens. I'm not an unreasonable person. The facts are the facts."
The words he was about to say were abruptly cut off. Yan Yu looked at Shen Jin, then nodded blankly and responded.
"Alright, let's go back." Shen Jin sighed irritably and said to Yan Yu.
After saying that, Shen Jin continued walking, and Yan Yu quickly followed.
After a while, Yan Yu suddenly spoke up: "Shen Jin, I'm really happy."
Upon hearing Yan Yu's words, Shen Jin stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Yan Yu.
"What's gotten into you again?" Chen Jin asked.
"No, I'm really happy. I thought you would never talk to me again. I was so scared before. Now that I know you don't blame me, I'm relieved." Yan Yu quickly explained to Yan Yu.
Shen Jin watched Yan Yu quietly, feeling even more awkward.
Moreover, a strange emotion was spreading in his heart. He wasn't quite sure what kind of emotion it was, but it was a very strange feeling.
This will make his interactions with Yan Yu even more awkward, and he won't know how to face Yan Yu anymore.
However, no matter what, the deed is done, and he has no choice but to face it, no matter how much he doesn't want to.
"Stop spouting nonsense, or I'll really stop talking to you," Shen Jin said coldly, looking at Yan Yu.

When they returned to the tomb raiders, they found that the tomb raiders had picked a lot of fruit and were figuring out how to juice it.
Upon seeing Shen Jin and Yan Yu return, someone greeted them, "Oh, you're back?"
"Yes, I'm back." Yan Yu nodded in response.
A tomb raider jumped down from the fruit tree, holding two pieces of fruit in his hand, and smiled at the two men.
"Where did you two go? And what did you do?" the tomb raider asked jokingly.
Upon hearing his words, the two of them instantly felt extremely awkward.
Although they acted as if nothing had happened the night before, the tomb raiders did not; they even knew what they had done the night before.
"I didn't go anywhere for fun," Shen Jin replied somewhat awkwardly to the tomb raider.
The tomb raider was still smiling jokingly.
"You don't know, you left this morning, and this kid was so anxious... If you saw him like that, you'd probably laugh at him." The tomb raider said to Shen Jin with a smile.
Hearing the tomb raiders talk about him like that, Yan Yu felt a little embarrassed and coughed twice to tell them to stop talking.
Seeing Yan Yu's reaction, they not only didn't restrain themselves, but laughed even more heartily.
Shen Jin listened to their conversation without saying anything, unsure of what to say.

Shen Jin glanced at him and forced a smile.

He was afraid that Shen Jin, who was already not angry, would get angry again after they stirred things up.
"Alright, alright, I won't say anything then." The tomb raider laughed loudly.
After saying that, the tomb raider turned around and went to help the others pick fruit.
"Since you two have nothing to do now, why don't you come and help us pick some more fruit?" The tomb raider took a few steps, then turned back and asked Shen Jin and Yan Yu.
Both of them were stunned when they heard what the tomb raider said.
Before they could speak, the tomb raider continued thoughtfully, "I think you two should find a quiet place to talk things over. If there's any misunderstanding between you, it's better to clear it up as soon as possible, otherwise, this can't go on forever."

"I see..." the tomb raider replied, seemingly understanding but not quite.
"Let's help pick the fruit," Shen Jin continued, speaking to the tomb raiders.
Yan Yu nodded quickly: "Yes, we'll help you pick the fruit."
The tomb raider nodded in agreement and gave the two of them a basket to hold the fruit.
"What are you doing picking so many fruits? We can't possibly eat them all." Yan Yu looked at the many fruits that had already been picked and asked in confusion.
"Why do you care so much? Anyway, there are so many fruits here. If we don't pick them, they'll just rot on the trees. We might as well pick them and use them to make something." The tomb raider replied to Yan Yu while picking the fruits.
Hearing his words, Yan Yu nodded in understanding and then joined him in picking fruit.
