Chapter 52 Chapter 52 "I'm sorry, it's really Biqing you...

The water of the Wei River ripples and meanders northward.

The golden sunlight shines on the river, making the waves sparkle and adding a touch of gold to the lush green trees on the side.

Biqing, dressed in a green gown, stood by the Wei River, gazing at the tranquil scene before her. She exclaimed, "This is even more beautiful than the scenery I've seen in heaven!"

She glanced at Xuan Yi, who was standing beside her in a gray fur coat, and asked, "Xuan Yi, are you going to wear this coat and dive underwater?"

Biqing wanted to persuade him to change into lighter clothes early in the morning.

Such thick fur must sink very heavily when it gets wet.

Xuan Yi looked at the rippling lake, then lowered his gaze to his clothes. He waved his hand to remove the wolf fur coat that covered him, leaving only his gray suit. "You're absolutely right."

But my sword is damaged, and if I encounter danger later, I am afraid I will not be able to protect Biqing.

"Meteorite iron is not common. We will find another way to deal with your knife."

Biqing spread out her palm: "Give me your hand."

Her palms felt warm. Biqing held Xuan Yi's palm with one hand, and gathered spiritual power with the fingertips of the other hand, drawing a talisman on his palm.

The green spiritual power flashed, merged into Xuan Yi's palm and disappeared.

Feeling the soft touch on his palm, Xuan Yi's eyebrows moved slightly, and he secretly grasped Biqing's white and tender hand.

Biqing felt the force coming from her hand and thought Xuanyi was panicking at the sight of the water. She softly comforted him, "Don't be afraid. I've drawn a breath-holding talisman on your palm. It will ensure you can breathe freely underwater, as if walking on flat ground, and see things as normal!"

Xuan Yi nodded.

Biqing pulled Xuanyi into the Weishui River, stirring up layers of ripples and disappearing in the clear water.

The moment they jumped into the river, the coldness instantly swept over every inch of Biqing and Xuanyi's skin.

Even though the two of them had prepared themselves mentally, they still shuddered and shook uncontrollably from the cold lake water.

Xuan Yi subconsciously held his breath.

Remembering the breath-holding symbol painted on his palm, Xuan Yi breathed tentatively. Once he was sure he could breathe freely, as if on flat ground, he shifted his focus and carefully surveyed the dark lake bottom.

The lake, which seems to be visible at a glance, is much deeper than imagined.

A glimmer of green light flashed by in the corner of his eye. It was a bit of spiritual power that was ejected when Biqing turned her wrist. It floated to the dark bottom of the Wei River and illuminated the way forward for the two of them.

Biqing pulled Xuanyi and continued to dive deeper, following the spiritual power.

She looked up at the sunlight reflected in the water through the surface, and with the help of the sunlight, she dodged the dense water plants, as dense as a fishing net, floating in the undercurrent.

As Biqing swam through the water plants, Xuanyi felt something entangled around his ankle. He gently tugged at Biqing's hand and pointed it at his leg.

Just as Xuan Yi was about to use his demonic power to cut the water plants, a streak of green light passed by his ankle.

Biqing was one step faster than him and cut the water plants.

The cut water plants floated upwards like feathers, blocking the sunlight refracting through the water surface.

The floating water plants spread out in all directions, increasing in number. They quickly slid downwards, forming a large cage.

Biqing frowned, summoned the hydrangea, and injected spiritual power into it.

A green light flashed, and countless bamboo leaves, like sharp blades, stabbed at the water plants that were about to cover the two of them.

"How contemptuous!"

Biqing controlled the hydrangea with one hand and pulled Xuanyi with the other as they weaved through the water plants. "Use the same tactics you used against shrimp soldiers and crab generals against me!"

"We should try our best to avoid fighting them," Xuan Yi said. "Biqing, don't forget the purpose of our visit."

"knew!"

Biqing pushed aside the water plants that blocked her way and used the hydrangea to clear the way: "Let's go quickly. It's dark here and we can't see anything."

The deeper they went, the more aquatic plants appeared in front of them. They popped up like mushrooms after a rain, blocking their way.

The bamboo-like spiritual power transformed into sword energy, tinged with murderous intent, and cut the water plants as thick as a wall in half.

Biqing took the opportunity to swim with Xuan Yifei through the gaps in the cut water plants, following the direction of their own spiritual power, and getting rid of the water plants behind them that were stickier than dog-skin plasters.

The water plants she chopped into pieces slowly healed in the water and returned to normal.

As if to avenge the person who chopped it into pieces, the water plants floating in the water rushed towards Biqing rapidly.

Some of the water plants had not even fully healed yet, and rushed forward half-broken, and were then cut into pieces by the spiritual power emitted by the hydrangea.

Xuan Yi tilted his head slightly, looked at the dark green mass behind him, and a burst of demonic power popped out.

The moment the demonic power flew out, it was wrapped by the green spiritual power and returned to his body.

"Your body has just recovered, so it's not advisable to overuse your demonic power."

Biqing braved the current and walked forward with Xuanyi without looking back: "I can handle such trivial matters."

The green spiritual power is extremely conspicuous in the dark water.

On the contrary, the water plants became increasingly difficult to see clearly.

She subconsciously called out, "Xuan Yi."

Xuan Yi immediately understood and swam in front of her, leading her to follow the green light closely: "Just follow me."

His hand was held tightly by someone, Xuan Yi raised the corner of his mouth, and his pair of mandarin duck eyes were as dark as the night.

The dark waters appeared as bright as day in Xuan Yi's eyes.

He helped Biqing dodge the entangled water plants, which was much easier than for Biqing to deal with it alone.

Biqing controlled the hydrangea and cleared the messy and troublesome water plants in front of her, so that the two of them would not accidentally trip over them and delay their work.

The two cooperated with each other, like good friends who had fought side by side for many years, without words but with tacit understanding.

With Biqing's help, Xuanyi and Biqing dodged more easily.

As the two of them gradually moved away from the obstructing water plants, Xuan Yi faintly heard the sound of wind.

Xuan Yi's hearing underwater was not as sharp as on shore. He paused for a moment and carefully observed his surroundings.

The water plants that were originally intended to wrap around herself and the clear blue water now scattered in all directions, like torn pieces of paper floating in the air.

Xuan Yi sensed something strange and slowed down his movements. He released Biqing's hand and instead held her close to him.

"What's wrong?" Biqing asked nervously, "Are we blocked by water plants? Do I need to use my spiritual power again..."

"There's the sound of water."

Xuan Yi pushed aside a strand of water grass floating in front of him. When his fingers touched the water grass, it did not wrap around him like a vine, but instead became like a piece of cloth that Xuan Yi fiddled with.

A magical power emanated from his fingertips, pushing the water grass forward.

There was a faint sound of tearing water plants in my ears.

Xuan Yi's pupils tightened, and he said, "Wait for me here."

"I'll go with you!"

Biqing tightly grasped Xuan Yi's hand, afraid that he would abandon her. She simply hugged Xuan Yi's arm and said, "This is not the demon world. I have spiritual power. I don't need you to protect me!"

Xuan Yi tried to push Bi Qing's hand away. "It's dangerous up ahead. Wait here for me. I'll be back soon."

The strength in his arm suddenly disappeared, and Xuan Yi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

As a result, during this time, Biqing had already swam in front of him.

Xuan Yi was so frightened that he grabbed Biqing's arm.

Biqing struggled and glared at him angrily.

Xuan Yi knew from the look on Biqing's face that she wouldn't listen. Fearing that Biqing might be in danger alone, he quickly said, "Let's go together!"

Biqing suppressed her anger and her face returned to its usual calm expression.

The closer the two got to the green light, the more deafening the sound of the air current stirring the river water became.

The sleeves of their clothes floated in front of them with an inexplicable airflow, and Xuan Yi and Bi Qing both stopped.

Looking up, I saw a huge whirlpool surrounded by water plants in the distance.

The green spiritual power flew into it, disappeared into the green vortex.

Biqing and Xuanyi exchanged a glance, and spiritual energy flowed from her palms, transforming into a rope that tightly bound their wrists and arms. "Separating you and me will only make things more dangerous."

"This way, we won't be separated."

Xuan Yi held her hand and asked, "Biqing, are you scared?"

Biqing shook her head: "If I were afraid, I wouldn't have come with you."

Xuan Yi smiled warmly and rushed towards the vortex without hesitation.

In the blink of an eye, a huge suction force came towards them, as if countless invisible hands were grabbing their limbs and pulling them around.

The water plants inside looked like several sharp objects at this moment. Xuan Yi reacted quickly and held Biqing tightly in his arms to prevent her from being pricked by the sharp water plants.

Biqing also took advantage of the opportunity when Xuan Yi was protecting himself and cast a barrier to protect the two of them.

Even though the two of them moved quickly, their clothes were still cut by the water plants, making a tearing sound.

Biqing, who was in the barrier, let out a long sigh, untied the ropes around their wrists, and controlled the barrier that swirled around with the air currents. "It's too dangerous. If you're not careful, the water plants will cut your throat."

A few pieces of water grass stuck to the barrier, and then there was a crackling sound.

The vortex rolled up the shells and hit the outside of the barrier. After being bounced off, they flew away with the air flow.

"Go to the center." Xuan Yi reminded, and he calmly mixed his demonic power into the barrier opened by Biqing.

Biqing stabilized the barrier, squeezed through the almost irresistible airflow, and came to the center of the vortex.

In a moment, the force that was against him dissipated like smoke.

Biqing looked at the whirlpool swirling upwards, which was mixed with countless water plants and shells, as well as mud and sand from the bottom of the lake.

A familiar green light appeared under their feet. Biqing and Xuanyi both lowered their heads. River clams were swimming leisurely through the cave entrance, which was only one person wide, and they were completely out of tune with the deadly whirlpool.

Biqing and Xuanyi walked forward side by side tacitly. When they stepped into the cave entrance, they were bounced back by an invisible barrier.

The clam in the cave shook, flapped its two flat shells, and fled, leaving behind a trail of water and a tiny bubble.

A drop of sweat fell on Biqing's forehead: "It seems that we... disturbed each other..."

Xuan Yi was silent for a moment, then slowly spoke, "It's a little late to talk about this now."

The softness in her palm suddenly disappeared, and Biqing rolled up her sleeves: "If that's the case, don't blame me - I've done you too much!"

Xuan Yi was stunned and tried to stop him: "Wait! Biqing!"

Before he could utter the second half of the sentence, "It's not too late to take action later," a green light exploded before his eyes.

Xuan Yi was blinded by the intense and dazzling spiritual power and raised his hand to block it.

With a loud bang, the sound of the barrier shattering reached Xuan Yi's ears. Xuan Yi lowered his arm and saw Bi Qing adjusting her sleeves. She said cheerfully, "Alright! Let's go in!"

Xuan Yi's mouth twitched: "Why haven't I seen you be so reckless in the demon world?"

"Reckless? I'm usually like that too."

Biqing pretended to be stupid and urged, "Hurry up and get in! It's better than getting tangled up in the weeds!"

The barrier had been broken by Biqing, and Xuanyi followed Biqing into the cave.

The moment the two stepped in, the feeling of water squeezing outside the barrier disappeared completely.

Although I was still in the water and surrounded by water, the feeling was completely different from before.

The bright scene before their eyes was in stark contrast to the dark lake bottom, making Biqing and Xuanyi feel a little uncomfortable.

After a short while of relaxation, the two of them gathered their minds and looked at the magnificent palace in the distance, which was surrounded by colorful corals.

Outside the palace, several mermaids with bright scales were surrounding it, playing and having fun, looking very relaxed and happy. They had no idea that the barrier had been broken, let alone that outsiders had come.

Biqing's face lit up with joy, and she said cheerfully, "The Zhaixin Bottle should be right there!"

"Who is so reckless as to run wild in the Wei River?"

The man's low growl came from the palace, scaring the mermaids playing outside and making them flee in panic.

Biqing and Xuanyi were both frightened. Xuanyi frowned and subconsciously stood in front of Biqing, but his hand was grabbed by someone.

There was a tug on the palm of her hand, and Biqing beside her hurriedly said, "Hide first!" After that, she pulled Xuan Yi and turned into a green light to hide behind Shanhu.

Biqing quietly poked her head out to look in the direction of the palace. After waiting for a long while, she heard no sound, nor saw anyone chasing after her. She breathed a sigh of relief and said with regret, "I really shouldn't have been so reckless in breaking the barrier."

"Without breaking the barrier, you and I can't escape the water plants and get in here."

Xuan Yi comforted her while looking around cautiously, "If you think I was being reckless, try to change it next time."

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of what Biqing was busy with.

Xuan Yi's gaze shifted towards Bi Qing. For a split second, he seemed frozen in place, unable to move his eyes.

The bun on Biqing's head disappeared, replaced by hair that curled up like waves and spread behind her.

The green and pink dress that Biqing was wearing was the one Shuiyun gave her when she was in the demon world.

Beneath her dress, a long fish tail appeared. Its cyan scales, translucent as jade in the water, resembled the most precious treasure in the six realms, exceedingly beautiful.

Xuan Yi was deeply attracted by the appearance of the person in front of him, and his pair of mandarin duck eyes were glued to Biqing's face, unable to move away at all.

Biqing's cheeks flushed red as she was stared at by Xuan Yi's fiery eyes. She said timidly, "Don't look!"

Xuan Yi realized that his behavior was really rude, and a hint of red appeared on his cheekbones, reflected by the coral.

He turned his head and said incoherently: "I'm sorry, it's really because you are too beautiful, Biqing..."

"Who asked you these questions?"

Biqing shyly turned her back, the corners of her mouth curling up where Xuanyi couldn't see. "You, you're almost like this! Let's disguise ourselves as mermaids and sneak in, so we don't start a fight and let everyone know."

But I just broke through the barrier and broke in, so everyone should know about it...

Xuan Yi recalled the appearance of the mermaid he had just seen, and suddenly he transformed himself, with a gray fish tail growing out from under his gray clothes.

Biqing looked at Xuan Yi and poured a little spiritual power onto him.

Xuan Yi's clothes disappeared in an instant, revealing his muscular body.

The cold lake water clung to his skin, flowing across his muscles that undulated like hills, and the fist-sized, reddish-brown scars on his abdomen.

Biqing's eyes fell on the scar on Xuanyi's abdomen.

It’s such a big scar, bigger than the palm of my hand.

Xuan Yi sensed Biqing's distress, raised his hand to cover his abdomen, frowned, and asked, "Biqing, do I really have to dress like this?"

The feeling of not having clothes on is really unbearable.

Bi Qing said, "Just now I saw that male mermaid was dressed like this. For the sake of Zhai Xin Ping and your people, please be patient for a moment."

She took Xuan Yi's hand and inched closer to the palace. "It's a good time to get used to this fish tail. Don't worry, once we get into the palace, the fish tail will disappear on its own. I don't want to be a fish underwater."

Xuan Yi and she pushed forward against the current. He looked at the fish swimming freely around them and asked, "Biqing, if I remember correctly, mermaids should live in the East China Sea. Why are they here?"

"Perhaps he offended the Emperor of Heaven and was punished like this."

Biqing brushed aside the small fish that were surrounding her: "We'll think about this later. Let's hurry to the hall...ah!"

"What's wrong?!"

Hearing Biqing's short cry, Xuan Yi hurried forward to check.

Biqing retracted her hand that had pushed Xiaoyu away, and a light red bloodstain spread in the lake water, disappearing like smoke in front of the two of them.

"It's just a prick, it's nothing serious."

Biqing pinched the finger that was pricked by the fish hard, squeezing out the blood beads remaining in the tiny wound until no more blood could be squeezed out.

A faint burning pain appeared at the fingertips, and Bi Qing thought to herself that something was wrong: the fish was poisonous.

She was about to mobilize her spiritual power to expel the poison from herself, but the wound on her fingertip was covered by demonic power.

The tingling in her fingertips gradually subsided. Biqing became angrier and angrier as she thought about it. She took the hydrangea and threw it at the fish.

"state!"

A short and crisp sound echoed in Xuan Yi's ears.

Biqing's belly was filled with resentment, and her strength was indeed not small. The fish around them swayed and fell away from them like autumn leaves, sinking to the bottom of the lake.

"I'm a god! Don't try to poison me!"

Biqing shook her slightly numb fingers, groaned heavily, and continued swimming forward with Xuanyi.

The two of them swam for half a cup of tea, then naturally stopped and looked at each other. Bi Qing said, "You discovered it too?"

Xuan Yi nodded.

The palace was clearly within reach, yet the two of them could not reach it no matter what.

"Who can be protected by such a trick?"

Biqing raised her hand to release a stream of spiritual power, but she felt a pulling sensation on her sleeve.

She looked in the direction of the force: a small river clam was biting her sleeve and pulling it back desperately.

The little river clam used up all its strength and flapped its wings in place for a long time.

Biqing had no intention of hurting it. She turned her wrist and the spiritual power at her fingertips turned into bubbles and flew towards the small river clam.

The little river clam sensed danger and quickly opened its mouth to avoid the bubble that was trying to trap it.

However, it dodged Biqing's spiritual power but failed to dodge Xuanyi's demonic power.

"Shui Yun!"

The little river clam, trapped in a bubble condensed by demonic power, cried anxiously, "It's me! Don't you remember me?"

"Shui Yun?" Xuan Yi narrowed his eyes slightly. "Do you know her?"

Upon hearing this, Biqing turned to look at the little river bermule and asked in surprise, "Do you know Miss Shuiyun?"

The little river clam was stunned for a moment when it saw Biqing's face, and frantically struggled in the bubbles, "Let me out! You're not Shuiyun!"

The surprise on its face turned into anger: "What did you do to Shuiyun! Why are Shuiyun's clothes on you!"

"The clothes were given to me by Miss Shuiyun."

Biqing looked at the little river clam darting around in the water ball and said, "You're so worried about Miss Shuiyun. You must be very close friends with her."

The little river clam closed its shell tightly, ignoring Biqing.

"Don't waste your breath on it."

Xuan Yi held the water ball and gave Bi Qing a look: "It's just a river clam spirit, just kill it."

The little river clam in the water ball trembled.

Bi Qing understood and followed Xuan Yi's advice, saying, "Kill it and give it to Miss Mingzhu as a toy. She's sure to like it. As for the clam meat... give it to Jiu and the others. They're sure to love it!"

She smacked her lips. "I heard that river clams make the most delicious soup. I'm really looking forward to it. Xuanyi, how about we make some soup with them?"

"I, I'm not tasty!" the little river clam shouted.

"You won't know whether it tastes good or not until you try it!" Biqing showed a wicked smile and stretched out her hand towards the small river clam.

Seeing a hand the same size as itself reaching out to it, the little river clam frantically cried out, "No, no, no! I just saved you! Don't eat me!"

The hand reaching out to it turned downwards, Biqing held the water ball in her hand and held it in front of her: "Save me? Are you so kind?"

She naturally believed in the kindness of the little river clam. It must have mistaken her for Shui Yun, which is why it bit her sleeve to attract her attention.

"Biqing, don't waste your time on it."

Xuan Yi snorted, half mocking, half threatening: "A clam spirit that can't transform deserves no regrets in death."

The little river clam said, "What's wrong with not being able to transform? You're so amazing that you can! If you're so powerful, why don't you just stay at the bottom of the lake as a fish and live here forever?"

Biqing caught its words and asked, "Can't leave it forever? Why?"

The little river clam realized that he had said the wrong thing, so he closed his shell and remained silent for a long time.

"My name is Biqing, and I come from the heavens." Biqing asked gently, "Do you want to find Miss Shuiyun, but can't leave here?"

“Heaven…?”

The little river clam finally spoke, unable to believe that the woman before him was actually a deity: "So, you are a deity, right?!"

"The Xiaoxiang clan in the heavenly realm." Biqing answered patiently.

The little river clam pondered for a moment, then looked at the person in front of him warily: "You are a god, so how do you know Shui Yun?! I once heard the young master say that gods cannot go to the demon world! Don't try to fool me!"

"She's a god, and I'm a demon," Xuan Yi said indifferently. "Why do you think she knew Shui Yun?"

The little river clam didn't want to pay any attention to Xuan Yi, and asked Bi Qing eagerly, "Can you really take me away from here and find Shui Yun?"

"I can, but..." Biqing's eyes shifted towards Xuan Yi.

Xuan Yi bluntly stated, "The water source in the demon world is being corroded by foul energy. If you go there, you will definitely not live as comfortably as you do now."

"But I can see Shuiyun!" said the little clam. "This place is like a cage! If you can really take me away from here, I'll accept death!"

"Why are you so desperate at such a young age?"

Biqing said, "I will take you there. But Xuanyi and I are not very familiar with the riverbed. Would you be willing to show us the way?"

Afraid that the little river clam wouldn't believe her, she emphasized again, "Don't be afraid. This dress was given to me by Miss Shuiyun out of gratitude. You are her friend, so I will naturally help you."

The shell of the small river clam is slightly open.

Bi Qing asked, "Just now you said this place was dangerous. Was it because of the illusion ahead?"

The little river clam was skeptical and asked, "Since you know the palace is an illusion, why are you still moving forward?"

"I just realized it. How else would I have seen you?"

“Actually, those weren’t hallucinations.”

The little river clam said seriously: "What you see is the reflection. The real palace is above."

It bumped into the water ball and said, "Can you let me out first? I'm almost suffocating!"

Biqing looked at Xuanyi and said softly, "For Miss Shuiyun's sake, let it go for now."

"What dignity can a lotus demon have?"

As soon as Xuan Yi finished speaking, the water ball that trapped the little river clam instantly disappeared. He threatened, "I'm letting you out for Biqing's sake. You'd better behave yourself."

The small river clam swimming in the water froze in place.

Biqing quickly protected it in her palm: "Don't pay attention to Xuan Yi, he loves scaring children the most."

The little river clam said, "Biqing, did you see the coral reefs when you came here? They were red, huge patches of coral."

Biqing nodded.

"We need to go back there now. The palace is underneath the coral, and the one in front is just a trick."

The little river clam grabbed onto Biqing's sleeve and swam back: "Hurry up! There's a cliff ahead. It'll be troublesome if we get sucked in!"

"Suck it in? Are there any monsters under the cliff?" Biqing asked.

"Young Master said there was one, but I've never seen one!" said the little river clam. "You're truly brave, actually breaking the barrier Young Master set up at the underwater cave entrance. I'll lead you to the main hall entrance later, and the rest is up to you!"

"You won't come in with us?"

"I, I'm afraid that if the Master knew, he would kill me!"

"Didn't you just disregard life and death?" Xuan Yi asked disdainfully.

The little river clam rolled its eyes at Xuan Yi and said, "I'm a little river clam that can bend and stretch!"

"Alright, alright! Why are there always quarrels?" Bi Qing hurriedly stopped him. "Little river clam, do you know where the Zhaixin bottle is?"

"Treasures? Treasures are all in the treasury of the main hall."

Biqing and Xuanyi followed the little river clam back to the coral reef they passed by on the way here. The three of them swam upstream for a while and then stopped.

Biqing and Xuanyi looked at a plain coral hanging upside down on a reef, hidden by aquatic plants and fish, and asked in unison, "Are you sure?"

"Of course!"

In order to prove itself, the little river clam rammed into the coral. With a loud "bang", the coral split into two halves from the middle and emitted a golden light.

Xuan Yi and Bi Qing raised their hands to block the dazzling light. Bi Qing even spoke in the glare, "How dare you be even more reckless than me?! Is this how you usually enter the palace to look for your young master?!"

With a whoosh, Xuan Yi was the first to react. He protected Bi Qing while pushing away the small river clam. "Be careful!"

The moment Xuan Yi hugged Bi Qing, a green barrier opened in front of them.

A slender fish bone like an arrow flew straight into the faces of the two men.

"I put so much effort into pretending to be a mermaid, but I was seen through in an instant!"

Biqing was filled with rage, and the green spiritual power instantly shattered the fish bone.

White fish bones floated in front of Biqing and Xuanyi like broken jade, and scattered on the corals like stars.

Xuan Yi glanced at the small river clam beside him, his mandarin duck eyes filled with viciousness.

The little river clam hiding inside the barrier trembled and said, "Usually...usually it's not like this..."

"What a trick." Xuan Yi raised his hand, removed the fish tail, and changed back into his original clothes.

Biqing transformed herself and casually cast a barrier to protect herself and Xuanyi. "Little clam, find a safe place outside and wait for me. Once Xuanyi and I find the Zhaixin Bottle, we'll come pick you up."

The little river clam shook its head and clung to Biqing's cyan sleeve, fearing that Biqing would abandon it. "I'll go with you!"

Biqing held the little river clam and put it into her sleeve: "It's safer here, so I won't hurt you if I fight."

Upon hearing this, the little river clam hid in Biqing's sleeve.

Biqing and Xuanyi stepped into the coral gate that shot out fish bones without any hesitation.

Countless fish bones with sharp spikes attacked them, but Biqing and Xuanyi remained calm and opened the barrier to resist.

With the sound of breaking jade, the two of them walked calmly into the door.

As expected, the wide-open coral door slammed shut with a loud bang, cutting off the two's escape route.

The fish bones that attacked Biqing and Xuanyi disappeared as the door closed.

Biqing's mouth twitched, and she said speechlessly, "What a boring trick." She glanced at the wide-open window in the hall and said, "If the door can't be used, why not use the window?"

Biqing's gaze shifted towards the throne in the center of the hall, which was made of a giant shell, painted with gold, and inlaid with countless pearls.

The carpet under her feet was made of countless golden and red scales, extending along the edge of the throne to Biqing's toes.

Under the jade pillars on both sides, stone sculptures in the shape of carp are neatly arranged, and the top of the fish tail supports a golden disc for burning lamp oil.

The empty hall was unusually quiet; Biqing could only hear the differing depths of her own and Xuan Yi's breathing.

The blue demonic power passed by her and landed on the carpet covered with golden fish scales.

The golden-red carpet was instantly stained with a layer of blue gauze as thin as a cicada's wing. The neat fish-scale carpet was suddenly lifted for a moment and then closed again.

The frequency of opening and closing is very similar to a fish breathing with its gills in water.

Biqing frowned at the strange sight: "What on earth is this?"

"These are the scales of the goldfish fairy..."

The weak voice of the little river clam came from Biqing's sleeve: "The young master ordered people to use the scales of the dead goldfish fairy to piece them together piece by piece..."

Biqing felt sick just thinking about that scene. She quickly put it out of her mind and used her spiritual power to fly over the golden-red scales in front of her.

Biqing was prepared for an ambush, but she never expected to reach the throne so smoothly.

She narrowed her eyes slightly and said to Xuan Yi who was following closely behind her, "Don't come over!"

Xuan Yi, who was about to go to Biqing's side, stopped moving after hearing this and looked around the eerily quiet hall with vigilance.

The two looked at each other from a distance and understood what the other was thinking.

But Xuan Yi did not intend to stay where he was and handed over all matters to Biqing.

Seeking a way to purify, all he thinks and does is him.

He must and can only be the one to bear the consequences.

Xuan Yi transformed into a wisp of gray smoke and landed in front of Biqing. A burst of demonic power shot out and landed on the throne, opening the barrier to welcome the danger.

The moment the demonic power fell into the throne, the pearls inlaid on it were like wood roasted in a blazing fire, making crackling sounds like firecrackers.

The pearl at the top, which was as big as Xuan Yi's palm, cracked from top to bottom without any warning, broke into two, and fell to the ground.

Xuan Yi was a whole head taller than Bi Qing. He stood in front of Bi Qing, so Bi Qing couldn't see anything.

Biqing heard the noise and pulled Xuanyi over: "What's wrong!" As she spoke, the hydrangea was already hanging in front of her, emitting a green light.

The sound of something sharp piercing water was heard behind her. The hydrangea hanging in front of Biqing quickly flew above her head, and bamboo leaves like sharp blades flew out of the hydrangea.

The green bamboo leaves penetrated the golden-red fish scales and embedded themselves in them, like nails hammered into wooden strips, pinning the fish scales firmly to the ground.

The golden-red fish scales struggled several times, some of them stopped moving after failing, and some broke free from the bamboo leaves and attacked Biqing and Xuanyi.

Xuan Yi sneered, raised his hand, and the sword fell into his palm.

Biqing was surprised and said, "This knife is not..."

Xuan Yi used his scabbard to knock off the fish scales that were hitting his face. Following the force of the scales, he turned his wrist and used the scabbard to leverage the force to change the direction of the scales.

Xuan Yi's movements were so fast that Biqing could only see a few golden-red afterimages. When she looked again, the fish scales had already been nailed to the door, halfway deeply sunk into it.

Biqing lowered her eyes. The sight before her frightened her so much that she took two steps back and fell into Xuan Yi's arms. "This! This is!"

Xuan Yi tightened his arms. Even though he had seen all kinds of bloody and bizarre scenes in the demon world, he was still shocked by the scene before him and his hair stood on end.

Beneath the golden-red fish scales were two huge eyeballs.

The skin around his eyeballs was dry, yellow, and shrunken, no different from rough tree bark. His open eyes, unblinking and motionless, had a half-curved depression in their center, staring fixedly at the ceiling of the hall.

There was dead silence.

Biqing didn't dare to look anymore and shrank into Xuan Yi's arms, as if only this could make her feel a little at ease.

The big palm tentatively fell on Biqing's back, gently stroking her slightly trembling body.

"Be quiet, or you won't alarm the monster."

Xuan Yi's deep voice was like the breeze after a spring night of rain, slightly cool yet extremely gentle.

There was a crisp sound of an object falling to the ground behind him. Xuan Yi's thoughts turned slightly, and with a flick of his demonic power, the pearl that had just split into two halves fell into his palm.

Xuan Yi looked into those huge, dry pupils, then glanced at the pearl in his palm that was neatly split in two.

The pearls together were as big as his palm. Xuan Yi narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at the eyes in the center of the hall again.

Looks like the right size.

"Biqing." Xuan Yi jokingly whispered, "How about I perform a magic trick for you?"

"What time is it! You're still in the mood to perform magic tricks!"

Biqing half-raised her eyelids and quickly scanned those eyeballs: "Let's find the treasure house quickly and get out of here! I don't want to stay here for a moment!"

"It will be found immediately."

Xuan Yi threw the split pearl into two halves at the pupil-less eye.

Biqing watched the pearl draw a perfect arc in the air and land squarely on the depression in the center of the eyeball.

A perfect fit that fits perfectly.

Biqing was startled, and then she heard the sound of a heavy stone pillar scraping against the ground.

The scales embedded in the gate fell to the ground like fallen leaves.

The door opened a gap about the width of a person, and a ray of sunlight shone through the gap onto the shriveled skin around the eyes.

In a trance, Biqing seemed to see the eyes move for a moment.

Countless mermaids broke in through the window, and a few flew in through the crack of the door. They were so fast that Biqing could only see a black shadow flash by.

Biqing's body lightened, and all she could hear was the dull thud of water rushing past her ears. When she regained consciousness, she had already landed on the hall's pillars with Xuan Yi.

"Biqing, now is not the time to be in a daze."

Xuan Yi looked at the mermen attacking him, his face irritated. "What about the clams?"

"I wasn't the one who tipped off!"

The little river clam hiding in Biqing's sleeve heard the hidden meaning in his words and hurriedly explained, "You broke the barrier, so it's normal for the young master to be wary of you!"

"Deal with the matter at hand first!"

Biqing took a closer look: the mermaid with a fish tail in front of her was completely unrecognizable, holding a weapon made of fish bones.

Groups of mermaids have barnacles crawling all over their faces, half of their faces are entangled in seaweed, and most of them have only one eye.

Not only that, most mermaids have only one arm and rarely appear healthy.

This is far from Biqing's impression of a "very beautiful mermaid".

This is not a mermaid, it's clearly a monster!

"They're not mermaids!" said the little clam. "They're all transformed from sick goldfish fairies!"

When the Goldfish Fairy saw Biqing and Xuanyi's faces, jealousy immediately flashed in her eyes, and her terrifying face became even more distorted and hideous.

Biqing and Xuanyi frowned unconsciously.

Especially Xuan Yi, who was in the water and had lost his weapon, it was difficult for him to get close to the Goldfish Fairy, let alone take their lives.

The hydrangea that had been hanging beside Biqing suddenly fell into Xuanyi's hands. Xuanyi was stunned and saw Biqing gather her spiritual power in her palm, turning it into a green sword.

Biqing gripped the sword tightly in her hand and swung it towards the Goldfish Fairy, not giving Xuan Yi any chance to resist.

In this way, Xuan Yi had to rely on the power of the hydrangea to fight the enemy.

When the Goldfish Fairy saw the two separated, she split up into two groups.

Biqing swung her sword, and the sword energy swept across, cutting off the weapons in the hands of the goldfish fairies who were surrounding her.

At such a close distance, Biqing could clearly see that the fishbone-shaped weapons were not held in the hands of the goldfish fairies, but were integrated with their palms.

Some even had countless fish bones emerging from the goldfish fairy's hands.

The color of the weapon was very similar to the fish that had stabbed Biqing. She reminded Xuan Yi, "The weapon is poisonous! Don't let it scratch you!"

As she was speaking, the weapon that was cut off by Biqing slowly grew out and turned back to its original appearance in the hands of the Goldfish Fairy.

A drop of cold sweat fell on Biqing's forehead.

At the other end of the hall, Xuan Yi, who was entangled with the Goldfish Fairy, dodged and responded, "I know! Biqing, be careful!"

He wanted to chop the goldfish fairy into pieces, just like he did with the wolf-eating eagle, once and for all.

But the goldfish fairies were moving too fast, and Biqing was fighting with them from a distance. Xuan Yi was afraid that he would accidentally hurt Biqing.

Xuan Yi injected demonic power into the hydrangea, controlling it very carefully.

In the past, Biqing would definitely feel sorry for the Goldfish Fairy, but now she just wanted to end this inexplicable fight as soon as possible, find the entrance to the treasure room, get the Zhaixin Bottle and leave the bottom of the Wei River.

The goldfish fairy looked straight ahead, her eyes seemed to be welded to Biqing's face.

The goldfish fairies moved extremely fast, and Biqing was unable to defend herself several times, and her face was almost cut by their weapons.

"insidious!"

Biqing stabbed the goldfish demon with a sword. With a "swish" sound, the sword pierced through the goldfish fairy's shoulder without mercy.

The goldfish fairy screamed, and green blood gushed out like a waterfall.

Unlike Biqing's pricked finger, the green blood did not dissolve in the water, but instead condensed and bubbled out, dripping onto the ground and turning into a pool of hard material like a stone.

The sword made of spiritual power dissipated in an instant and returned to Biqing's hand without a drop of blood.

Transforming into a sword consumes a lot of spiritual energy. Biqing felt that her shoulders were a little heavy, so she put away the long sword in her hand and used her spiritual energy to transform into countless crescent-shaped green short blades.

At the other end of the hall, Xuan Yi was struggling with other goldfish fairies. The hydrangea in his hand suddenly emitted a green light, and a barrier was cast around him without his control.

Immediately afterwards, Xuan Yi heard the subtle sound of a sharp blade cutting through skin.
