Chapter 196: Elbows Turned Outward
"VIP room?"
Tu Huan was slightly surprised.
Lan Qiaosheng smiled and said, "Miss Tu, if you're not in a hurry to leave, why not go to the VIP lounge and take a closer look at the statue?"
This made Tu Huan even more surprised!
"Well, I seem to..."
"Tu Huan!"
She was about to politely refuse when someone called her from behind.
She turned around suddenly, and before she saw the person coming, she heard Lan Qiaosheng's unhappy voice behind her ears.
"Why are you in such a hurry? I will personally take Miss Tu back after this is over."
A figure strode over, even running twice in the last few steps. He stopped in front of Tu Huan and Lan Qiaosheng. Before Tu Huan could speak, he pulled Tu Huan to his side and tucked her in. He smiled at Lan Qiaosheng and said, "Uncle, it's too late. Don't take her to your little police station. I'll take Miss Tu back first."
"Are you here to sabotage us on purpose?" Lan Qiaosheng glared at him and turned to invite Tu Huan, but his sight was once again blocked by the tall figure of his nephew Qin Lang.
Lan Qiaosheng took a step back and said, "I just want Miss Tu to take a good look."
Tu Huan didn't know what these two people were talking about, but from Qin Lang's words when he came over and called people, she caught a very important piece of information: it turned out that Qin Lang and Lan Qiaosheng were uncle and nephew.
No wonder Lan Qiaosheng took special care of her when she was holding the business card given by Qin Lang.
I see.
She looked at the two people in front of her again. Underneath their smiling faces, there was clearly a dark tide, a tug of war between the uncle and nephew. She cautiously maintained an "ignorant" silence.
Since Qin Lang stopped her, then... there must be a need to stop her.
Lan Qiaosheng and his nephew Qin Lang stared at each other for a long time. He could see the "rejection" in his nephew's eyes and couldn't help but sigh, "You! Really..." What did he mean by "really"? Lan Qiaosheng didn't say it out loud, but turned to look at Tu Huan and smiled politely, "Miss Tu, since Qin Lang came to pick you up, I won't waste your precious time. I hope you can come and visit us next time when you're free."
Tu Huan smiled and said in return, "Thank you very much for your care."
"You're welcome. Then you guys chat."
Before leaving, Lan Qiaosheng pointed at Qin Lang with dismay and scolded him with a smile: "You are so cunning. Why don't you come back to help your uncle and give you the ability."
When Qin Lang heard the tone, he knew that everything was fine, and he also became playful in his tone towards the elder who loved him so much.
"That won't do. I've helped you. Whoever inherits the Qin family's legacy and loses his son will fight you to the death."
Lan Qiao laughed angrily and said unhappily, "How much wealth can your Qin family's legacy make? Even if you can be a gate god guarding a mountain of gold, he still wouldn't be willing to torment you."
Seeing Tu Huan's eyes shining beside him, Lan Qiaosheng didn't want to talk about his family's troubles in front of outsiders. He raised his hand and said, "Okay, since you've come in person, don't keep the guests waiting too long. It seems to be snowing outside. Be careful on the way back."
"I understand, uncle." Qin Lang said.
"I have several distinguished guests waiting for me, so I won't stay with you any longer. Miss Tu, take care."
Tu Huan nodded: "Goodbye, Mr. Lan."
"Goodbye, bye."
Qin Lang suddenly remembered something and called Lan Qiaosheng over, "Uncle, is someone from the Ming family here?"
Lan Qiaosheng glanced around subconsciously when he heard this, and asked in surprise, "What's the matter with you, kid, planting spies on me?"
"No, I just heard a rumor." Qin Lang covered it up casually, "Who came from the Ming family?"
"Don't worry about who's coming. Just take care of Miss Tu."
Obviously, Lan Qiaosheng didn't want to talk about this.
Qin Lang did not ask any further questions. "The Ming family has already obtained one, so we should not dwell on it anymore."
Lan Qiaosheng pretended to be deaf and said to Tu Huan with a smile, "The Ancient and Modern Hall is open to the public for the next seven days. Miss Tu, if you have nothing to do, come and visit often."
"Okay, Mr. Lan."
Outside Tianxiang Pavilion, tiny snowflakes fell.
Tu Huan put on the coat given by the staff and just walked out of Tianxiang Pavilion when she felt a chill.
Qin Lang tilted his head, "Are you cold? Can I get you another cloak?"
"No, aren't we going to your store?"
Qin Lang didn't waste any more time and drove Tu Huan back to Bafanglaicai. It was not far from Tianxiang Pavilion, just two turns away.
After parking the car and turning off the engine, the two men pushed the door and returned to the store with some snowflakes on their heads and shoulders.
The noisy Hachiko, who had been standing on the bird stand with his eyelids drooping, fluttered his wings excitedly when he saw someone coming in.
"Guests are coming! Guests are coming! Lao Qin is here to receive guests!"
Tu Huan burst out laughing when she heard the noise.
Qin Lang, who was taking off his scarf, laughed angrily. He stepped forward and tapped the eight-foot bird's head twice, cursing, "Come on, you big customer! Come on! Can't you see that your father is back?"
He walked to the tea table, took out a few tissues and handed them to Tu Huan, "Wipe the snow?"
"Thanks."
Brushing off the snowflakes, Tu Huan was very curious about Ba Chi's call. At Qin Lang's signal, she sat where she sat the last time she came.
Qin Lang fetched water to make tea, and was very excited to see Tu Huan in the middle of the night.
Tu Huan was curious: "Did you teach it to yell like that?"
"Am I so uncultured?" Qin Lang raised his eyes and glared at Ba Chi. Ba Chi obediently folded his wings and huddled on the shelf.
Tu Huan: ...
So obedient?
A cup of hot tea was placed in front of her, and she heard Qin Lang say, "Nuan Nuan."
"Okay, thank you."
Qin Lang's temperament changed when he returned to his shop. When he faced Lan Qiaosheng just now, she always felt that he was a different person. He was a little defensive, not very obvious but she could feel it. But when he returned to Bafang Laicai, he felt much more relaxed.
Qin Lang saw her looking at him and smiled, "Why, do you feel that I am different in front of my uncle?"
"Well, a little bit." Tu Huan said honestly.
"You have sharp eyes." Qin Lang touched his nose and sighed softly, "My uncle treats me well."
Tu Huan nodded, understanding the subtext of the words: someone was not treating him well.
These were all other people's family affairs. Tu Huan didn't like to pry into the details, so she didn't ask any more questions. Qin Lang glanced at her and didn't say much.
The two of them cleverly passed over the topic.
After drinking a cup of hot tea, Tu Huan asked, "Mr. Lan said your business card can be viewed in the VIP lounge. What does that mean?"
"He tricked you."
Qin Lang unceremoniously exposed his uncle's scheme.
Tu Huan was stunned.
Qin Lang sat up, looked at her and smiled, "My uncle is a typical businessman. He thinks you're a good person, so he wants to invite you to his small party to chat. It's boring, so why don't you come back to my place for tea?"
Tu Huan: "Oh."
"Are there any interesting things at the exhibition?" Qin Lang chatted while making tea.
Tu Huan thought for a moment and said, "They're all pretty good. I can't afford them anyway, so I'll just watch for fun."
Qin Lang raised his eyes and asked, "Which one is most interesting?"
"That fake statue." Tu Huan was very happy.
When Qin Lang heard this, he was instantly amused and couldn't help laughing out loud.
"It's a good thing you didn't say that in front of my uncle, otherwise he would be so angry that he would cry, hahahaha."
