Chapter 16: Finally got what I wanted
Qi Xu's focus was all on Li Jinyan and her family. When she was about to reach the gate, she realized that Jiang Hongyi had been standing behind her. She looked at him with deep and unfathomable eyes and subconsciously wanted to explain.
"I just can't stand their hypocritical behavior..."
"Um."
Jiang Hongyi didn't wait for her to finish her explanation. He nodded coldly and habitually answered with one word. He waited for her to walk into the courtyard door, raised his hand to close it, and instantly isolated the gossiping people outside the door.
Qi Xu was so annoyed that he almost wanted to slap himself. Why was he explaining so quickly? Others might not like to hear it.
She lowered her head in frustration. Jiang Hongyi looked at the top of her head, with complex thoughts in his eyes that he himself was not aware of. He felt a little distressed and a little pity.
Jiang Hongyi's hand couldn't help but reach out to the top of her head. He originally wanted to touch it, but somehow when his hand touched the top of Qi Xu's head, he ended up patting it.
"Go ask Grandpa when he will go to the brigade."
The concise question and the sudden pat on his head brought Qi Xu back to reality from his deep thoughts. "Ah? Oh, okay, I'll go ask Grandpa."
She was actually quite worried about her grandfather. When she walked in front of Qi Hong, she found that Qi Hong looked dazed, as if his soul had left his body, and he had lost his former energy and spirit.
"Grandpa, are we still going to the brigade?"
"Go! Why not? I don't want to be bitten by that ungrateful family for the rest of my life!"
When Qi Hong heard her cautious question, his eyes widened, his fists clenched, and he became very determined.
"Okay, Grandpa, the brigade should be working now. If we go earlier, we can solve the problem earlier."
With Qi Hong's consent, Qi Xu helped him walk out of the house again. Jiang Hongyi was already waiting outside the door.
So Jiang Hongyi borrowed an ox cart from Aunt Zhu's house and drove them both towards the brigade.
As we were walking, suddenly a strong wind blew and dark clouds gathered in the sky. Lightning began to appear on the horizon, striking the same spot one after another.
Qi Xu knew that this situation must be a punishment from heaven. As for why it manifested so quickly, he was afraid that those shameless people had done something immoral again.
But that has nothing to do with her. She had kindly reminded them, but some people refused to listen. It was not her fault.
The journey to the brigade was smooth, but after she helped Qi Hong sit in the brigade captain's office and expressed her request, she heard that it could not be handled.
The captain didn't say anything absolutely, and Qi Xu saw that there was room for a turnaround.
"Captain, is there any other way? If our family continues like this, my grandfather and I will be broke."
She could see the captain's hesitation and the difficulty in expressing his feelings, so she immediately looked pitiful, with tears welling up in her eyes, as if they would fall at any second.
"You, don't cry."
"Yes, there is a way. Our brigade doesn't have the quota to sever ties, and we can't provide proof. However, we can notarize the separation and publish it on the bulletin board later."
"But, Brother Qi, wouldn't it be too extreme to do this?"
The team leader was still thinking about whether he could try to persuade them. If such a thing happened in the village he was in charge of and it got out, people would definitely accuse him of mismanagement.
"Am I being too ruthless? Didn't the team ignore Qi and I after we were kicked out for so many years? Now, notarize it immediately."
Qi Hong's resolute attitude made the captain no longer dare to persuade him. He immediately took out the notarized document from the drawer and started to explain the reasons for the separation.
When it came to writing about the distribution of the property, the team leader carefully asked Qi Hong about his opinion.
"That bastard said my old house is now under his name. Find out who handled the transfer. I'm an old man and I'm still alive. Did a ghost sign it?"
Qi Hong got angry when he talked about this. Beads of sweat appeared on the captain's forehead. "Haha, haha, Brother Qi, let me check for you."
The transfer information turned out to be unqualified. Because the falsification was too obvious, the team leader invalidated it without saying anything.
"Brother Qi, this transfer certificate is unqualified. I will cancel it for you right now, haha. Now you probably have these land and houses in your name. How do you want to divide them?"
The team leader directly stamped the transfer certificate with an obsolete big red seal and questioned Qi Hong again.
Qi Hong knew that he couldn't push Qi Chenggang and the others too hard, so he gave all the land to their family. As for the house in the old house, he didn't plan to give it to them.
"I probably won't need this house anymore. Can I exchange it for money and national coupons and return the right to use the house to the state?"
The captain was probably surprised that he had such a plan. "Uh, yes, sure, absolutely. Let me calculate it for you, Brother Qi."
Qi Xu saw that he was converting at an unusually fast speed, and guessed that her family's old house must have been favored by the captain a long time ago, otherwise he would not react like this now.
After the captain finished the conversion, he took out a stack of Great Unity banknotes and about 50 kilograms of national general banknotes from the green iron cabinet locked in the corner of the wall.
In addition to food coupons, oil coupons, and sugar coupons, there were also a scarce sewing plane ticket and a bicycle ticket.
"Brother Qi, here are 1,500 yuan in cash and 50 kilograms of national banknotes, sewing machine tickets, and bicycle tickets. Consider this a favor to you."
"You may not know, but my eldest son recently found a girlfriend, but her wife dislikes the small size of our yard and doesn't want to marry into our family. This just solves my urgent need."
"I'll be able to apply in a moment and go to the town to apply for the right to use the house near your old house."
While explaining, the team leader pushed all the notarized documents and banknotes on hand in front of Qi Hong.
"Brother Qi, the remaining money will be distributed by you. Just write down the distribution ratio here."
Qi Hong took the pen and wrote out the distribution ratio word by word.
Two minutes later, the red seal was stamped and the division of property notarization came into effect.
Qi Hong was holding the notarized document in his hand and was obviously relieved.
Generally, notarized documents are made in triplicate, one for Qi Hong, one for Qi Chenggang, and one for the brigade.
"Is it done? Grandpa?"
When the old and the young came out, Jiang Hongyi turned around from leaning against the tree trunk and asked with a comfortable expression.
"Well, it's done. Thank you for your help, Hongyi."
"Someone's dead! Someone's dead! Captain, someone's dead!"
A half-grown boy came running over in a panic, with fear in his eyes.
"What's wrong? What happened? Tell me slowly."
The captain grabbed the young man's arm and helped him up the moment he stepped on empty air.
"That Qi something, yes, Qi Baihua was struck by lightning and burned to charcoal. She's barely hanging on. Everyone asked me to call you over to take a look."
The young man was breathing heavily, his face showing fear. He spoke tremblingly before pointing in the direction of the scene.
The situation was serious, and Jiang Hongyi used a bullock cart to pull everyone to the scene quickly.
"Help! Help! My poor child, is there anyone who can help us? Baihua, open your eyes and look at your mother!"
Before everyone reached their destination, Li Jinyan's loud voice had already reached everyone's ears.
Qi Xu tilted his head and looked forward. Oh~ He is really a true charcoal~
