Chapter 15 Setting a Small Goal

Inside a black Mercedes, Qi Feng, holding his phone and dialing, grew increasingly frustrated. After failing to get through for what seemed like the umpteenth time, he angrily slammed his phone onto the passenger seat.

His jawline flared, indicating extreme anger, and he clenched his teeth tightly.

"What a fucking idiot!" He pounded the steering wheel and cursed in frustration.

With a "click," the car door was opened at that moment.

"Brother Xiaofeng, you're here so fast!" The newcomer looked like a college student, not much different from Qi Feng. He was the same boy who introduced Zhao Xuerou to him in the classroom that day.

"Hou Chengze! You're getting more and more outrageous! You're making me wait for you now, aren't you?"

"No, Brother Xiaofeng." A few beads of sweat still clung to Xiaohou's face. He had run all the way here without daring to delay for a moment, for fear of offending this young master.

The two met a few months ago. Xiao Hou could tell that Qi Feng was a rich young master who was generous and a prominent figure in Lan Jing.

He had a thought: he wanted to climb the social ladder by relying on this young master, hoping that his future path would be easier.

After months of serving him diligently, he became Qi Feng's friend. However, such spoiled young masters all have a problem: when he's happy, the relationship between the two is equal, but when he's unhappy, you become his tool for venting his anger.

Hou Chengze was often scolded mercilessly, but he didn't dare to utter a sound.

Unexpectedly, these two curses failed to extinguish Young Master Qi's anger. He reached out, grabbed his collar, and slapped him across the face!

"Smack!"

A very crisp sound.

He was completely stunned by the slap, his face going numb and then burning with pain. Normally, Hou Chengze could have tolerated a few words of abuse, but he didn't expect Qi Feng to actually hit him.

He clenched his fist, raised his head and glared at the other person, his eyes slightly bloodshot. But after a moment, reason took over his mind and washed away his anger. He lowered his head in humiliation.

Under the passenger seat, on the lit screen, several unreachable phone numbers were displayed in the call interface. Hou Chengze immediately understood that this was the reason for Qi Feng's anger; his late arrival had merely given the other party an excuse.

"Get in the car!"

Close the car door.

"It's all your fault for recommending that bitch to me. I spent two months chasing her, spending money and effort, and now she won't answer my calls or see me."

"Young Master Qi, when I asked you last time, you two seemed to be getting along quite well, almost on the verge of dating. Why has your relationship suddenly soured recently?" Xiao Hou asked cautiously.

"This whole thing is so frustrating. It's all that Jiang Cheng's fault. I was just one step away from succeeding, but then Zhao Xuerou's attitude suddenly changed. Didn't you say Jiang Cheng was her lapdog? But it doesn't seem like that at all. She's clearly interested in Jiang Cheng."

"He used to be a simp... He pursued her for several years, but Zhao Xuerou always ignored him."

"Who is Jiang Cheng? Is he very outstanding?"

"He was just a country bumpkin from a small county town, with mediocre grades and a family that was just so-so. He was good for nothing."

Qi Feng's eyes suddenly darkened. If Jiang Cheng were a rich young master or outstanding in some way, it would be one thing, but he couldn't even compete with a peasant. It was truly ironic.

"You and Jiang Cheng are in the same class, right?"

"Um······"

"Keep a close eye on this kid. I need to teach him a lesson. He dares to steal a woman from me, Qi Feng. He's got a death wish."

Hou Chengze got out of the car and respectfully closed the door.

With a roar, Qi Feng sped away.

After the person left, his smile vanished, replaced by a cold indifference. He touched his cheek and stared gloomily at the rear of the car.

······

In the biotechnology class, the bespectacled teacher slapped the table to wake up the drowsy students. She then slammed a pen down on the table.

Her gaze behind her glasses was sharp as she surveyed the entire classroom.

This woman is Jiang Cheng's class teacher. She usually looks gentle and refined, but when she loses her temper, she instantly turns into a furious tigress.

"Lack of ambition! Laziness and slackness! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You think you can completely relax once you get to university, right? Do you even know that university is where the real differences between people begin to emerge!"

The homeroom teacher kept banging on the table, his handsome brows furrowed tightly, and the students below were too scared to utter a sound.

"Everyone else is working hard, what are you doing? Sleeping? Playing games? Playing all night long? How can you treat yourselves like that?!"

"Truly motivated students should work hard secretly and then amaze everyone! Instead of just giving up and thinking that because they're bad enough, no one can criticize them!"

"I really can't stand watching you all like this. We'll skip the original lesson for now." The class teacher pushed up his glasses, revealing a sharp edge.

The students below held their breath, wondering what kind of trouble she was going to cause this time.

“Everyone should set a small goal for themselves and submit it. I will review them one by one, without requiring a signature. I want to see what you all really want to do.”

Everyone looked up at her with fear, but then breathed a sigh of relief when they heard that she didn't need to sign her name.

Then there's nothing to be afraid of.

Even if you write something random, you won't be criticized, and the class teacher won't know who wrote it.
