Chapter 21 Sun Yuchen with Malicious Intentions

Jiang Cheng, slumped over the table, was drowsy. He had stayed up too late yesterday and now he could barely keep his eyes open.

I'm so sleepy.

Jiang Cheng was still somewhat conscious and was about to fall asleep completely when a face suddenly appeared in front of him.

Even though they were only inches apart, he felt a ticklish sensation on the tip of his nose, as if a strand of hair had gently brushed against it.

Jiang Cheng suddenly opened his eyes and saw a pair of beautiful peach blossom eyes and perfectly shaped eyes, with a delicate face lightly made up.

He suddenly stepped back, his consciousness returning to normal, and only after a moment of confusion did he realize that the person in front of him was actually Zhao Xuerou.

"What are you doing? You scared me."

Jiang Cheng shuddered with lingering fear, and the last bit of drowsiness he had felt was gone.

"Judging from your appearance, you didn't sleep well last night." She raised an eyebrow meaningfully, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"Hmm... I stayed up all night writing my thesis last night."

"ah?"

Zhao Xuerou let out a surprised "Ah!" She was slightly disappointed, as if this was not the answer she wanted.

"What do you want from me?"

"Here's the thing, my homeroom teacher told me that the dean of students needs to see you. Go to the office on the sixth floor. Do you know where it is? Do you need me to take you there?"

"No need, I know the way." Jiang Cheng stretched, stood up, loosened his limbs, and left his seat.

He walked out of the science and technology building and headed towards the building where the director was located.

A knocking sound came at the door.

"Come in."

As soon as I pushed open the door, a refreshing coolness wafted through the room. The air conditioning and other equipment in this room were obviously much better than in the classroom. There was a cup of tea on the table.

The head of the teaching department was sitting in a chair.

She is in her thirties, a high-achieving student, very beautiful, and most importantly, very capable.

Jiang Cheng glanced at her. The director's name was Fu Shu. She was not young, but the years had not left many marks on her face. Only when she smiled could you see the crow's feet at the corners of her eyes.

Fu Shu has maintained a great figure and appearance. She has the charm of a mature woman while retaining the vitality of youth, and she also has the efficiency and competence of a director.

Almost everything in the school, big or small, was under her management, and surprisingly, there were very few mistakes. Everything was in perfect order, which shows that this woman was capable and was definitely not just a pretty face.

Hello, Jiangcheng.

"Hello, Director."

"Sit down."

"Thank you, Director."

“Not bad, Jiang Cheng,” the other person started talking as soon as he sat down. “You left a deep impression on me during that open class last time. You are knowledgeable and humble, know how to uphold the reputation of the school, and are neither servile nor arrogant in front of the professor. I admire you very much.”

"Director Fu, you flatter me. I was just doing what I was supposed to do."

"Hmm... The school is currently holding a week-long cultural event. The school leaders have asked us students to broaden our knowledge in addition to completing our daily courses, and ideally, to become proficient in certain specific fields like you. You could set a good example for everyone. Prepare a speech and give a presentation on stage, is that alright?"

Jiang Cheng remained calm, glancing at the tea leaves floating in his teacup. "No problem."

"Have you given a speech before?"

"No."

"This is your chance to get some experience. Don't be too nervous on stage; it's just a formality."

"Okay, I understand. Is there anything else, Director?"

"Let me think... By the way, have you ever thought about changing your major? I think you have a talent for languages, which you could focus on developing. You know that in our school, as long as you can be among the top students in your department, you can get the qualification to change majors."

"Change majors? I don't want to."

"Alright."

Director Fu turned to the computer screen, finished explaining the task, and said without further ado, "Write the draft and show it to your class advisor. Now you can leave."

She waved, and Jiang Cheng walked away.

The cultural week begins in three days, leaving him little time to prepare.

The thought of giving a speech to all the students of Lanjing Institute of Technology, nearly ten thousand people, is nerve-wracking.

You really need to have a strong mentality to succeed.

He wasn't too nervous. As soon as he got back to the classroom, he started writing his speech. He planned to just focus on his draft, read it at a normal pace, and follow proper etiquette—just like the headmaster had said, a mere formality.

As Jiang Cheng was writing, he suddenly felt the urge to urinate.

He threw down his pen and walked out of the classroom.

Behind the aisle, a pair of gloomy eyes stared intently at Jiang Cheng's back. After he passed by, they quietly went to his seat.

Those eyes belong to Justin Sun.

"Speech at the Weekly Culture Conference?"

Sun Yuchen silently read the title in his mind, his thoughts racing, and countless possibilities came to mind.

"Does this mean Jiang Cheng is going to give a speech?"

Looking at the half-page draft that was still unfinished, a plan suddenly came to mind.

He lowered his eyebrows slightly, took out his phone to take a picture of the manuscript, and then sneakily returned to his corner and sent it to Qi Feng.

"It seems there's a big event coming up soon, will Young Master Qi attend?"

After Sun Yuchen sent the message, he waited a few minutes and received a reply from the other party.

"Why would I bother participating in that stuff? And what's with this speech draft? Are you going to give a speech on stage?"
