Chapter 27 was detained.

In the alley, Jiang Cheng turned around with a miserable expression.

He remained vigilant as he passed the two men in suits, not letting his guard down at all.

Upon noticing the movement of the person behind him, he instantly understood what was about to happen.

Jiang Cheng glanced at the stick, then at the indifferent expression on the man in the suit.

"......"

He opened his mouth, "Don't hit too hard."

At this moment, Jiang Cheng felt desperate. Not only was he fighting two people, but they were also tall and burly. He was already 1.8 meters tall, and the other party must be close to 1.9 meters tall.

The moment he entered the alley, he felt an unusual sense of oppression.

But it's too late to regret it now.

Jiang Cheng realized that someone had been targeting him these past few days...

Damn it! Is it really that hard for me to just go back and finish the rest of my thesis?!

This was Jiang Cheng's last thought before he fell into a coma.

The next second, the club struck him on the back of the head!

He staggered twice and then fell to the ground with a thud.

······

Half an hour later.

A police car drove up and blocked the entrance to the alley.

Four men in uniforms stepped down from above, their faces indifferent, and walked into the alley.

I saw several people unconscious inside...

"Wake them all up, then take them away."

The leader shouted, his voice serious and cold.

Several uniformed men dragged them up from the dirty ground, scraping against the peeling paint on the wall... Jiang Cheng's head was covered in this stuff.

The roots of her hair were dyed a granny gray.

Pain...excruciating pain...

A tearing pain shot through the back of his head. While he was still not fully conscious, he felt as if a large truck had hit his head.

Jiang Cheng frowned, grimaced, and gasped.

As the uniform was being dragged along, he suddenly opened his eyes, looking at the face right in front of him as if waking from a dream.

"Do we still need to wear handcuffs?" the man asked the leader.

"No need, it's just a brawl between thugs, we can just take them back to the station."

The sound rang in Jiang Cheng's ears.

"Handcuffs? Fighting? Thugs?" He looked at the uniformed man with a blank expression, but these keywords did not quite match his memory.

How did they start fighting? It was clearly one of them who was knocked unconscious after taking a blow.

He stood up unsteadily, one hand supporting himself against the dirty wall, the other covering the back of his head.

"Thank you, uniformed uncle. I'm fine now. I have something urgent to do at home. Can I go to the station tomorrow?" Jiang Cheng asked urgently.

His first thought upon waking was still his thesis.

"Go home?" the man who pulled him up asked with a sneer. "Looks like you're not going home today. You'd better come with us obediently."

"Why??" Jiang Cheng looked puzzled and hurriedly walked up to ask the policeman.

"Young man, you're pretty tough... You took on two people and knocked them both unconscious." The leader said sarcastically.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Cheng turned around in astonishment and looked into the alley.

The scene before him was completely different from what he remembered!

The alleyway bore the marks of a chaotic fight, with steel bars lying haphazardly on the ground and scratches from the fierce battle visible everywhere.

Most of the wall plaster had been peeled off, and there were faint traces of blood on the ground that had not yet dried. Even the plastic bags in the sewage puddle had been dragged to the ground.

······

Two young thugs with dyed yellow hair were lying unconscious in the corner, their fate unknown.

Jiang Cheng felt a dull ache in his face.

Several bloody welts had appeared on my neck and face, I don't know when they appeared...

Everything was not as I remembered it.

The man in the suit was knocked unconscious without any struggle after being struck on the back of the head.

how so? ?

He stood there dumbfounded, letting the police take him and the two thugs into the car and speed off toward the police station.

The more you want to do something, the bigger and bigger you think about it, the more it feels like fate is working against you... It seems that everything since leaving school has been preventing Jiangcheng from going home.

It's clearly only a corner away from my home.

He sat by the back window and looked back, his gaze drifting further and further away from the place he longed for.

Until it is no longer visible in the distance.

Jiang Cheng's calm and composure vanished, replaced by a surge of anxiety.

······

“I’ve said it countless times, I didn’t fight with them at all! I was knocked unconscious after I walked into the alley and got hit on the back of the head with a stick! I don’t know anything else.”

In the empty interrogation room, Jiang Cheng explained again and again in frustration, but the policeman in front of him remained indifferent.

“You can say whatever you want, but those two thugs have a different story from yours. They clearly stated that you two got into a fight in the alley because of a verbal argument, and you fought them both single-handedly and were incredibly powerful.”

"..." Jiang Cheng pursed his lips, inwardly frustrated.

Do I, a frail student, look like I could fight two opponents without being at a disadvantage?

"Moreover, the people who called the police also said that a fight had broken out in the alley, and there were no surveillance cameras there."

Jiang Cheng felt a chill run down his spine upon hearing these words.

In other words, you're completely unable to defend yourself, right?
