Working day and night to meet the deadline.
As evening approached, Zhu Yibai, who was training and sweating profusely, suddenly received a call that his superiors wanted to see him. He put down what he was holding, got into an off-road vehicle, and drove all the way to the small snow-capped mountain on the right side of the Federation.
After getting off the bus, the surroundings were empty, with only a few people around.
The soldier led him up the snow-capped mountain cliffs, but stopped halfway up. It was then that Zhu Yibai realized that the so-called superior officer waiting for him was Jiang Cheng.
He looked at the thin figure in the overcoat and felt a little nervous, because the gap in their social standing was too great, they had never communicated much, and had even fewer opportunities to speak face to face.
What's more, there are only the two of them today.
After hesitating for a moment, Zhu Yibai walked over and whispered a command to Jiang Cheng.
"You're here?"
"Commander, what do you want from me...?"
"Nothing much, I just wanted to ask how you're feeling about personally piloting the mech and fighting the axe-wielding enemy tomorrow?"
"Um... I'm a little nervous and excited. I probably won't be able to sleep tonight." Zhu Yibai scratched his head, not hiding his true feelings.
“It’s inevitable to feel nervous, after all, Chief Axe looks quite intimidating. But you need to stay calm. You should feel the pressure, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Just do your best. Even if you’re sitting alone in the cockpit, you should think that there are countless comrades standing next to you. There’s me, there’s Tali, there’s your instructor. Our shoulders are together with yours, and our mission is the same and unique one.”
"I understand, and I will do my best."
“Well, we went into the Death Dimension together earlier, and you've learned a bit about the Axe,” Jiang Cheng pointed to the clearly visible snow-capped mountain in the distance. “It’s not an insurmountable peak, it’s even somewhat mediocre. Everything that happened in the twilight was witnessed by you, so… how about you unveil a new tomorrow with your own hands?”
Zhu Yibai pursed his lips and suddenly gave Jiang Cheng a sunny smile.
He scratched his head. "It would be great if I unveiled it."
"Then I look forward to the sunlight streaming in."
Jiang Cheng patted him on the shoulder, "Go ahead."
