Chapter 341 Don't Die!!

Next, before he could turn his gaze away, even more colossal statues appeared before him, unfolding like a magnificent scroll before him.

The ancient soldier, clad in armor and brandishing his blade, was bare-chested, but his lower body resembled that of a gleaming horse. His massive arms gripped the hilt of a sword bound with thick ropes, and his piercing, lifeless eyes, like those of a fish, were fixed intently on Jiang Cheng.

The next instant, a large tree, shimmering with green specks of light, suddenly moved closer. In its very center lay a part that could barely be described as human-shaped. Jiang Cheng stared intently and saw that what appeared to be a mouth bore an extremely grotesque smile. The intertwined roots resembled dead snakes tangled together, or a sticky, hot mass of flesh twisted into a ball. However, this "face" had no place for eyes; instead, the trunk was riddled with countless coral-like hollows.

Faced with all this, he felt no panic, only boundless...

Shocking.

Indeed, "shock" is the most appropriate word to describe Jiangcheng's current mood.

Looking around, all he saw was emptiness and desolation, with only a few colossal figures in the sky pressing down on him endlessly. In an instant, the vastness of the stars and the ancient desolation of life flooded into his mind, making it almost impossible for Jiang Cheng to think clearly.

"Don't kneel!!!"

After an unknown amount of time, Jiang Cheng's first words were a roar that echoed through the valley.

Echoes followed one after another, echoing in Jiangcheng's ears.

He didn't know if he was saying those words to himself or to someone else; ultimately, the feeling was so intensely frenzied that he couldn't control his body at all. He tried to stand up, but he couldn't move because of the long sword that stretched across his body.

Is it simply because he is a tiny human being...?

He could only kneel there, staring at the enormous statues suspended in mid-air…

His forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat, and his veins were bulging. Just as Jiang Cheng was about to lose consciousness, countless phantoms suddenly appeared around him!

The earth began to tremble violently, and a deafening sound of horses' hooves grew louder as it approached. Jiang Cheng looked up blankly and realized that the valley below had completely disappeared, replaced by a battlefield filled with smoke and dust and deafening shouts of battle.

Bright silver armor gleamed dazzlingly in the sunlight, jagged swords pointed straight to the sky, gleaming with a cold, chilling light as they surged forward with unstoppable force. The entire wilderness was filled with the piercing cries of clashing swords, and blood and flesh flew everywhere. A rain of arrows swept across the battlefield, piercing through silver-armored soldiers one by one, and blood mist rose into the air. Yet, the lingering spirits of the fallen heroes still roared and cheered in the gloomy sky.

Smoke filled the sky, corpses littered the ground, and blood flowed in a gruesome stream, cutting through the soil and finally settling at Jiangcheng's feet. Mountains of corpses and seas of blood, everywhere one looked were severed limbs and broken bodies, along with some grotesque, unyielding, and unseeing heads…

Ultimately, the war ended.

Beneath the gloomy sky, thick, dark clouds hung heavy over the mountaintop. Several carnivorous birds swooped down from mid-air, circled a few times, and landed on the blood-stained corpses. Many broken weapons lay on the ground, half-buried in the damp, inky soil and corroded bones, gleaming with a terrifying luster in the dim, sunless light.

The increasingly strong stench of blood filled Jiang Cheng's nostrils, and he began to cough uncontrollably and gag violently. The feeling was so unbearable that he had no time to think about what was happening.

what is going on……

At the same time, a voice suddenly came from behind him.

"Don't die!"

Sharp and high-pitched, it instantly pulled Jiang Cheng out of his muddled mind from the ancient battlefield, finally dragging him to the top of a tall tower.

"call……"

Before he could even steady himself, he was gradually surrounded by that voice.

Gradually, Jiang Cheng realized that it was not the sound of one person at all, but a mixture of countless cries, screams, and faint pleas, which finally landed on his eardrums.

The blow was so powerful that it abruptly pulled Jiang Cheng back to his senses.

He looked ahead and saw countless people kneeling on the muddy ground, but they were not the survivors of the battle, but rather...

Several young soldiers, their eyes still gleaming with a faint hope, gritted their teeth and stared at the distant mountain peak. As far as their eyes could see, there was dust and wasteland everywhere, and the corpses of many of their comrades lay on the ground.

The young soldier stood there in agony, his legs trembling uncontrollably, as if taking another step would send him crashing to his knees, yet he still yearned for victory.

He stretched out his hand towards his comrades, only to see that the skin and flesh on the back of his hand were torn open, blood and flesh flying everywhere, a gruesome and terrifying sight. For a moment, the young soldier was stunned by the shock, standing there dumbfounded, unable to utter a single word.

"Don't die!"

The woman, clutching her husband's bloodied head in anguish, screamed wildly to the sky. Her pale, weak hands tried to wipe the blood from his face, but to no avail. In fact, the more she wiped, the more blood gushed out, threatening to engulf them both.

The man's thin, pale face was contorted with immense pain, and salty, bright red blood kept gushing from the corner of his mouth, flowing down his bony chin and onto his clothes, eventually staining them crimson.

The stench of blood instantly filled the air, enveloping the two of them completely. Seeing his wife clinging tightly to him, the man's eyes held no relief, only increased panic, tinged with an undisguised despair and sorrow.
