Chapter 5 Who says I don't understand?

"My name is Ai Hongzhe. I don't need to introduce myself any further. You can find all my resume information on Baidu."

The professor's gaze swept across the room from behind his glasses, then he turned around and fiddled with his lecture topic and slides. "It is a great honor to be here at Lanjing Institute of Technology today. I hope that everyone can interact with me actively and in a friendly manner during my lecture."

Although he said that, the students below did not see any honor in Professor Ai Hongzhe at all. On the contrary, his expression was cold and his chin was slightly raised.

For some reason, it has a somewhat... arrogant feel to it.

He's a professor, and not just any ordinary professor, so it's normal for him to be a little arrogant.

The school leaders exchanged glances, showing no signs of dissatisfaction.

The students were also sitting upright.

Professor Ai Hongzhe introduced his views on education in fluent foreign language.

I introduced the current gap between China and other countries, and the areas that need improvement.

His words were sharp and concise, focusing entirely on the core points.

Unfortunately, the foreign language expressions, which are mixed with many nouns, make them somewhat obscure and difficult to understand.

The college students in the audience had difficulty keeping up with his pace, let alone understanding what he was saying.

Even the better students frowned deeply, listened intently for more than ten minutes, and then gradually gave up.

The students gradually relaxed from their upright posture.

There's nothing I can do, I can't understand it, it's just too profound.

The lecture hall gradually filled with whispers as everyone asked each other what the terms Professor Ai Hongzhe had just mentioned meant and what the unique aspects of his proposed in-depth development were.

"Quiet!"

Professor Ai slammed his hand on the table, turned around, and coldly surveyed the entire room.

The sudden loud bang startled the students in the front row, instantly silencing their chatter.

The school leaders didn't look too good.

For the next half hour, he gave countless examples to support his theory.

She also shared her experiences studying abroad in various places.

The papers he has published over the years have received widespread acclaim.

Professor Ai's impressive resume, which is rarely seen in ordinary times, left the students speechless with admiration.

······

"Now I want to present the educational theory of a great educator, philosopher, and thinker: Κ?σμο? ιδε?ν,Φαινομενικ?? κ?σμο?,Φιλοσοφ?α και αναποληση. Can anyone explain the meaning of these words?"

Silence reigned.

No one spoke.

The students of Lanjing Science and Technology College scratched their heads, unable to answer; clearly, the question was beyond their syllabus.

Jiang Cheng raised an eyebrow slightly. He could understand the meaning of these words, as the language he was studying happened to have content related to this topic.

"No one is answering?"

Professor Ai pushed up his glasses.

"It seems I overestimated the level of Lanjing Institute of Technology. I have lectured at many prestigious universities, and there are always a few students among them who have a wide range of knowledge and can accurately answer the questions I ask. Even some lesser-known private schools have students with excellent personal qualities who never gossip while others are lecturing, because they have a sense of awe for knowledge."

His words left everyone stunned.

His words were laced with wit and subtlety; even a fool could tell that Ai Hongzhe was subtly implying that Lanzhou University of Science and Technology's educational level was inadequate.

The students are having a tough time too.

The head of the teaching department, a beautiful woman in her thirties, covered her forehead upon hearing this.

Ai Hongzhe was invited because of her connections; the two were from the same alma mater, except that she was three years older than him.

She had always known that this junior was somewhat unruly, arrogant, and said whatever came to mind.

However, even with her tactful expression, she still felt extremely embarrassed in front of so many school leaders.

When Jiang Cheng heard the so-called professor say this, he lowered his head and stopped listening to his lecture.

This guy surnamed Ai certainly has real talent, but he's a bit too arrogant, as if he thinks anyone who can't understand what he's saying is low-IQ.

It clearly draws a line between ordinary people and elites, expressing that students of Lanjing University are not on the same level as themselves.

Then, Ai Hongzhe spoke again.

"I have always regarded one sentence as a truth in life, and I would like to share it with everyone here today."

He raised his hand and wrote on the board. A passage that no one could understand jumped up and caught everyone's eye.

As he wrote these words, Ai Hongzhe wore a mocking smile. He knew that even if he wrote them, no one would be able to understand them.

Sure enough, everyone in the lecture hall looked puzzled.

In a secluded corner, Jiang Cheng saw the contents of the blackboard and carefully pondered a few sentences.

His expression instantly turned cold.

"Excuse me! I need to use the restroom!"

Jiang Cheng suddenly stood up.

He couldn't listen to the lesson at all; he felt utterly disgusted.

His standing up drew everyone's attention to this corner, where they saw the unassuming Jiang Cheng.

Ai Hongzhe looked over.

Jiang Cheng was also staring at him.

The two looked at each other.

For a fleeting moment, a sense of confrontation arose.

"Didn't anyone tell you that you're not allowed to go to the toilet during open classes?"

"But, Professor, my stomach really hurts."
