Chapter 6 You really know how?

"I understand, what's wrong?"

"Since you understand, then come up here and explain to everyone what those terms I just mentioned mean."

Ai Hongzhe gave a disdainful laugh.

He despises people who pretend to know everything just to save face.

This student, who looks young and unremarkable, is willing to lie in order to protect himself.

A tense atmosphere immediately filled the air. No one spoke. The two teachers, holding onto the handrail of the stairs, glared at Jiang Cheng with annoyance.

"Oh no, the third brother has really overdone it this time," Tao Ming whispered.

"It's not scary to lose face, what's scary is losing face in front of so many people. Professor Ai doesn't look like a good person at all."

"Stop talking, just wait and comfort the third brother later."

Besides secretly worrying about Jiang Cheng's roommates, Zhao Xuerou, her best friend, and Qi Feng, who were sitting in the front row, were also paying attention to the situation on stage.

Ai Hongzhe handed over his pen, extending it towards Jiang Cheng, seemingly genuinely wanting him to come up on stage to answer, rather than joking.

"Disgraceful!" Qi Feng chuckled inwardly. He recognized this person; wasn't he the one who had argued with Xue Rou in the classroom a few days ago?

Is she considered his love rival?

Maybe so. What Qi Feng despises most is someone who is ordinary in every way yet arrogant. He doesn't know how to cherish the favor of a great beauty like Zhao Xuerou. He's really annoying.

Oh well, speaking of which, I should thank Jiang Cheng for this.

If he hadn't made Xue Rou heartbroken, he wouldn't have been able to take advantage of her vulnerability. Now, after two months of pursuing her, thanks to his superb flirting skills and strong abilities, she's starting to fall for him.

It probably won't be long before they officially become a couple, and then...

Qi Feng felt secretly pleased.

As the school beauty, Zhao Xuerou has very high standards and is not the kind of person who can be easily seduced. Qi Feng has put in a lot of effort these days; he has never pursued a girl so seriously before.

Everyone's thoughts are different now. If most people are just watching the show, then the school leaders have no schadenfreude at all.

They are now in a dilemma, unable to stop Professor Ai, yet unable to take Jiang Cheng out directly.

They were torn between their own students and the professors they had invited.

"Okay, I'll tell you then."

While the school leaders were still deliberating, Jiang Cheng thought for a few seconds, then took the pen from the other person and calmly walked up the steps to the stage.

Zhao Xuerou's eyes dimmed.

She was so disappointed.

Why bother showing off at this time? The aggressive Professor Ai seized the opportunity; what could you possibly answer if you went on stage?

Can you, Jiang Cheng, answer questions about things that even top students at Lanjing Science and Technology College have never heard of?

Professor Ai Hongzhe may be arrogant, but he has real talent and knowledge! She doesn't dislike people who are arrogant because of their talent; in fact, she finds them very charming.

Zhao Xuerou is a smart girl; she knows what talent represents!

Talent is more important than looks, wealth, or family background!

In this age of information overload, talented people will never be buried!

Jiang Cheng, you may have decent grades and some self-respect, but what good would it do to back down? Wouldn't it be much better to just admit you can't answer than to go on stage and give a speech like this?

The students were slightly disapproving at this point.

Because later, he will not only lose face for himself, but also for the entire college. What will others think of the students of Lan Ke University if this gets out?

A thousand students gathered in one room.

No one believed that Jiang Cheng truly understood the language; they only saw him as a stubborn young man striving to uphold his dignity, no matter what method he used.

Despite being classmates in the same college, everyone's hearts were not on Jiang Cheng's side; they were watching him like a monkey about to make a fool of himself.

However, right under everyone's watchful eyes.

The young man took a deep breath, his steps calm and composed, as if he had experienced countless such important occasions, without the slightest panic.

Ai Hongzhe curled the corner of his mouth.

I thought this kid would stumble and be incredibly embarrassed on stage, but it seems he has a good mental fortitude.

“Since Professor Ai asked me to speak, I will give a brief explanation,” he said.

"Speaking."

Jiang Cheng underlined those difficult words and spoke casually.

"What Professor Ai just talked about is the theory proposed by Plato, the famous philosopher and educator of ancient Greece. These terms are respectively called the world of ideas, the world of phenomena, the theory of ideas, and the theory of recollection."

"So, we've translated these words. What do they mean? They represent Plato's view of the world."

He believed that the world of ideas is a real and unchanging existence, while the real world that human senses perceive is merely a faint shadow of the world of ideas, which is composed of phenomena, and each phenomenon exhibits temporary changes due to factors such as time and space.

"In ancient Greek it would be: Ο πραγματικ?? κ?σμο? των ανθρ?πων ε?ναι η σκι? του κ?σμου των ιδε?ν."

A long string of characters came out of Jiang Cheng's mouth, and he even wrote it down carefully so that everyone could understand it.

"Professor Ai, am I right?"

"......"
