Bad posture

Bad posture

The weather was fine this morning, but suddenly picked up in the afternoon and the wind lashed out at people.

The high-speed rail station plaza was very open, but the wind was so strong that it made people shiver.

Xiang Zhixing messaged her saying he saw her, and she walked to the location he sent her, but no matter which way she walked, it didn't seem right.

xzx: [I'm coming over, don't move, just wait for me where you are.]

Movie: [No, it's too cold standing still...]

xzx: [I'm coming right away.]

He was unexpectedly informed today that an elder was coming. Although his relationship with Liang Jiayu was already somewhat distant, Liang Jiayu's mother had been kind to his mother, so he was willing to help. Besides, Liang Jiayu was very sensible and didn't trouble him too much.

But honestly, there's really no need for these distant relatives to have any contact.

The reason he came was because he looked at the map and saw that if he picked up the person from the high-speed rail station, it would be very close to the restaurant that Shen Muwei wanted to eat at, and he planned to get off the train halfway there.

Liang Jiayu felt quite embarrassed, but she didn't dare offend that elder, who insisted that Xiang Zhixing come as well. She had no choice but to ask Xiang Zhixing symbolically, and to her surprise, he actually agreed.

He and Liang Jiayu arrived at the high-speed rail station together and picked up these distant relatives. He should have greeted them along with Liang Jiayu.

He had hailed a taxi in advance and led the group out to catch their train. They chatted casually, looking travel-worn, with Liang Jiayu responding to their words. He wasn't good at interacting with elders, so he turned his head to the side and saw Shen Muwei and Song Yuanbai talking at the station entrance.

After seeing his relatives off, he ran towards Shen Muwei's location, and casually sent Liang Jiayu a text message: "I won't be coming for dinner tonight. Make your own arrangements."

Liang Jiayu was completely bewildered while sitting in the car. She was unfamiliar with the area and had never made any arrangements before...

But she could understand. To be frank, these aunts and uncles were only using the name of relatives to get close to Xiang Zhixing; they weren't really that close to him.

Sitting in the passenger seat, she glanced at the rearview mirror and saw her heavily pregnant uncle asking, "Where's Xiang Zhixing? How long until he's back?"

She was also in a bind. They were completely unrelated, but this uncle of hers was so domineering that he insisted on bringing Xiang Zhixing along, putting on an air of authority as an elder.

She hadn't expected Xiang Zhixing to agree to pick her up, but she also hadn't expected him to leave halfway through the pick-up...

She had no choice but to ask the beautiful senior student surnamed Su, whom she had just met yesterday, for a recommendation for a restaurant near the school.

Shen Mu listened to Xiang Zhixing's words and didn't move. He had thought Xiang Zhixing would take a while to arrive, but he arrived very quickly.

He ran over from a crowded corner of the front yard, the wind blowing the hem of his clothes, creating a bulge on his back that bounced in an arc.

She bit the inside of her mouth, and because she had figured out his purpose, a scrutinizing look would occasionally flash in her eyes as he ran over.

Since that's the case, she doesn't want to continue feeling guilty.

He came running over, slightly out of breath, and said, "Shall we go eat now? It's about time. You can go wherever you want to go."

Shen Muwei held her breath, trying her best not to let her dissatisfaction show. After a long while, she finally answered, "Mm."

Xiang Zhixing found her rather cute when she was sulking; she was clearly furious but pretended to be calm.

"Then I'll take a taxi."

He was in a dilemma. The car he had just taken to drop off his elders was the one he had hailed, and that order was still in progress, so he couldn't start another new order.

Shen Muwei was unaware of his situation. She pointed to the subway entrance and said, "No need. It's probably already quite congested to take a taxi. Let's take the subway. I checked, there are only five stops. It's just a short walk from where we got off."

“Okay.” Xiang Zhixing followed her.

I don't know whose mindset changed, but they were terribly silent the whole way.

Shen Muwei remained silent, secretly glancing at him as he played on his phone.

Who invited whom? Why were you looking at your phone the whole way? If you were really that busy, why did you invite me today?

Of course, she didn't say any of these things, but she grew increasingly displeased with Xiang Zhixing.

I hurriedly squeezed onto the subway; it was packed. Just then, a middle-aged man, trying to squeeze into the carriage, shoved Xiang Zhixing hard. He stumbled, but thankfully, with so many people jostling around, he didn't fall.

Shen Muwei saw this, grabbed his sleeve and pulled him over, one hand holding the armrest and the other supporting himself on one side, then looked around nonchalantly.

Xiang Zhixing was stunned; he had never expected Shen Muwei to do this.

In the crowded carriage, with the oxygen gradually decreasing and the air heating up, an unnatural blush slowly rose on his face.

He thought she probably hated him for the rest of her life, but he didn't expect that she had actually read the apology message he sent yesterday.

He looked down at Shen Muwei's long eyelashes and delicate skin, his heart pounding faster and faster. He didn't even notice how many stops had passed. His eyes seemed to be drawn to the girl in front of him, as if they were magnets.

The subway was about to arrive at the station, and there were so many people pushing and shoving that they were squeezing forward even as the subway was slowing down. Someone stepped back, right next to Shen Muwei, and leaned against the handrail. Shen Muwei's hand was immediately pressed down by the adjustment buckle of the shoulder strap that person was wearing diagonally across their body, and she immediately pulled her hand away in pain.

Just then, the subway stopped at the station, and she lost her balance and was about to fall to one side.

The boy in front of her reacted quickly, not caring about anything else, and put one arm around her, protecting her to his side.

This station is a major transfer station, and there is constant crowding all around. Even though you could get off by queuing, some people still insist on pushing their way through.

Shen Muwei was squeezed so tightly that she couldn't move, and could only instinctively grab onto whatever she could.

The first thing you smell is the clean scent of men's laundry detergent, not strong, but noticeable, a refreshing fragrance that lingers around your nose.

Shen Muwei found it hard to breathe, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her back. The rising heat made her face slowly heat up.

The crowd gradually dispersed, and the "beep beep beep" sound in the subway signaled that the doors were about to close.

The oxygen finally became plentiful. Shen Muwei took a deep breath and looked up, only to find that she had her hands folded and pressed against Xiang Zhixing's chest, tightly gripping his hoodie, which was already a mess from her gripping.

The gradually increasing sensation also included a warm feeling of the waist being tightened.

Oh, what a terrible posture.

What should we do?

Push him away? After all, she just protected him. Wouldn't it be too heartless for her to push him away after things have calmed down?

Should we remind him? It seems like reminding him is the only option...

Shen Muwei felt so embarrassed for the first time in her life. Wasn't she the one protecting him? How did things turn out this way?

She hadn't even raised her head yet, only slightly turning it as if to observe her surroundings.

The carriage had become much emptier, but there were still quite a few passengers standing, though there was enough space for him to let go of her and allow her to stand up straight.

Shen Muwei could even feel the intense gazes of others, who might be about to complain to their friends on their phones the next second: "Hey, I saw a young couple on the subway, they just kept hugging..."

She felt her face burning.

She slowly loosened her grip on the front of his hoodie, pursed her lips, and, like a thief, prepared to leave nonchalantly, pretending to be just passing by.

But Xiang Zhixing did not loosen his hand on her waist.

Shen Muwei nervously patted him gently, but there was no response.

She patted him a little harder, and Xiang Zhixing finally came to his senses. His ears turned bright red, and his cheeks flushed pink. He asked nervously, "What's wrong?"

Shen Muwei twitched the corner of her mouth: "You can let go... of me now..."

He hurriedly pulled his hand back and casually looked at the route map, while Shen Muwei slowly leaned to the side, awkwardly digging her toes into the ground while gripping the handrail.

They rode for another two stops. Shen Muwei processed her emotions quickly, but it was too late. She realized that the two of them had missed their stop.

After waiting at the station, I sat back down.

When he got off the subway, he found that it was drizzling outside. There were vendors selling umbrellas nearby, so Xiang Zhixing ran over and bought two plastic umbrellas.

Holding an umbrella, we quickly arrived at the place to eat.

Shen Muwei ultimately decided to take advantage of him and chose a nice Japanese restaurant.

This Japanese restaurant isn't actually expensive, but if you're looking to eat your fill, or rather, spend a bit more, then this is just the right amount to "rip off."

She didn't think about being polite at all, eating three foie gras nigiri sushi dishes, then ordering a sashimi platter and tempura without any hesitation. She ordered everything on the menu.

She didn't stop until her belly was completely round.

Having eaten and drunk her fill, she had completely forgotten what had happened on the subway.

But she forgot that there was someone who hadn't forgotten, and that person's face always had an unnatural blush.

As I paid the bill and left, the rain intensified.

The drizzle turned into large raindrops, which splashed into puddles on the ground and created huge bubbles.

"I'll call a car."

As Xiang Zhixing spoke, he opened his phone, swiped away all the unread messages, and went directly to the ride-hailing app.

It was relatively easy to hail a taxi along this stretch of road; the car arrived after about twenty minutes.

Shen Muwei was quite curious. Didn't he agree to have dinner together and apologize at the same time? Why didn't he say a word during dinner today?

The car remained silent until it reached the school gate.

The two got out of the car and walked slowly inside, each holding their own umbrella.

There were probably still some parents of the new students at the school who hadn't left. Even though it was raining, they were still holding umbrellas and taking photos and videos with their phones, muttering, "Look, family members, this is the prestigious university that Shuai Shuai got into. The campus is so beautiful..."

Just as there are those who are quiet, there are also those who love to make a lot of noise.

From a distance, I could hear parents talking loudly on campus. They clearly smelled of alcohol, and their speech was somewhat unclear.

Shen Muwei looked up and saw Xiang Zhixing frowning slightly, as if he was very annoyed by this kind of parent.

"Hey! Isn't this Liang Huizhi's son? It's you, right? What's his name again?"

Liang Jiayu stood by and whispered, "Uncle, this is a school. Please don't do this. If you keep doing this, the security guards will come and kick you out."

The portly man waved his hand dismissively: "Who! Who dares to kick me out! My niece got into such a good school, I'm her parent! What right do they have to kick me out!"

Liang Jiayu was flung aside by his large arm and almost lost her balance and fell to the ground.

Shen Muwei reached out quickly and grabbed her elbow to prevent her from falling.

He continued, "Liang Huizhi is rude, and her son is rude too. Today you left so many of us elders in the car, how dare you? I ask you, is this how Liang Huizhi raised you?"

Xiang Zhixing didn't seem to want to argue with this person any further, so he took Shen Muwei's hand and prepared to walk around him.

But the man clearly didn't want him to have his way, and slapped Xiang Zhixing's hand with one hand: "You came to school to study, not to date! Don't you know how to respect your elders? You have no respect for your elders! I'm talking to you!"

He was clearly drunk, acting like a spoiled old man, causing a scene, his eyes were bloodshot and he looked terrifying.

He became more and more agitated as he spoke, and the next second he was about to slap Xiang Zhixing.

Shen Muwei remembered that his previous injuries had not yet healed, so she stepped forward, grabbed the man's hand, and twisted it backward, causing him to scream in pain.

Most of these middle-aged people have brute strength, but they lack exercise and are physically weak.

Shen Muwei had been following Mu Qing since childhood, so she was physically fit and had been taught by a teacher how to use skillful force. In addition, she was naturally strong, so it wouldn't be a problem for her to bend the fingers of the seemingly strong but actually weak drunk man in front of her.

"Watch your mouth. This is a school. Drunk people aren't allowed here. There's a police station here. Do you want me to call the police now?"

She frowned and glared angrily as she spoke.
