Zhang Yuyao: "Yueyue has been watching Nian Xiaoxin the whole time."
Zhang Yu: "Ha, you just realized? I knew it a long time ago."
Zhang Yuyao: "I knew Yueyue would like this type!"
Zhang Yu: "What should we do? Should we help Lao Yue?"
Zhang Yuyao: "But...aren't students' tasks to study?"
Zhang Yu: "...Too lazy to argue."
This was the message Zhang Yu and Zhang Yuyao were conveying with their eyes; their eyelids were twitching so fast, it was like Morse code.
Even someone as oblivious to the world around them as Nianxin noticed it, let alone Bai Yueyue.
"Are you two crazy?" Bai Yueyue looked at the two of them speechlessly. Although they often bickered, it had to be said that their relationship was as good as that of siblings. For example, this code was something only the two of them knew.
"Haha, maybe it's because we don't get enough sleep." Hearing this, the two of them calmed down and said in unison.
"The teacher is here." It was Nianxin's words that finally brought an end to the group's antics.
Everyone then returned to their original positions. Zhang Yu had subconsciously wanted to sit next to Bai Yueyue, but when he saw Nianxin, he remembered that he had already been kicked out by Bai Yueyue, that womanizer who valued romance over friendship.
Immediately, Zhang Yu returned to his corner, his gaze, like that of a wronged woman who had been abandoned, sending chills down Bai Yueyue's spine.
"Don't mind them, they've been arguing like this all along," Bai Yueyue said to Nianxin.
“Mm,” Nianxin agreed softly, “That’s good.”
Bai Yueyue could also tell that the other party didn't want to talk to her, and even seemed to think that she was more annoying than Zhang Yu and the other person.
Bai Yueyue also stopped trying to strike up a conversation and started listening attentively in class. Although Bai Yueyue often didn't do her homework, she could still maintain an above-average grade in the class, and getting into an ordinary university in the end wouldn't be a problem.
"If there's anything you can't keep up with, you can ask me." Bai Yueyue thought that Nianxin's previous living environment wasn't very good, and since she had just transferred here, she might not be able to adapt very well, so Bai Yueyue could help her out more.
But clearly, this worry was unnecessary. Upon hearing this, Nianxin simply gave Bai Yueyue a surprised look.
“When I first arrived, the homeroom teacher told me to mentor you all. I also looked at our class’s grades, and they were all lower than mine. The homeroom teacher also said that if I brought my grades from my previous school, I could raise the average score of every subject in the class by 2.5 points.” This was the first time Bai Yueyue had heard Nianxin say so much as a boy.
The reason is simple: Nianxin doesn't want others to look down on her.
Nianxin lived up to her homeroom teacher's words, and with her naturally studious face, the situation in the class was such that the teacher had an answer as soon as she asked the question. Although Nianxin didn't like to speak, she couldn't resist the teachers' enthusiasm. Whenever no one in the class could answer, they would call on Nianxin to come up and write down her standard answer.
At first, the teacher would glance at the instructions to check for errors, but later the teacher stopped checking and simply explained the steps of the instructions.
You ask, "What if Nianxin's answer differs from the reference answer?" Don't ask. The answer is simply wrong. This is a lesson learned by students who came to Nianxin with questions during break time.
Soon, Nianxin became the teacher's favorite, and even the head of the grade knew her, though of course, Nianxin didn't know them.
"What happened? What did the teacher say?" On the other side, Bai Yueyue had just returned from the office when Zhang Yu came up to ask.
"Whatever the teacher said, he just told me to learn more from Nianxin, stop copying homework, and ask Nianxin directly if I don't understand something. Anyway, I've heard that many times." The teachers also paid close attention to Bai Yueyue. The reason was simple: Bai Yueyue was capable of writing an essay titled "My Richest Dad".
"I see. Indeed, Nianxin is amazing, she's practically a walking quiz machine." Zhang Yu said, already entering the bathroom with Bai Yueyue. "Hey, Yueyue, tell Dad the truth, do you like Nianxin?"
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! How could I possibly like such a cold person?" Bai Yueyue reacted so strongly that she even forgot that Zhang Yu was taking advantage of her.
"Come on, do you think I don't know your fetishes? You'd definitely like someone with long, straight black hair, glasses, and intelligence. Besides, you're always peeking at her in class, ugh, you're such a jerk." Zhang Yu's expression, as if he knew his son better than anyone else, made Bai Yueyue harden her body and raise her fists.
"Even if I, Bai Yueyue, starve to death or jump off this cliff, I will never like Nianxin! I like energetic girls!" Bai Yueyue's excited appearance proved that Zhang Yu was right.
"A vibrant young woman? Like Zhang Yuyao?" Zhang Yu chuckled.
"Get lost!" Bai Yueyue didn't want to say another word to Zhang Yu; it would give her a heart attack.
When Bai Yueyue returned to the classroom, she saw that Nianxin was still in her seat, but there were quite a few people around her, all of whom came to ask Nianxin questions.
This is normal, after all, the method of mindfulness is very simple, and even easier to understand than the teacher himself. In Zhang Yuyao's opinion, it's like having a divine body from a pre-existing teacher.
Looking at Nianxin's expression, Bai Yueyue found herself feeling somewhat refreshed.
"Hey, son, your face is red." As luck would have it, Zhang Yu had already caught up.
"Get out of here, I'm feeling refreshed." Just then, the bell rang for Bai Yueyue's last class, and she was finally able to return to her seat.
"You must be tired with so many people asking you questions?" Bai Yueyue asked.
"No, the homeroom teacher originally asked me to help everyone improve their grades." Nianxin said, and then started doing practice problems again, without even glancing at Bai Yueyue.
