Chapter 16 Qin Yusa's Necklace

After shaking off Qin Ye, the group didn't walk far before arriving at Qin Zhenming's room.

Qin Zijing knocked on the door and said, "Grandpa, Bai Yueyue is here."

If you don't want to call me sister, you don't have to. Hearing Qin Zijing's tone, which was even more affected than when her own brother called her sister, Bai Yueyue felt a chill.

The man who opened the door for them was the same male servant named Xiao Wu from before.

"Yueyue can come in by herself." Qin Zhenming's voice came as the door opened.

"Yes, then please take good care of Grandpa, Bai Yueyue. I'll take my leave now."

"Okay, good afternoon, Brother Qin Zijin."

Good afternoon, Bai Yueyue.

Qin Zijing didn't seem to want to say another word to Bai Yueyue. After bowing to the door, she left.

"Then please, Miss Bai." Xiao Wu respectfully gestured for Bai Yueyue to come in.

Huh, why are you calling me Second Miss again? So am I the Eldest Miss or the Second Miss?

Since Qin Zhenming was waiting for Bai Yueyue inside, Bai Yueyue couldn't very well ask Xiao Wu about it outside right now.

"Okay." Bai Yueyue said, maintaining a dignified posture and walking into the room with impeccable elegance.

Hu Meier wanted to follow them in, but Xiao Wu stopped her.

"Old Master Qin said that only the Second Miss is allowed to go in. Please have the Second Miss's personal attendant wait outside with me."

“But…” Hu Meier looked at Bai Yueyue. As Bai Yueyue’s personal attendant, she could not leave Bai Yueyue’s side at will.

"Mei'er, I also want to spend some time alone with Grandpa. Please tell Mother that I will be home before dinner."

That's good. Now that I've said it myself, Mei'er has a reason to leave me. Grandpa Qin probably won't force me to stay for dinner, right? If I have dinner with those two guys, even if it's fish, I'll definitely find it tasteless.

"Yes, Miss." After Hu Meier bowed to Bai Yueyue, Xiao Wu closed the door.

The room wasn't very big, but it was filled with books. In the middle was a table and chairs, and in front of the table and chairs was Qin Zhenming lying on a recliner with a tea set.

"Good afternoon, Grandpa." Bai Yueyue looked at Qin Zhenming, who seemed to be asleep in the recliner, and bowed to him. She could hardly believe that just a few minutes ago his voice was full of energy, but...

After briefly examining Qin Zhenming's body with magic, Bai Yueyue realized that Qin Zhenming's body had aged considerably compared to before.

She couldn't express any emotions. Although the posture of lifting her skirt to curtsy was tiring, especially since Bai Yueyue was holding the gift she had received from Hu Meier, she had to maintain this posture as long as Qin Zhenming didn't tell her to get up.

No, Grandpa Qin, don't mess with me! You're really asleep? Bai Yueyue was very relieved. Her mother was too scary. She actually made her maintain a proper posture for an hour. Bai Yueyue didn't believe that Qin Zhenming could sleep for an hour!

After maintaining the posture for ten minutes, Qin Zhenming slowly woke up. Looking at Bai Yueyue standing in front of him with a particularly standard etiquette posture, Qin Zhenming nodded gently.

"Get up, Yueyue."

"Thank you, Grandpa."

The old man was definitely doing it on purpose! Bai Yueyue was certain that Qin Zhenming wasn't asleep at all, but was deliberately making her keep the bowing posture.

"Grandpa, this is tea I brought especially for you. I hope you like it." Bai Yueyue had learned the importance of hiding one's preferences.

She thought for a long time before she remembered that when her parents gave Qin Limin tea, they mentioned that he and Qin Zhenming both liked tea, which meant that giving tea was definitely the right thing to do.

"Yueyue is so thoughtful," Qin Zhenming's eyes lit up, and then he looked at the empty teapot, next to which were tea leaves and hot water. "Oh dear, how could Xiao Wu forget to make tea for us?"

Grandpa Qin, Xiao Wu will be heartbroken if he hears this, because you must have deliberately made him leave it to me to finish, right?

"Grandpa, my mother taught me a little about tea ceremony. Although I am not very good at it and am far inferior to my mother, if you don't mind, please allow Yueyue to serve you tea."

"I grant your permission."

"yes."

A little? My skills aren't good enough? Who knows what I've gone through from recognizing tea to tasting it? I can tell the picking time and the most standard way to use these teas just by their aroma. But aren't all my exams scheduled for Mondays? Grandpa Qin, please don't give me any more tasks.

"Hmm, Yueyue's cooking skills are much better than Xiao Wu's." Qin Zhenming gave this evaluation simply by smelling the aroma of the tea.

"Hehe, Grandpa, you flatter me. Mother is much better than me." As an elegant noble lady, she could only admit that her skills were inferior to those of higher status. However, "Besides, since Xiao Wu is always by Grandpa's side, I think his tea skills must be quite good. He can always prepare tea when Grandpa needs it."

"You silly girl, are you complaining that I made things difficult for you?" Qin Zhenming said with a smile, taking a sip of tea.

"Granddaughter wouldn't dare, but she thinks it's too much if Xiao Wu can't even prepare tea for Grandpa."

"If you don't dare, then you are pregnant, you silly girl." Qin Zhenming wasn't angry, because Bai Yueyue was too cute. Her current girlish demeanor was the easiest thing for an old man like him who was about to die to spoil.

After putting down his teacup, Qin Zhenming rummaged around on his person and carefully pulled out a wooden box. He then beckoned to Bai Yueyue and said, "Come here, Yueyue."

"Yes, sir." She took small steps forward, squatted down in front of Qin Zhenming, and looked at him with some doubt in her red eyes.
