Under the simple light, Lin Zhaodi's hair quickly grew to shoulder length.
"Do you like it?" Bai Yueyue asked Lin Zhaodi.
"Thank you, Miss, I like it very much." Looking at herself in the mirror, Lin Zhaodi felt like she was dreaming.
"Then please, Mei'er, do Lin Zhaodi's hair here too," Bai Yueyue said, pointing to her dressing table. Although Bai Yueyue wanted to do it herself, she knew the two of them would never accept it.

Hu Meier and Lin Zhaodi, along with the personal servants of the other two, stood quietly behind the three.

"Bai Yueyue, you just need to sit there quietly and listen to our discussion," Qin Zijing said after taking a sip of tea.
Li Jieyue nodded slightly in agreement.

The three were quickly brought in.
When Lin Zhaodi saw her parents, she trembled uncontrollably. Bai Yueyue immediately cast a spell to calm her down.

Lin's parents didn't realize anything, but the people from that village were terrified and turned pale.
"How stupid of me to make time for these people?" Qin Zijing gave Bai Yueyue a reproachful look, while Bai Yueyue pretended not to see anything.
"My lord, spare our lives!" Before Qin Zijing could even speak, the villagers had already knelt down properly.
"Looks like someone does know what trouble you've caused. Tell me your name?" Qin Zijing said, looking at the person with interest.
"Sir, my name is Pan Sheng. I used to be a minor official in a mid-sized city, but some things happened and I ended up in that village. This time, I'm here on behalf of the village chief because he won't let me leave. Sir, it's all the village chief's fault, it has nothing to do with me!"
"Sir, that brat is my daughter. She's being unreasonable and has troubled you three. Please allow us to take her back." Lin's father clearly couldn't see Pan Sheng's fear and still thought he could get away with it.
"You..." Bai Yueyue was about to say that Lin Zhaodi was now her personal attendant when Li Jieyue glared at her and stopped her.

When they heard Bai Yueyue call Qin Zijin "brother," Pan Sheng and Lin's parents felt like the sky had fallen, but Pan Sheng understood the horror of it all better than they did.
