"So you're not going to take the elevator with me?" After a brief moment of shock at why there was an elevator in the manor, Bai Yueyue looked at Hu Meier standing at the door.
“Miss, the elevator is reserved for the master. I can only wait for you at the door,” Hu Meier replied matter-of-factly.
Although I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the elevator together, I'll listen to Hu Meier to avoid being criticized by Zhao Shuli again.
"Then I'll wait for you upstairs," Bai Yueyue said.
Through Hu Meier's brief introduction, Bai Yueyue gained a better understanding of her new home. The castle in the manor had five floors. The first floor was a public hall, where most people spent their time. The second floor consisted of the men's rooms; her two older brothers would probably stay there when they returned.
The third floor is the women's room, which is off-limits to men. The thought of being alone on the third floor made Bai Yueyue feel lonely. The fourth floor, the top floor, is the room of the head of the family, Bai Zhenhao, and Li Jieyue.
The fifth floor is underground and is generally used for coal burning, electricity and water supply, and as a kitchen.
Apart from the personal attendants, the other attendants would live in another house. Of course, the guests would also live in other guest-only houses, while each master would leave two personal attendants in the main house.
The female attendants were on the third floor with Bai Yueyue, while the male attendants were on the second floor to deal with emergencies.
Hu Meier had already pressed the elevator button for her floor, so all I had to do was wait at the elevator door for her to come up and take me to my room, right?

The door was opened by Hu Meier. Although Bai Yueyue felt she could open it herself, Hu Meier used Zhao Shuli's words—that the young lady should never be made to do anything strenuous—as an excuse to refuse Bai Yueyue's idea of opening the door herself.
