Chapter 9 The Frail Bai Yueyue

When the two returned, Zhang Yuyao and Zhang Yu had also finished arguing. They each grabbed a cup of milk tea and drank it in silence. Or rather, Zhang Yuyao drank it happily in silence, while Zhang Yu drank it unhappily in silence.

"What's wrong with you two?" Nianxin asked, puzzled when she saw the two of them looking like this.

As for Bai Yueyue, she was used to it; she had seen this situation countless times. So, it seems Zhang Yuyao has won.

"Nianxin, you actually ran away behind our backs! Waaaaah, I want to hold hands with the Silver-Haired Witch too!" Zhang Yuyao's resentful voice came as soon as Nianxin finished speaking.

At first, Nianxin was confused as to why she was accused of sneaking away behind their backs, but after hearing Zhang Yuyao's words, she realized that she was still holding hands with the silver-haired witch.

Immediately, Nianxin released Bai Yueyue's hand, while Bai Yueyue clearly did not want to respond to Zhang Yuyao's words.

"I have something to do next, I'll be going now." Zhang Yu replied as soon as Bai Yueyue finished speaking.

"Silver-haired Witch, are you going to resolve a new crisis?"

A new crisis? Bai Yueyue really wanted to ask Zhang Yu what he was thinking. She was just an ordinary magical girl, how could she be involved in solving a crisis? And where were all these crises?

“Yes, so I’m not staying.” Bai Yueyue said, and disappeared the moment she took her first step.

"Nianxin, what did you and the Silver-Haired Witch do?" Zhang Yuyao approached Nianxin as soon as Bai Yueyue left.

"It's nothing, she just took me for a walk." Yes, even if it's just walking around the planet, it's still just walking. "Also, my name is Nianxin, not Nianxiaoxin."

"Okay, Nianxin." Zhang Yuyao said, handing a cup of milk tea to Nianxin. "What a pity, I also bought one for the Silver-Haired Witch, but I didn't have time to give it to her. Ah! I'm so envious of you. I also want the Silver-Haired Witch to hold my hand and take me around!"

"Hilarious! The Silver-Haired Witch wouldn't want your milk tea. If she wanted it, she'd take mine!" Zhang Yu took out two cups of milk tea, one for Nianxin and the other for Bai Yueyue.

"Zhang Yu, what are you barking about? If it weren't for you, the Silver-Haired Witch would have held my hand too!"

"Ha, Zhang Yuyao, you clown, is this your challenge to stop laughing?"

"Zhang Yu! Today I'm going to show you why the flowers are so red!" With that, Zhang Yuyao started rolling up her sleeves again.

“Come on, who’s afraid of who? I’m the emperor!” Zhang Yu retorted, taking a big gulp of his milk tea before standing up.

As for Nianxin, she frowned, noticing the strange looks from those around her, and silently retreated to the back of the crowd. She truly had no other choice; these two people were too terrifying.

"Big brother, can you help me investigate someone?" Bai Yueyue, who had disappeared, reappeared skillfully in a dark alley and sent a message to her older brother, Bai Shenxing, on her phone.

As for why she didn't contact Li Meng, it's simple: the matter of that bat-man hasn't been resolved yet, and she doesn't want to be questioned by Li Meng.

"Do you think I'm that free?" Bai Yueyue had barely sent the message when Bai Shenxing's message arrived on the other end of the phone.

Ha, a reply in a second. Bai Yueyue knew that the matter was settled when she saw Bai Shenxing's quick reply.

"Cough cough cough," he cleared his throat and sent a voice message in a voice that made Xiaoya feel disgusted, "Please, big brother, okay?" He added a crying kitten emoji.

Ten seconds later, Bai Shenxing replied with her name.

Ha, man, you're hopeless, you know that? Bai Yueyue knows her two brothers too well; they're completely powerless against her in her female form. As for why it was ten seconds, it seems Bai Shenxing must have heard her sentence three times.

"Her name is Nianxin, and she's a new transfer student in our class." Bai Yueyue quickly sent out the message.

"Okay," Bai Shenxing replied instantly again, "Get some rest."

"Yes." Bai Yueyue originally intended to just brush it off, but then she saw the transfer of three thousand yuan and Bai Shenxing's next words, "Take this and buy some good food."

Seeing the tempting allure of capital, Bai Yueyue changed her attitude and said sweetly again, "Okay, thank you, big brother. You're the best!"

After sending the message, Bai Yueyue added an emoji, something like "(?????)?".

He then quickly accepted the transfer.

She turned off her phone and sighed heavily.

"What's wrong, Yueyue?" Xiaoya asked, puzzled. Nothing much had happened tonight; she should be having a good time.

“I’m hungry,” Bai Yueyue sighed again. “Didn’t I say I was going to buy some food? Why didn’t I buy anything?”

Bai Yueyue's words only made things worse, as Xiao Ya's soul form was also hungry. Although soul forms don't need to eat, Xiao Ya was craving food.

The two looked at each other in bewilderment. A second later, Bai Yueyue appeared on a snack street far away from Nianxin and the others. After all, they had just parted ways, and it would be too interesting to meet again.

By the time Bai Yueyue got home, it was already eleven o'clock.

"Yueyue, you're finished." Xiaoya said, glancing at the dozen or so missed calls on Bai Yueyue's phone.

At first, Xiaoya was curious why Bai's mother hadn't called. But upon closer inspection, she realized that earlier, Zhang Yu and Zhang Yuyao had sent Bai Yueyue over 99 messages after seeing the silver-haired witch they had been longing for. Bai Yueyue found it troublesome and silenced her phone.

The front door was wide open, and a beautiful woman was sitting on the sofa inside. Even from more than ten meters away, Bai Yueyue could feel her mother's anger.
