Chapter 10 He Wei is definitely sick
Chu Rou's expression froze. She stiffly turned her head to look at Mo Chi. "What else did you...see?"
Shen Luo looked at the two of them, puzzled.
Mo Chi and Chu Rou looked at each other, Mo Chi tapping the table with his index finger. "I also saw you falling asleep hugging the toilet."
"And...and then?" Chu Rou's voice began to tremble.
"And then?" Mo Chi closed his eyes, trying to recall. He slowly opened them again. "Then I went back to my room to sleep. Did you expect me to pick you up when you were all dirty?"
Chu Rou's body instantly relaxed, and she slapped Mo Chi on the back. "You brat, you have no conscience, didn't you know to wake me up?"
Mo Chi's eye twitched. This old woman was really ruthless. "I didn't wake her up."
Shen Luo glanced at Chu Rou, "Sister, when did you wake up?"
Chu Rou lowered her eyes. "I didn't check the time. I went back to my room to sleep after I woke up."
Realizing she had no clothes to wear, Chu Rou looked up and asked, "Xiao Luo, are you busy today? Come back to my old house with me and help me get my clothes back, okay?"
“Okay, I’m fine,” Shen Luo readily agreed.
Chu Rou looked at Mo Chi and said with a smile, "Mo Baobao, why don't you come with me? If we run into a scumbag, you can help me fend him off."
"Are you going to pay me to do the same?" Mo Chi asked, looking up at him.
Chu Rou put her arm around Mo Chi's shoulder. "Oh dear, talking about money between us is so hurtful. How about I cook you a nice meal tonight?"
Once the money is in Chu Rou's pocket, it's impossible for her to take it back.
Mo Chi remained silent, which was taken as tacit agreement.
The three people and two cars arrived at the building where Chu Rou used to live.
Chu Rou saw He Wei's car and her heart sank. She was really unlucky; she never expected He Wei to be there.
Chu Rou led Shen Luo and Mo Chi upstairs, carrying two empty suitcases and several large bags. Chu Rou planned to take everything at once.
When she opened the door, she found that the room was exactly the same as when she left, with no changes. He Wei's shoes were placed neatly by the door.
Chu Rou walked into the living room and didn't see He Wei. She felt relieved, thinking that He Wei might have just parked the car there and wasn't there.
"Xiao Luo, Mo Baobao, sit on the sofa for a while. I'll go inside and pack my things."
He tacitly accepted Chu Rou's address to Mo Chi, finding it quite agreeable.
Chu Rou pushed open the bedroom door and went in, only to be startled.
He Wei was lying on her bed, hugging her pillow, seemingly asleep.
Hearing the sound, He Wei opened his eyes and, upon seeing Chu Rou, showed a look of surprise. He sat up and said, "Rou Rou, you're back. Have you forgiven me?"
He Wei looked unusually haggard, but Chu Rou chose to ignore it. She said in a cold voice, "I'm here to take my things."
After saying that, Chu Rou opened the wardrobe and began to pack her clothes.
He Wei hugged Chu Rou from behind, holding her tightly and burying his head in her shoulder. "Rou Rou, please don't leave me. You're all I have left."
Chu Rou's heart ached terribly. They say time heals all wounds, but these past few days since her breakup, she's been feeling worse every day.
She was furious when she learned the truth on the first day.
She was still resentful the next day.
On the third day, her heart ached, and all she wanted to do was numb herself with alcohol.
Hearing He Wei's words today, she really wanted to turn around and throw herself into his arms again. Five years of feelings can't just disappear like that.
He Wei represented five years of her youth, five years of affection and companionship. She had devoted five years of her emotions and energy to him, but all of that was reduced to ashes overnight.
Chu Rou closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Why? He Wei, why are you doing this to me?"
“Rou Rou, I didn’t want to either,” He Wei said, his voice choked with emotion. “I couldn’t control myself.”
Chu Rou smiled wryly, "He Wei, you used 'I couldn't control myself' as an excuse, and you really did admit your mistake sincerely."
Bitter tears dripped from Chu Rou's eyes. She wiped them away with the back of her hand. "He Wei, I can give up my hobbies for you, I can give up my career for you, I can give up my social life for you, but I can't give up my principles for you."
“I only accept pure love, love without any blemish, so it’s impossible between us. I’m setting you free. You don’t have to control yourself anymore. Go find whoever you want and do whatever you want.”
"Please let me go, I still need to continue searching for my love."
"No!" He Wei suddenly shouted, tightening his grip on Chu Rou even more. "I can't let you leave. You're mine, and you're not allowed to go anywhere!"
Chu Rou was being strangled and had difficulty breathing. She couldn't muster any strength and was unable to break free from He Wei.
Shen Luo and Mo Chi heard the noise and ran in.
"He Wei, let go of my sister!" Shen Luo went over to separate He Wei and Chu Rou.
He Wei's face darkened when he saw Mo Chi behind Shen Luo, and he became even more agitated. "Rou Rou, why did you bring this pretty boy here?"
Chu Rou's face turned bright red. She couldn't understand why He Wei had lost control of his emotions. "He Wei, let go of me! He's my boyfriend. Is there anything wrong with bringing him here?"
Mo Chi went over with Shen Luo and pulled He Wei's arm away. Mo Chi pushed He Wei away forcefully and shielded Chu Rou behind him.
Shen Luo helped Chu Rou up, "Sister, are you alright?"
Chu Rou shook her head and breathed heavily.
Mo Chi's eyes flashed coldly as he said to He Wei, "Please stay away from my girlfriend from now on. I don't want to see you bothering her anymore, or don't blame me for being impolite."
He Wei glared, his chest filled with rage. He grabbed Mo Chi by the collar and swung his fist toward Mo Chi's face.
"Mo Chi!" Chu Rou called out anxiously.
Mo Chi easily dodged He Wei's fist, grabbed his wrist, and shoved He Wei aside.
Seeing this, Chu Rou breathed a sigh of relief and asked in surprise, "Mo Baobao, have you practiced this before?"
Mo Chi gave a faint "hmm," and said, "I've practiced for a few years."
Hearing Chu Rou address Mo Chi, He Wei's expression became even more ferocious. He suddenly started smashing things like crazy, destroying everything he could in the bedroom.
He smashed things while roaring, "Chu Rou, why did you do this to me? I love you so much, why did you leave me?"
Chu Rou and the other two watched in shock as He Wei went berserk.
"He Wei, are you crazy?" Chu Rou couldn't help but ask.
"I'm crazy. You drove me crazy. Why did you leave me?"
Under the cover of Shen Luo and Mo Chi, Chu Rou packed her belongings into two suitcases and several large bags.
The three of them left under the watchful gaze of Hevina's bloodshot eyes.
Once downstairs, Shen Luo patted her chest and said, "Sis, thank goodness you broke up with He Wei. Is he not in good mental health? His eyes were so scary just now."
Mo Chi narrowed his eyes and said, "He's definitely sick!"
