Chapter 101 Troublesome Qi Lin
Chu Rou looked like she'd seen a ghost; the person occupying her seat was none other than Qi Lin.
Today, Qi Lin wasn't wearing makeup, and her clothes were normal, giving her a well-behaved girl image. She smiled as she looked at Chu Rou.
Chu Rou's eyes widened. "Qi Lin, what are you doing here?"
Qi Lin asked Chu Rou to sit next to her, "Sister Chu Rou, please sit next to me. This is my seat."
Chu Rou was pulled down to sit, still not quite recovered from her shock. "Qi Lin, don't tell me you snuck out."
“I didn’t sneak out. My brother knew. He even brought me to the airport,” Qi Lin explained.
Chu Rou was skeptical. "Then why didn't I see you in the departure lounge?"
Qi Lin blinked and teased, "You and Mo Chi were hugging and cuddling over there, so I didn't have the heart to go over and disturb you."
Chu Rou narrowed her eyes. What do you mean by being afraid of disturbing them? This Qi Lin was clearly afraid of being discovered, so she secretly boarded the plane first.
"Is someone going to pick you up in City C? Is everything arranged?"
Qi Lin shook her head, "I'll just stay with you. Sister Chu Rou, don't you have anywhere to stay?"
"Follow me?" Chu Rou looked bewildered.
Qi Lin leaned on Chu Rou's shoulder. "Yes, you're the only person I know in City C. If you don't take me in, I'll have to sleep on the streets."
Chu Rou sighed, realizing she had brought trouble home.
In the airport terminal, Mo Chi waited until Chu Rou's plane took off before turning to leave.
He paused, then saw Qi Hang behind him. Mo Chi raised an eyebrow and walked over. "Brother Qi, what are you doing here?"
"I've come to see Qi Lin off."
"Oh! Hmm?" Mo Chi quickly realized, "Where did Qi Lin go? Could she be in City C?"
Qi Hang remained silent, which was taken as tacit agreement.
Mo Chi opened and closed his mouth repeatedly, but couldn't utter a word for a long time. His Adam's apple bobbed, "Qi Lin is going to go with Rou Rou?"
Qi Hang blinked, which was his way of answering.
Mo Chi wanted to roll his eyes, feeling complicated. He and Qi Hang both knew how troublesome Qi Lin was. Wouldn't his Rou Rou be driven crazy by her annoyance?
However, with Qi Lin accompanying Chu Rou, her safety can be guaranteed; Qi Hang certainly wouldn't let Qi Lin go so far alone.
He finally sighed, "I hope Rou Rou can smooth things over with Qi Lin."
...
Not long after the plane took off, Chu Rou closed her eyes and fell asleep. Qi Lin turned her head to look at Chu Rou and tucked a strand of hair that had slipped to the corner of her mouth behind her ear.
Fate is a magical thing. Qi Lin propped her chin up and stared at Chu Rou. She liked Chu Rou very much the first time she saw her.
The more she got to know this woman, the more she admired her. She was beautiful and unpretentious, cheerful and talkative, and could be both gentle and ruthless. She was exactly the kind of woman Qi Lin longed to be.
Qi Lin pestered Qi Hang for a long time last night, and only when she said she would help him find out about Sister Chu Rou's family did Qi Hang finally agree.
As for her parents, she'll leave the explanation to her brother.
The plane landed, and Chu Rou and Qi Lin got off the plane to wait for their luggage.
Qi Lin was a little shorter than Chu Rou. She liked to put her arm around Chu Rou's arm and rest her head on her shoulder. "Sister Chu Rou, is someone coming to pick us up?"
"No, we can just take a taxi back." Chu Rou wasn't particularly bothered by Qi Lin's closeness, but she felt like there was a piece of chewing gum stuck to her skin that she couldn't shake off.
"Huh?" Qi Lin was a little surprised and flustered. "Should we take a taxi back ourselves?"
Chu Rou glanced at her and said, "Our family isn't a wealthy one; we don't have a private car to take us around in."
"But where is Mo Chi?" Qi Lin asked curiously.
Chu Rou thought for a moment, "When I met Mo Chi, he was just an ordinary college student who occasionally drove himself."
"Wow! He's quite low-key."
Qi Lin swallowed hard and said softly, "But I have a lot of luggage."
"It's okay, I'll get it for you."
Chu Rou thought that Qi Lin probably had two large suitcases; the young girl would likely bring a lot of clothes when she went out.
But when Chu Rou saw Qi Lin's suitcase, she realized how naive she had been.
One, two, three, four, five, Chu Rou counted, her vision blurry. "You brought so many boxes, are you planning to stay in City C for a long time? I didn't have this much stuff when I moved."
Including Chu Rou's own, there were a total of six suitcases, not enough to fit in a taxi.
Qi Linli, with a clear conscience, said, "These are all gifts I brought for your family."
"What kind of gift could you pack so much?" Chu Rou glanced at Qi Lin sideways. "You didn't pack five quilts, did you?"
"Of course not, you'll see when you get there."
They pushed their suitcases to the door using two luggage carts and hailed two taxis.
Chu Rou was worried about Qi Lin taking a taxi alone, so she put all the luggage in one car and rode in another car with Qi Lin.
The taxi pulled into Longxiangyuan, and Chu Rou told Qi Lin to get out, "We're home!"
The taxi carrying the suitcases arrived, and Chu Rou and Qi Lin took the suitcases out.
The two of them were already sweating profusely from all the work, and now they still had to move these boxes into the elevator. Chu Rou was at her wit's end.
"Xiaorou?"
"Sister Chu Rou!"
Shen Yan and Huang Shan happened to return and saw Chu Rou standing at the entrance of the building with her hands on her hips.
When Chu Rou saw the two of them, it was like seeing saviors; her eyes lit up. "That's great! You came back just in time!"
"Come help us carry our suitcases."
Huang Shan walked over, looked at the suitcases scattered on the floor, then at Qi Lin next to Chu Rou, and asked, "Sister Chu Rou, who is she? Are all these suitcases yours?"
“She’s a friend of mine. Let’s go upstairs first, and I’ll introduce you to her.”
Chu Rou gave one box to Huang Shan and one box to Shen Yan, leaving four boxes. Chu Rou and Qi Lin each received two boxes.
Qi Lin looked at Chu Rou with a wronged expression, "Sister Chu Rou, why do I have to take two?"
"You still have the nerve to ask why?" Chu Rou glared at her. "All five boxes were yours. We each helped you carry one, and you're not even grateful, you're still complaining."
"Oh!" Qi Lin thought that made sense, so she put away her aggrieved expression, resignedly pulled the two suitcases, and trudged forward.
Shen Yan took a box from Qi Lin's hand. "I'll get you another one."
Qi Lin looked over gratefully; Shen Yan appeared exceptionally tall and imposing at that moment. "Thank you, handsome brother!"
Shen Yan coughed awkwardly.
Huang Shan's gaze toward Qi Lin was filled with hostility.
"Troublemaker!" Chu Rou thought she saw those three big words above Qi Lin's head.
Finally arriving home, Chu Rou invited Shen Yan and Huang Shan in to sit for a while.
Qi Lin was very curious and took a walk around Chu Rou's house. It was a bit small, but very cozy.
Huang Shan took the opportunity to ask Chu Rou in a low voice, "Sister Chu Rou, who is this girl? You promised me that no other woman could get close to Brother Shen Yan."
"Don't worry, if she dares to have any designs on Brother Shen Yan, I'll send her back to City B!"
After Chu Rou finished speaking, she glared fiercely at Qi Lin.
Qi Lin, who had just returned, shivered at the sight of Chu Rou.
