Chapter 103 This Bodyguard is a Bit Cold

Chapter 103 This Bodyguard is a Bit Cold

Chu Rou:......

When did she call Qi Lin a good-for-nothing?

“I didn’t say you’re a good-for-nothing. I just think you should learn some basic life skills so that you won’t starve to death if no one takes care of you.”

Qi Lin nodded, "Sister Chu Rou is right."

Chu Rou patted Qi Lin on the back, "Alright, you can go and rest for a while and do something you like. I'm going to read a book."

Qi Lin was curious about what book Chu Rou was reading, so she followed Chu Rou and saw her sitting at a long desk, opening a book on financial management.

"Sister Chu Rou, are you studying management?"

“No,” Chu Rou said without looking up, “My major is computer science. I need to learn more about this field because I want to be Mo Chi’s assistant.”

Seeing that Chu Rou was studying diligently, Qi Lin didn't disturb her anymore. She quietly sat down in the seat next to her and randomly picked up a book to read along.

Chu Rou stared at the book for two hours, then, feeling her eyes getting tired, she looked up, looked away from the book, and stretched her neck.

Turning my head, I saw Qi Lin asleep on the desk, her mouth slightly open and drooling.

Chu Rou glanced at her a few more times; this girl was quite endearing when she was quiet.

She woke Qi Lin up, "Qi Lin, it's late, go back to your room and go to sleep!"

Qi Lin sat up, stunned for a while. After looking around, she remembered that she was in City C, at Sister Chu Rou's house.

"How did I fall asleep?" Qi Lin scratched her hair. "Reading is more effective than taking sleeping pills."

Chu Rou smiled and pulled out a tissue, handing it to Qi Lin, "Wipe your drool."

Qi Lin wiped her mouth sheepishly, and then wiped the drool off the table as well.

Chu Rou escorted Qi Lin back to her room, found her new toiletries, and then went back to her room to rest.

The company holiday is over, and Chu Rou should normally go back to work.

But with Qi Lin there, she couldn't leave her alone at home, so Chu Rou thought of her two bodyguards.

Xu Lan and Feng Fei have already returned and are living next door; they've informed her of their arrival.

Chu Rou plans to send someone to accompany Qi Lin to tour City C.

The next morning, without Mo Chi around, Chu Rou got up on time to exercise.

After she finished making breakfast, Qi Lin still hadn't come out.

Chu Rou had some things to explain, so she had to knock on Qi Lin's door.

After knocking for a long time, Qi Lin finally got up and opened the door. Her hair was a mess, and her eyes were lifeless. "Good morning, Sister Chu Rou!"

Chu Rou crossed her arms and looked at Qi Lin, "Didn't you sleep after you went back to your room last night? Did you stay up all night?"

Qi Lin hummed in agreement, "I couldn't control myself while playing games and didn't go to sleep until almost dawn."

Chu Rou has always been very self-disciplined. She disapproved of Qi Lin's routine and, since she lived in Qi Lin's house, she had to keep the same schedule as her.

"Did you come to City C just to play games at night and catch up on sleep during the day?" Chu Rou said sternly. "If that's the case, I think you'd better pack up and go back to City B today."

"If you live in my house, you have to follow my schedule. I have no obligation to accommodate everything you do."

Qi Lin, who was already in a daze, was stunned after hearing Chu Rou's words. What was going on? Was Sister Chu Rou angry because she stayed up late?

She rubbed her eyes and scratched her hair, not daring to confront Chu Rou directly. She remembered Qi Hang's words: even ten of her couldn't beat Chu Rou.

"I understand. I won't stay up late starting today."

A wise person knows when to yield, and Qi Lin was adept at assessing situations. Seeing Chu Rou in her business attire, she asked, "Sister Chu Rou, where are you going?"

"Going to work, Miss!" Chu Rou turned and walked towards the dining table. "Come and have breakfast first."

Qi Lin followed and sat down.

Chu Rou cooked eight-treasure porridge, made egg pancakes, and mixed pickled vegetables for breakfast, which looked delicious.

Qi Lin rarely eats breakfast during her vacation because she doesn't wake up until the afternoon.

She took a sip of the sweet, warm eight-treasure porridge and felt extremely comfortable in her stomach. "Sister Chu Rou, how come you are such a good cook? It tastes even better than the chef at my house."

Chu Rou rolled her eyes. "You're just flattering me. I only cook home-style dishes. How can I compare to a chef?"

"After you finish eating, tidy yourself up. I'll take you to meet someone; he'll accompany you out for a walk today."

"oh!"

After the two finished eating, Chu Rou tidied up the table and kitchen, and Qi Lin came out after washing up.

Chu Rou put on her coat, grabbed her things, and opened the door.

Xu Lan and Feng Fei were already waiting at the door. Chu Rou pulled Qi Lin to her side and said to Feng Fei, "Feng Fei, you accompany her around City C today. Your main responsibility is to ensure her safety and make sure she doesn't get hurt."

She then turned to Qi Lin and introduced him, "Qi Lin, this is Feng Fei. He's a bodyguard I hired. He's quite skilled. Stay close to him and call me anytime if anything happens. I'm going to work now."

"Xu Lan, you're coming to the company with me today. Just stay by my side." Chu Rou said, then pulled Xu Lan away.

Qi Lin and Feng Fei were left staring at each other in bewilderment.

Qi Lin looked the man up and down. He was tall, strong, and quite handsome, even better looking than her bodyguards. However, he had a sour face and didn't even smile.

"Your name is Feng Fei?"

Feng Fei hummed in agreement.

"Where shall we go today?" Qi Lin asked.

Feng Fei glanced at her. "I'm only responsible for your safety."

Qi Lin snorted and went back into the house, closing the door behind her.

She was still sleepy, yawning as she went back to her room to sleep.

Qi Lin woke up at noon and decided to go out for a walk.

When Qi Lin opened the door, she saw Feng Fei standing there and asked curiously, "How did you know I was going out?"

Feng Fei remained expressionless. "I've always been here."

Qi Lin blinked. This was a place she hadn't noticed before. No wonder her bodyguards were so elusive and always appeared at crucial moments; they had been there all along!

"Next time I'll tell you before I leave, so you don't have to stand outside for half a day," Qi Lin said apologetically.

"No need!" Feng Fei didn't accept the offer and kept his eyes fixed straight ahead.

Qi Lin pouted, "Annoying bodyguard."

Qi Lin went downstairs, and Feng Fei followed behind her. She suddenly turned around and asked, "Is there a car? I can't walk all by myself!"

Feng Fei didn't say anything. He walked to a car, opened the back door, and let Qi Lin get in.

This car was discarded by Mo Chi, and it's perfect for Feng Fei and Xu Lan to use.

Qi Lin got into the car, and Feng Fei sat in the driver's seat.

Qi Lin waited for a long time, but Feng Fei still hadn't started the car. She asked, "Why aren't you driving?"

Feng Fei replied calmly, "You didn't say where you were going?"

Qi Lin felt like she was choking on blood and really wanted to vomit all over Feng Fei.

Qi Lin took out her phone, searched for famous attractions in City C, randomly selected one, pointed at Feng Fei, and said, "I'm going here today."

Feng Fei glanced at it; it was a former residence of a famous person. He turned on the navigation, stepped on the gas, and sped out of the residential area.

Qi Lin leaned back, clutching her heart. This bodyguard was driving too fast!
