Chapter 159 We've broken up now; I was the one who left you.
Chu Rou pondered for a moment, then turned to Qi Lin and said, "Qi Lin, could you go to Mo Chi's office for me? I'm going to see Chairman Mo."
Qi Lin nodded, "Sister Chu Rou, don't worry, I won't let any other woman touch the ink pool."
Chu Rou smiled and followed Mo Anbang's secretary upstairs.
In Mo Chi's office.
Sun Li walked over to Mo Chi and placed the document on the table. "Mr. Chi, this document needs your signature."
Mo Chi hates women who lack a sense of propriety and get too close to him.
He slid the chair aside, a little distance from Sun Li, without even looking up, and said, "Put it here for now, you can leave!"
Sun Li leaned closer to Mo Chi and said, "Mr. Chi, I think Assistant Chu is targeting me."
Hearing Sun Li mention Chu Rou's name, Mo Chi finally looked up. "What did Chu Rou do to you?"
“She only makes me do photocopying and errand-running work every day. I don’t learn anything,” Sun Li pouted and said with a wronged expression.
Mo Chi scoffed, "This is a company, not a school. The company has no obligation to train you to become a talent. What we need are employees who can directly perform their jobs."
"Chu Rou only makes you do odd jobs. You should examine yourself and see if you are incapable of doing other work."
Sun Li's face flushed red and then paled. She mustered her courage and unbuttoned two more buttons on her shirt, fully revealing her bra. "President Chi, I know your relationship with Chu Rou is special. What she can give you, I can give you too. Am I not as good as her?"
Mo Chi was startled. He stood up from his chair, took several steps back, and scolded, "What are you doing? Put your clothes on quickly."
"President Chi..." Sun Li approached Mo Chi while placing her hands behind her back to unbutton her bra.
Damn it! Mo Chi was startled by Sun Li's actions; he had no intention of touching other women.
But if he shouts, what if Sun Li comes up to him, and Chu Rou comes in and misunderstands?
Just then, the office door was pushed open, and Qi Lin walked in.
"Wow!" Qi Lin's eyes widened in disbelief; the scene she had imagined had actually come true.
Sun Li is really shameless. She was about to strip naked when Qi Lin ran over, grabbed Sun Li's hair, dragged her out of Mo Chi's office, and pulled her into the office lobby.
"Ah!" Sun Li cried out in pain, "Qi Lin, let go of me!"
"Let go?" Qi Lin released her grip and slapped Sun Li across the face.
"Come on, everyone, look at this shameless slut. She dares to take off her clothes and seduce men right here at the company," Qi Lin said, hands on her hips, cursing at Sun Li.
Tian Meng and Guo Jia were both stunned. They hadn't expected Sun Li to be so bold, let alone Qi Lin to be so fierce. Sun Li probably wouldn't be able to stay any longer.
Xu Lan ran over and saw Sun Li covering half of her face, her clothes disheveled, and her bra hanging loosely in front of her chest. She asked Qi Lin, "Did she take off her clothes to seduce President Chi?"
Qi Lin pouted, "That's right. Luckily I went in in time. Mo Chi's reputation was almost ruined by her."
Xu Lan was also furious after hearing this. Sun Li actually wanted to steal Chu Rou's boyfriend. She slapped Sun Li across the face and yelled, "Shameless!"
Sun Li tied her clothes while crying, returned to her seat, put on her coat, picked up her things, and was about to leave.
As she passed Qi Lin and Xu Lan, she stopped and said threateningly, "You wait, I won't let you get away with this."
Qi Lin spat, "I'll wait and see what you can do to me!"
Sun Li left the company with a red and swollen face.
Mo Chi came out of the office and, not seeing Chu Rou, asked Qi Lin, "Where is Chu Rou?"
Qi Lin almost forgot about this. "Uncle Mo has called Sister Chu Rou upstairs. Why don't you go and see her?"
When Mo Chi heard that his father had called Chu Rou away, he was startled and ran upstairs immediately.
Chu Rou sat opposite Mo Anbang, her expression indifferent. "Mr. Mo, is there anything you need me to do?"
Mo Anbang took out a checkbook from the drawer, signed his name, tore off a check, and placed it in front of Chu Rou.
"Leave Inkpool, and this check is yours."
Chu Rou glanced down at the check, raised an eyebrow, and exclaimed, "Wow, it's a blank check!"
She looked up and asked, "Can I enter any amount?"
Mo Anbang saw the greed in Chu Rou's eyes, so he took back the check, sealed the "hundred million" digit, and then pushed the check back to Chu Rou.
Chu Rou was somewhat disappointed. She should have just taken it without asking.
"That's fine too. I can write up to 90 million." She picked up the check and stood up. "Thank you, Chairman Mo. I'll accept this check."
Mo Anbang sneered. He knew no one would turn down money. "You've taken my check, so you have to keep your promise."
"No problem!" Chu Rou said, then turned and left.
As Chu Rou left Mo Anbang's office, she saw Mo Chi being blocked at the door.
"Rou Rou," Mo Chi pulled Chu Rou back, "My dad didn't make things difficult for you, did he?"
“No,” Chu Rou said, noticing Mo Anbang’s secretary standing next to the ink pool. “Let’s go downstairs first.”
Chu Rou and Mo Chi returned to the office hall.
Qi Lin wanted to gossip about Sun Li with Chu Rou, but Mo Chi didn't give her the chance.
Chu Rou was pulled directly into the office by Mo Chi, who asked anxiously, "Rou Rou, what does my dad want with you?"
Chu Rou waved the check in her hand, "It's from your father, our breakup fee!"
Mo Chi took the check, a hint of shock flashing in his eyes. "You accepted my father's check? Rou Rou, what are you trying to do?"
Chu Rou didn't answer Mo Chi's question. She sat down in Mo Chi's leather chair, took the check from his hand, and filled in eight 9s on it. "Let's forget about the cents and round it up."
Chu Rou looked at the check, feeling very pleased. "It's a little short of a hundred million, just one dollar short."
Mo Chi frowned, still not understanding what Chu Rou was trying to do. "Rou Rou, my assets are much more than this check."
The implication was that she couldn't break up with him for such a small amount of money.
“Who would complain about having too much money?” Chu Rou glared at Mo Chi. “I’ll go deposit the check in a bit and put it in your account. It will be our joint property as husband and wife.”
“We’ve broken up now,” Chu Rou said, lifting Mo Chi’s chin. “I was the one who left you.”
"Rou Rou!" Mo Chi exclaimed in panic, gripping Chu Rou's hand tightly. "Don't scare me."
Chu Rou chuckled, "We can get back together after breaking up. All you need to do is pursue me again, in a way that the whole company knows, like you'd die without me."
Mo Chi breathed a sigh of relief. "Are you trying to act? You really scared me to death."
"I'm going to deposit the check. Don't forget to act a little sad." Chu Rou picked up the check and left Mo Chi's office.
