Chapter 259 Something Happened to Her Calligraphy!

Chapter 259 Something Happened to Her Calligraphy!

To Corey's surprise, Morrison still made a move.

That evening, Morrison went directly to one of Martin's villas and ruined Martin's plans.

When Martin learned that Morrison had arrived, he hurriedly got out of bed, changed his clothes, and went to the living room.

"What brings you here?" Martin greeted Morrison with a smile.

Morrison remained seated on the sofa. He looked up and stated his purpose directly, "I've come to find something."

"What are you looking for here?" Martin asked, puzzled.

Morrison twirled the ring on his index finger. "Someone brought my pet's toy to you. I need to take it back to appease my pet."

"Pet toys?" Martin was still confused. He looked at Corey, who was standing to the side, hoping to get an answer from him.

Corey smiled and said, "Mr. Martin, it's a little boy named Ivan who I heard was brought here."

Ivan? The little boy? Martin suddenly thought of the dying little boy on the bed. He looked a little flustered. How could he let others know about this?

Seeing Martin's hesitation, Morrison spoke up, "As long as you're alive, that's fine. I know your preferences very well. I'll get you a new toy another day. This one has to be returned to my pet."

Upon hearing Morrison's words, Martin was startled. Did Morrison have some evidence in his possession?

“I didn’t know this toy was related to you. I’ll have someone bring it out right away.”

Martin dared not offend Morrison, much less risk his reputation. He called over a servant and whispered a few words of instruction.

Soon, a servant came out carrying a boy. The boy was wrapped in a thin blanket, his face was pale, and his eyes were closed.

"The child is asleep, so we'll have to take him back," Martin said with an awkward smile.

Morrison gave Corey a look, and Corey took Ivan. It wasn't as heavy as he had imagined; it was very light, probably only about 60 or 70 pounds.

Morrison stood up. "You should thank the person who brought you the toy. She really put her heart into it and catered to your tastes."

Morrison finished speaking and walked out, with Corey following after him, carrying Ivan.

Martin pondered Morrison's words. Was it a calculated move? To pander to him? Did the William family intend to sacrifice a child to gain leverage over him and control him?

Fortunately, Morrison arrived in time; the child had almost died on his turf. Thinking of this, Martin felt a surge of anger. His eyes darkened, and he asked the servant beside him, "Where is Laura?"

"Miss Lola is in her guest room and is resting," the maid replied.

"Wake him up and take him to the dark room."

After giving his instructions, Martin went to wait in the darkroom, where there were plenty of tools to play with for a month without repeating a single one—it was truly exhilarating.

Corey held Ivan in his arms the whole time. He looked down at the boy in his arms, and if it weren't for the faint breathing, he would have thought he was holding a doll.

It has to be said that the William family has really good genes; this little guy is just as beautiful as Nancy.

I don't know how badly the child was injured; his lips were completely bloodless and deathly pale.

Morrison had Corey take Ivan back to his private villa and called the family doctor to treat him.

Morrison stopped interfering with Ivan's affairs and left everything to Corey.

Corey carried Ivan into a guest room, opened the blanket outside, and found that Ivan was completely naked. His once fair skin was covered with bruises, some new and some old.

The most serious issue is in the genital area; the front is red and swollen, and the back is covered in fresh blood, with fresh blood still flowing out.

Corey frowned, cursing Martin under his breath for being such a pervert, trying to drive people crazy!

The family doctor arrived and was shocked to see Ivan in this state. The boy had clearly been raped, but he quickly calmed down, as he had seen this kind of thing many times in aristocratic circles.

He was very experienced in treating this kind of wound and quickly stopped the bleeding for Ivan. He then left a tube of ointment and instructed Corey to apply it to the red and swollen area for Ivan every day.

Corey held the ointment in his hand and glanced at Ivan on the bed. This task was a bit tricky. He wanted to let other servants do it, but he was afraid that Ivan would be harmed again. His face was really tempting to commit a crime.

Let him come himself. Hopefully, the little one in bed will get better before Nancy returns.

...

Chu Rou took Nancy around City B for five days. She would work in the morning and take Nancy out to play in the afternoon, balancing work and personal life.

Five days later, Nancy's passport arrived.

Chu Rou didn't know whether to be happy or sad. She hugged Nancy and asked, "Nancy, will you come here again?"

Nancy didn't know either; she couldn't make her own decisions. "I probably will. Maybe I'll come to your wedding."

"That's great! If you can come, you can be my bridesmaid," Chu Rou paused for a moment, "No, you'd outshine me even as a bridesmaid, you should be a groomsman!"

Nancy laughed, "Okay, I'll be the best man and they'll all be way more handsome!"

After receiving her passport, Nancy bought a plane ticket to return to the United States the following afternoon.

Chu Rou waited until evening, wanting to confide her reluctance to part with Mo Chi, only to find that she couldn't get through to him on the phone.

This had never happened before, and Chu Rou began to worry. She made several calls, but the other party could not be reached.

Chu Rou couldn't sit still any longer. She called Qin Feng again, but couldn't get through, just like Mo Chi.

Something's not right, could something have gone wrong?

She didn't care what time it was and called Mo Anbang directly, telling him about Mo Chi's situation and that he had gone missing.

Mo Anbang also felt that something was wrong, so he contacted William directly, "William, I can't get in touch with my son."

William chuckled twice. “Mr. Mo, don’t worry. Your youngest son is perfectly safe. I’ve invited him to my home as a guest.”

Mo Anbang was silent for a few seconds, then asked in a deep voice, "What do you mean by this?"

"My point is simple: we need to renegotiate the profit-sharing terms of our contract. I've drafted a new contract and would like your youngest son to sign it."

William sighed. "Unfortunately, he's not very cooperative and refuses to sign. I can only ask him to come here. I'll send him away whenever he signs."

Mo Anbang was filled with regret; how could he have chosen to cooperate with this rogue company?

“He can’t make the decision,” Mo Anbang said. “I have to go there and sign the contract myself. Let my son come back first.”

“Then I’ll wait for Chairman Mo to come in person,” William said sincerely. “As for your youngest son, I will take good care of him.”

William hung up the phone after he finished speaking.

Mo Anbang paced back and forth in the study, unsure of what to do.

Chu Rou called again. Mo Anbang stared at his phone, thinking about how to talk to Chu Rou.

The call ended, and before Mo Anbang could even breathe a sigh of relief, Chu Rou called again. He answered the phone helplessly, "Rou Rou, Mo Chi is safe now, don't worry. I'll go to the US in the next couple of days to bring him back."

Upon hearing this, Chu Rou's mind went blank, and she dropped her phone on the ground. Something had happened to her calligraphy!
