Chapter 147 Chu Rou has always been my woman

Chapter 147 Chu Rou has always been my woman

Mo Chi pulled up a chair and sat opposite Mo Anbang, staring at him.

Mo Anbang's lips drooped, and his face was tense.

Mo Chi stroked his chin. He felt that his father was somewhat sexually unsatisfied. He was not young, but his needs were still quite high.

He could only think these things in his heart; he dared not say them aloud. "Dad, have you and Mom been arguing these past few days?"

Mo Anbang snorted and glanced at Mo Chi. He didn't want anyone else to know about the embarrassing fact that his wife wouldn't let him into the bedroom, but if he didn't say anything, given Yingying's stubborn nature, he didn't know how long she would ignore him.

"It's all because of Chu Rou's troubles. I didn't say anything, but your mother still won't talk to me."

Mo Chi was surprised; almost a week had passed, and his mother was still angry.

He pushed the tender notice back in front of Mo Anbang, "Why don't you sign it, and I'll try to persuade my mother?"

Mo Anbang glared at Mo Chi, but didn't move his hand. "Put the document aside for now. I'll take a closer look, and I'll sign it if I'm satisfied."

Mo Chi's lips twitched. His father was only going to act when he saw the benefit. Fine, he stood up. "I'll call my mom when I get back."

Mo Chi returned to his office floor. When Chu Rou saw that he came back empty-handed, she got up and followed him into the office.

"Chairman Mo didn't sign it?"

Mo Chi shrugged, looking somewhat helpless. "My mom is still angry with my dad. My dad has nowhere to vent his frustrations, so I just delivered myself to his doorstep."

"Then what should we do?" Chu Rou asked.

“Of course, we should find the root of the problem,” Mo Chi said calmly. He took out his phone and waved it. “If I can appease my mom, my dad will be happy, and if my dad is happy, he can sign the papers for us.”

“Then I’ll do it,” Chu Rou said, taking out her phone. “Mom is angry because of me.”

Mo Chi did not refuse. He was willing to let Chu Rou communicate more with his mother, as the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law was very important and would determine his happiness index in the future.

Chu Rou thought about what happened at the Mo family last time. The reason her mother-in-law was angry was probably because her father-in-law not only didn't thank her for her help, but also complained that she hadn't been considerate enough.

In order to reconcile the elderly couple, Chu Rou had no choice but to tell a white lie. She sent a message to Qiao Siying.

Aunt Qiao, have you been disciplining Mo Dong at home?

Qiao Siying replied quickly, "What's wrong? Did he bully you again?"

Chu Rou sent a big smiley face and said: [Chairman Mo actually apologized to me today, saying that what he said the other day was unpleasant and that I shouldn't take it to heart, but he was also thinking about our safety.]

[Aunt Qiao, I'm just a straightforward person, and I'm fine once I've vented my anger. These past few days I've been on tenterhooks, afraid that Chairman Mo would find fault with me or criticize me regarding business matters. I never expected Chairman Mo to say these things to me.]

After a few minutes of silence, Qiao Siying sent a message: "[Did he really say that?]"

Chu Rou felt that Qiao Siying was starting to believe her. [Yes, but please don't ask Chairman Mo. Let's save him some face!]

Rou Rou, I'm so sorry you had to go through that last weekend. You didn't even get to eat a meal. Do you have time tomorrow? Auntie will treat you to a meal.

Chu Rou thought for a moment and, since she had no plans for tomorrow, Saturday, she accepted Qiao Siying's invitation.

"You can't be with me again tomorrow." Mo Chi stayed by Chu Rou's side, watching her send messages.

Chu Rou turned her head to look at him, "Then I'll retract the message and say I'm going to spend time with you tomorrow?"

"No need, we have plenty of time together, you should spend more time with my mom!"

The two cuddled in the office for a while when the internal phone on Mo Chi's desk rang. He went over to answer it; it was Mo Anbang calling, asking him to come up and pick up the bidding notice.

Mo Chi hung up the phone, smiled and gave Chu Rou an "OK" sign. "It's done. My dad has signed it. I'll go get it now."

Mo Chi went upstairs to Mo Anbang's office.

Mo Anbang tossed the tender notice to Mo Chi, a slight smile appearing on his face. "Well done. How did you manage to appease your mother?"

Mo Chi touched his nose. "It wasn't me, it was Chu Rou who coaxed him."

"Chu Rou?" Mo Anbang's face darkened again. "What exactly is your relationship with that Chu Rou?"

Mo Chi lowered his eyes, tapping his thigh with his fingers. After a moment, he raised his head and looked directly into Mo Anbang's eyes. "She is my woman, and I am her man. It's a normal relationship between a man and a woman."

"You..." Mo Anbang slammed his hand on the table and stood up, pointing at the ink pool, "You better divide it up for me right now!"

"How dare you mess around with women right under Qi Lin's nose, and even steal Qi Hang's girlfriend? What are you thinking?"

“I can’t break up with her. Chu Rou and Qi Hang have nothing to do with each other. She has always been my woman,” Mo Chi said firmly. “Please help me cancel my engagement with Qi Lin. I can only marry Chu Rou in this lifetime.”

Don't even think about it!

Mo Anbang's forehead veins bulged as he pounded the table.

"I'm giving you a month to deal with Chu Rou. I don't want to see her in the company again."

"dad!"

Mo Chi wanted to say something more, but Mo Anbang stopped him, saying, "Don't say anything more. I'm afraid I can't even wait a month."

"Get out!"

Mo Chi frowned, knowing that further explanation would only worsen the situation, so he could only turn and leave.

Mo Chi had anticipated his father's reaction, but he didn't regret bringing up his relationship with Chu Rou. It was a problem he would have to face sooner or later, so he might as well resolve it sooner.

As for my mother, let's talk about it after tomorrow!

Mo Chi dragged his heavy steps to Chu Rou and placed the tender notice on her desk. "Scan it and send it to the official website for public bidding."

"Okay," Chu Rou looked up at Mo Chi and noticed his pale face. "What happened?"

Mo Chi shook his head slightly and tapped on the partition next to Qi Lin. "Qi Lin, come with me for a moment."

After finishing his sentence, Mo Chi headed towards his office.

Qi Lin was stunned for a moment, then looked at Chu Rou, "Sister Chu Rou, what does Mo Chi want with me?"

"I don't know," Chu Rou frowned. "Have you gotten into any trouble lately?"

Qi Lin shook her head vigorously, "I've been very well-behaved lately, going back and forth between get off work and home every day."

"Then go in and ask Mo Chi!" Chu Rou winked. "I'm also curious what he wants with you."

Qi Lin stood up, straightened her clothes, and said, "I'll tell you when I come out."

Chu Rou nodded.

Qi Lin walked into Mo Chi's office, sat down casually on the sofa, and asked in a lazy tone, "Mr. Chi, what can I do for you?"

Mo Chi said seriously, his hands folded on the table, his eyes lowered and not looking at Qi Lin. "My father already knows about my relationship with Chu Rou."

"Huh?" Qi Lin sat up straight. "What did Uncle Mo say?"

Mo Chi raised his head. "I want your Qi family to propose annulment of the engagement. What do you think?"
