Chapter 44 Others will think I was sexually harassed by you.

Chapter 44 Others will think I was sexually harassed by you.

Chu Rou and Mo Chi left the hotel hand in hand.

“Mo Chi, isn’t this order very important to Wan Hua?” Chu Rou was afraid that Mo Chi would act impulsively, so she advised him, “You’re not going to refuse to cooperate because of me, are you? Actually, that Liu guy didn’t do anything to me.”

Mo Chi stopped and turned to look at her, his eyes dark. "It will be too late when he actually does something to you. Scum like him shouldn't be alive."

"Mo Chi, you can't be impulsive!" Chu Rou was frightened by Mo Chi's words.

Mo Chi glanced at her. "I don't do anything illegal, don't worry."

Chu Rou was slightly relieved. "Do you know that male assistant?"

Mo Chi gave a faint "hmm," and said, "We've met twice."

He looked down at Chu Rou's feet and asked, "Is your ankle better?"

Chu Rou was wearing flat shoes today. She took a few steps forward, then turned around and said, "Completely healed."

"Then come with me to the company meeting this afternoon." Mo Chi walked to Chu Rou's side in two steps and took her hand again.

The two arrived at the Wanhua Company building in a Rolls-Royce.

After getting out of the car, Chu Rou refused to let Mo Chi hold her hand, saying, "I don't want people to misunderstand that I was sexually harassed by you."

A hint of displeasure flashed in Mo Chi's eyes. He didn't force Chu Rou any further. He understood the principle that too much of a good thing can be bad, and decided to give her some more time to adjust.

Back in the president's office, Mo Chi immediately changed his demeanor and instructed Chu Rou to notify all senior executives to hold a meeting in half an hour.

Chu Rou turned on her computer and sent a group email to the senior executives, announcing a meeting.

Chu Rou is meticulous; if she doesn't receive a reply, she will call again to confirm receipt.

Although Mo Chi kept his head down, he was listening to what Chu Rou was saying, and he was very satisfied with Chu Rou's work attitude.

He kept Chu Rou by his side not only because he wanted to spend every day with her, but also because he believed in her abilities. He didn't have many people he could use in Wanhua yet.

With five minutes left before the meeting, Chu Rou reminded Mo Chi, "Mr. Mo, it's time to go to the meeting room."

Mo Chi glanced at the time, got up and walked to the door. He turned around and saw that Chu Rou was still sitting in her seat. "What are you doing?"

"Huh?" Chu Rou stood up. "Do I have to go too?"

"Nonsense, grab your laptop and take meeting minutes." Mo Chi sighed helplessly. He shouldn't have thought so highly of her; she's been acting silly all the time.

Chu Rou picked up her computer, grabbed a notebook and a pen, and hurriedly followed Mo Chi.

The two arrived at the meeting room on time.

Mo Chi sat in the middle seat and pointed to the seat next to him, gesturing for Chu Rou to sit down.

Chu Rou saw that in the huge conference room, besides her and Mo Chi, only three senior executives had arrived; the others had not yet arrived.

Mo Chi's expression remained normal. He turned to Chu Rou and said, "Write down the names of all the people attending the meeting."

Chu Rou nodded in agreement. She turned on her computer, created a new file, and quickly typed on the keyboard to record the attendees.

These three senior executives were her former boss, Mr. Li from the R&D department; the sales manager who was temporarily acting as the sales director; and the head of the administration department, the only female executive, who had a good relationship with Chu Rou.

Mo Chi was unaffected; he opened his notebook and held the meeting as usual.

Since three departments had come, he only talked about the work of those three departments, and the three senior executives became more and more serious as they listened.

The head office suddenly appointed Mo Chi as president of Wanhua. Wanhua's senior management thought that Mo Chi was just there to gain experience and that a college student who hadn't even graduated yet didn't know anything about management, so no one took him seriously.

Today is the first high-level meeting held by Mo Chi. Since it was Chu Rou who notified them, the three people who came all have a good relationship with Chu Rou and came to the meeting because of Chu Rou.

But once Mo Chi opened his mouth, his analysis of the work problems of the three departments was incisive and insightful.

He only took a week to thoroughly understand the internal workings of Wanhua.

Chu Rou's fingers flew across the keyboard; her typing speed was incredibly fast, recording everything everyone said.

An hour later, Mo Chi closed his laptop and said to the three executives, "I know you came to this meeting today because of Chu Rou, but you will be glad you made this decision later."

"That concludes today's meeting. Meeting adjourned!"

Chu Rou closed her laptop, smiled and nodded at the three executives, took her things, and left with Mo Chi.

Mr. Li, the head of the R&D department, patted his heart and whispered, "Looks like the company is about to undergo a major reshuffle!"

The other two were also a little scared. "Fortunately, it was Chu Rou who became the president's special assistant."

Back in the president's office, Chu Rou began organizing the meeting minutes, glancing furtively at Mo Chi as she did so.

Mo Chi suddenly raised his eyes, catching Chu Rou red-handed as she stole a glance at him. "Am I good-looking?"

"It looks good," Chu Rou blurted out without thinking. Only after she finished speaking did she realize what she had said. She cleared her throat. "Aren't you angry?"

"Why are you angry?" Mo Chi leaned back in his chair. "Just because the company's senior management didn't come to the meeting?"

"Hmph, they'll regret it someday, and then they'll be the ones crying."

Chu Rou stopped typing. "You're not going to fire all those executives, are you? That would be a big move; they'd take a lot of company resources with them."

"If I fire them, I'll have to pay hefty breach of contract fees, which isn't worth it."

Mo Chi sneered, his eyes filled with a ruthlessness that Chu Rou had never seen before.

Chu Rou shrank her neck, subconsciously telling herself never to provoke Mo Chi again.

After she finished compiling the meeting minutes, she sent them to Mo Chi.

Mo Chi glanced through it and praised, "You remember it well. Send it to the three senior executives attending the meeting, and copy the other senior executives as well."

"OK."

The other senior executives were all taken aback after receiving Chu Rou's email and reading the meeting minutes. They weren't fools; the meeting minutes were full of valuable information, and it seemed they had all misjudged the situation.

The senior executives all rushed to the general manager to discuss solutions.

The general manager's office was a chaotic mess of chatter. The general manager, exasperated, slammed his hand on the table and yelled, "Stop arguing!"

The office immediately fell silent. The general manager frowned and scolded, "You are all senior executives of Wanhua, and you lose your composure over such a small matter."

"Don't worry, everyone. The law doesn't punish everyone. None of us went, so what can he do to us?"

"As long as we are united, no matter how powerful he is, it won't matter."

After hearing the general manager's words, the senior executives breathed a sigh of relief. One of them asked, "But three others went to the meeting. What do you think about that?"

The general manager scoffed, "Those three—one old, one woman, and one deputy—what do you expect me to think?"

"Hahaha!" Laughter erupted in the office.

In stark contrast to the general manager's office, the only sound in the president's office was the tapping of keyboards.

While Mo Chi was busy with work, Chu Rou took out two books on management from Mo Chi's bookshelf and returned to her seat to study them.

Suddenly, a cell phone rang. Mo Chi picked up the phone and answered the call. After listening to the person on the other end of the line, he said, "I'll be there on time."

After hanging up the phone, he looked at Chu Rou and said, "Rou Rou, come with me to a business dinner tonight."
