Chapter 80 Today is their wedding night

Chapter 80 Today is their wedding night

"Honey, what if my dad sees this and thinks I'm crazy?!"

Mo Chi sighed, wondering if his dad would scold him.

"Huh?" Chu Rou was a little at a loss. "No way, he should be moved to tears."

"You're unlikely to make my dad cry in this lifetime."

Just as Mo Chi finished speaking, Mo Anbang replied with a message. The two looked down at it together; it contained only one word: "Mm."

“It seems your dad has accepted the fact that you’re sick.” Chu Rou pointed to the words on the screen.

Mo Chi scratched his brow, it seemed different from what he had expected. He hadn't thought his father would fall for this. "Then I'll have you send all the messages for me from now on."

"OK!"

...

The two settled their lifelong commitment in just half a day.

After lunch, they returned to the company and continued their work.

The two didn't leave the company until it got dark, and headed home.

Back at Longxiang Garden, Chu Rou stood at her door and saw a court summons posted on it. She tore it off and took a look, and her mood instantly plummeted.

It was Chu Mingjie and her grandmother who sued her.

"They're shameless to the extreme," Chu Rou said with indignation.

Mo Chi took the summons and glanced at it. "Should we just cripple him?"

Chu Rou turned to look at Mo Chi in shock, "We can't do anything illegal."

"So what do you want to do?"

"Of course, you should go to Brother Shen Yan if you want to file a lawsuit!"

Chu Rou pulled Mo Chi downstairs and walked to Shen Yan's door. Chu Rou knocked on the door.

Huang Shan opened the door.

Huang Shan saw Chu Rou and quickly greeted her, "Hi, Sister Chu Rou, what brings you here?"

"Did I disturb you?"

"Of course not, I'm packing my luggage. I'm going back to D City tomorrow." Huang Shan made way for Chu Rou and Mo Chi to go in.

This was Chu Rou's first time visiting Shen Yan's home. The interior was decorated even more plainly and rigidly than his office.

"Is Brother Shen Yan here?" Chu Rou didn't see Shen Yan.

“He’s in the study,” Huang Shan pointed in the direction of the study. “I usually don’t see him when I come back. He’s still inside when I’m sleeping.”

Mo Chi rolled his eyes at her, "You're really stupid, you couldn't even win him over when you were so close."

Huang Shan glared at Mo Chi. "I just don't have your thick skin."

Chu Rou ignored their bickering and went straight to knock on the study door.

The door opened, and Shen Yan was surprised to see Chu Rou. "Xiao Rou, what brings you here?"

Chu Rou handed the court summons to Shen Yan, saying, "Brother Shen Yan, you still need to help me with this lawsuit."

Shen Yan took the summons and glanced at it, remaining very calm. "I've already investigated them. Your grandmother doesn't have any serious illness, just a minor ailment. It won't even cost ten thousand yuan."

"Chu Mingjie owed 200,000 yuan in gambling debts. He sold his land in the countryside, but it wasn't enough to pay off the debts."

"So now he has no source of income, which means he is unable to support your grandmother."

"According to the law, if children are unable to support their elderly parents, their grandchildren have an obligation to do so."

"That means you'll have to take care of your grandma from now on."

"They're dreaming!" Chu Rou stomped her foot in anger.

After hearing Shen Yan's words, Mo Chi made a suggestion, "Why don't we help Chu Mingjie find a job?"

“He’s not even 50 years old yet, and he’s not disabled, so he should be able to work and earn money.”

Shen Yan stroked his chin. "That's an idea. Where do you want to arrange a job for him?"

“I think shoveling manure is a good job,” Chu Rou said sullenly from the side.

Mo Chi ruffled her hair, comforting Chu Rou, "Arrange for him to work as a cleaner at our company, and we can keep an eye on him."

"He got off too easy."

After discussing Chu Mingjie's matter, Chu Rou and Mo Chi returned to their home.

I had just arrived home when there was a knock on the door.

Mo Chi frowned, glancing at the time; it was already quite late. He asked impatiently, "Who is it?"

"I'll do it, I'll do it!" Chu Rou ran over to open the door.

Chu Rou opened the door, and Xu Lan was there, carrying a cake in one hand and a bag in the other. She blushed and handed the things over, saying, "Sister Chu Rou, these are the things you asked me to buy."

Chu Rou took the items and said with a smile, "Thank you!"

After closing the door, Chu Rou took the cake to the dining table and then carried the bag into the bedroom.

Mo Chi was pleasantly surprised to see the cake. He followed Chu Rou to the bedroom and saw her stuff a bag under the covers. "What are you hiding?" he asked.

"It's nothing," Chu Rou said, pushing Mo Chi out of the bedroom. "Let's go eat birthday cake first."

Chu Rou placed the candles on the cake, lit them, and then turned off all the lights.

"Mo Bao, make a wish quickly!" Chu Rou urged.

This was the first time Mo Chi had celebrated his birthday with such a ceremony. In the previous 21 years, he would receive gifts, but no one would prepare a birthday cake for him.

Mo Chi felt a warmth in his heart. It was different to have a wife who loved him. He closed his eyes and made a silent wish.

He wanted to be with Chu Rou forever, to love each other and grow old together.

He wanted to have both a son and a daughter with Chu Rou, so that he could live a life without regrets.

My last wish is for his parents: I hope his father lives to be a hundred years old and can spend more time with his mother.

Mo Chi opened his eyes and blew out all the candles in one breath.

"Mo Bao, happy birthday, I love you!" Chu Rou hugged Mo Chi's neck and kissed his lips.

In the darkness, the sense of touch became even more sensitive. Mo Chi held onto Ding Xiang, who had taken the initiative to explore, and their breaths mingled, causing their body temperatures to rise rapidly.

Chu Rou patted the inkstone, signaling him to let go of her.

Mo Chi reluctantly released Chu Rou, his voice already hoarse, "Wife, let's go to sleep!"

"Sleep my ass! I haven't even eaten the cake yet, I'm starving!"

Chu Rou turned on the light and took a bottle of red wine from the refrigerator. "Cake with red wine, that should be nice!"

Mo Chi's lips curled slightly when he saw the red wine. Chu Rou hadn't drunk alcohol for a long time, and he missed the way she looked when she was drunk.

The two of them ate cake and drank wine, and soon the bottle was empty.

Before the alcohol took effect, Chu Rou stood up and said, "Mo Bao, I'm going to take a shower first. Wait for me here!"

Mo Chi licked his lips, smiled, and nodded, "Okay!"

Today is their wedding night, and Mo Chi is already picturing their entangled union in his mind.

Chu Rou went to the bedroom.

Mo Chi sat in the chair, grinning foolishly.

The vibration of his phone brought Mo Chi back to his senses. He picked up the phone and saw that it was a call from his mother.

As soon as the call connected, Qiao Siying's gentle voice came through the phone, "Son, happy birthday! Did you have anything good to eat today?"

"Yes!" Mo Chi thought to himself that he was about to have a big meal.

"That's good. Your dad said when he came back today that he hasn't given you a proper birthday celebration in all these years. He said he'll throw you a big one next year when you graduate and come back."

"Huh? No need, I'm used to it." Mo Chi rubbed his forehead. His father must have been traumatized by that news today.

At that moment, the bedroom door opened, and Chu Rou walked out wearing a red lace lingerie set.

Mo Chi's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. He coughed and said to Qiao Siying, "Mom, I have to hang up now. I have something important to deal with here!"
