The moon was bright that night, and its gentle light softly bathed the earth.
Su Yuxi lay sprawled on the large bed, her face serene and charming. The scene from last night had not left her with any psychological trauma. The quiet room was filled with the sound of her soft breathing.
Her adorable bear pajamas, worn in a casual sleeping position, revealed glimpses of her skin.
A gentle breeze blew by, causing the curtains to sway softly. The door was pushed open, and a tall figure quietly entered, slowly approaching the bedside.
He stood by the bed, gazing greedily at her fair face in the dim moonlight, his eyes brimming with longing: the little girl had lost weight, and there were faint dark circles under her eyes, clearly indicating she hadn't rested well.
A sudden pang of heartache and self-reproach welled up within me.
"Why can't you just stay put? Why are you running around? You could have just stayed there and waited for me."
He slowly sat down on the edge of the bed, his warm fingertips gently stroking her delicate cheek. The longing in his eyes turned into tenderness and cherishing. As he slowly lowered his body, he moved his thin lips and placed a light kiss on her cheek.
Just as he was about to leave, the person on the bed suddenly opened their eyes, and a pair of legs quickly wrapped around his waist. With an irresistible force, they twisted the man who had attacked them and pinned him to the bed.
Fu Huaijin did not struggle at all, and fell onto the bed with her force.
The woman who had been pretending to be asleep was now sitting arrogantly on his firm abs, her eyes clear and bright, showing no sign of sleepiness, but rather a cunning and smug look.
Su Yuxi looked at this despicable man, bent down and grabbed his collar, saying fiercely, "Well, you stinky man, you still know how to come back."
Fu Huaijin smiled, his gaze fixed intently on the beautiful and radiant girl. He raised his hand to gently smooth her slightly disheveled hair, then tilted his head closer, his high nose touching her delicate nose. Their breaths mingled, and a low, apologetic voice escaped from his sensual lips: "I'm sorry, I'm late."
Su Yuxi's eyes widened slightly, and she instinctively leaned back, trying to create distance between them, but the man swiftly grabbed her neck and instantly captured her slightly parted red lips.
"Ugh..." Her eyes widened in astonishment. She hadn't expected to be ambushed again. She grabbed his clothes and tried to push him away, but the man held her even tighter, as if he wanted to embed her into his body.
Gradually, her resistance subsided, and she felt her consciousness being shrouded in a fog, causing her to lose her way. In her daze, she slowly compromised and responded.
The room temperature rose rapidly, and waves of heat surged quietly. Just then, an invisible force approached, and Su Yuxi's reason, which was about to succumb, was as if it had been struck. The confusion in her eyes instantly dissipated, and she gradually became clear.
She made a whimpering protest sound from her nose, and Fu Huaijin reluctantly let go of her.
Looking at Su Yuxi's bewildered yet charming appearance, his pounding heart stirred with a desire to bully her mercilessly.
Who can blame him when she's so beautiful, and who can blame him when she's his girlfriend?
During the days he was separated from Su Yuxi, he missed her every moment. He longed for her to eat with him, to watch the sunrise and sunset with him, and to lie in the same bed with her, so that he could see her bright smile as soon as he opened his eyes.
I thought that as long as I was busy with work and didn't pay attention to Su Yuxi's information, I could suppress the overwhelming longing.
However, quite the opposite is true.
Sometimes habits are a terrible thing.
The more he tried to avoid and suppress it, the more intensely he thought about it, especially in the dead of night. That agonizing feeling was a hundred times more unbearable than any physical pain.
When his longing became unbearable, he didn't care about anything else; all he wanted to do was call her to ease his yearning.
Unexpectedly, he received a call from Su Yuxi first, informing him of her danger.
At that moment, he had only one thought: to go back, to go back to her, and to bring her to his side.
After hanging up the phone, he went to the forestry school immediately and learned what had happened afterward.
But his intuition told him it was impossible.
Although he couldn't find any information about Su Yuxi's past, he still believed that this woman would not betray him.
For the first time, he believed in this ethereal feeling.
Because this person is Su Yuxi.
Lin Xiao said he was bewitched by a woman, and all the information indicated that Su Yuxi was staying by his side with a purpose.
But he just wouldn't believe it.
After regaining consciousness, Su Yuxi did not look at Fu Huaijin's face, but looked around. She was puzzled. Why did the aura that suddenly appeared just now look so much like Azu?
But why can't I find it at all now?
Fu Huaijin, displeased with her looking around, pressed her head down with both hands, forcing her to focus only on him: "What are you looking at?"
Shouldn't we look at him?
Su Yuxi finally snapped out of her reverie, looked at the annoying man, and slapped him on the chest: "What's it to you? Didn't you lock me up on the island and then run away? Why are you back now?"
Recalling those frustrating days of fleeing, her eyes gradually welled up with tears. She snorted coldly and turned her head away, not wanting to look at him.
It's all because of this man. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be suffering like this.
Fu Huaijin felt even more guilty. He took her hands and gently squeezed them: "I'm sorry. I just wanted to protect you. I was afraid you wouldn't go, so I didn't tell you."
No one expected that she would try to escape. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Su Yuxi snorted again, not caring about his excuses: "Why should I listen to what you want? I'm very capable, okay? No one can hurt me if I don't want to."
Fu Huaijin stared at her slightly arrogant expression, feeling very fortunate that she had the ability to protect herself: "Hmm, Xixi is very capable."
But: "Promise me that next time you encounter these kinds of things, you don't have to worry about anything else, just run, don't let them catch up, and don't get hurt, okay?"
If the enemy outnumbers her and has superior weaponry, she'll definitely get into trouble if she acts recklessly alone.
Su Yuxi was slightly taken aback: "You know about what happened last night?"
How does he know everything?
"Um."
"Now that you know, you should understand even more that I don't take these people seriously at all. If they dare to mess with me, I'll make sure they die without a burial place."
Fu Huaijin raised his hand and flicked her forehead; this girl wouldn't listen to a word he said.
Su Yuxi covered her forehead and punched him with her little fist: "Don't hit me, I'll hit back."
Fu Huaijin chuckled and rubbed her chest: "Well, a girl shouldn't be shouting about fighting and killing all the time."
