Chapter 66 Man, Let Me Hide Behind You

The person brought in was a female doctor. Seeing her fully armed face, I was a little surprised, but I didn't say anything. She was probably a public figure who couldn't be seen by others. I often encountered this kind of thing, so naturally I didn't pay much attention to it.

Chu Juan had just told her not to look at things she shouldn't look at, and not to ask questions she shouldn't ask.

She tactfully withdrew her gaze, prepared the necessary tools for blood drawing as usual, disinfected the fair arm, and took out the lancet and test tube.

Su Yuxi hadn't thought much of it before, but the moment she saw the sharp needle, her scalp tingled and she instinctively tried to pull her hand back.

She doesn't want to be obedient anymore.

However, having already coaxed him into extending his hand, how could he possibly let him pull it back?

Chu Juan quickly pressed her down, his voice coaxing, "It'll be over soon. If you're scared, just close your eyes." He then covered her eyes with his hands.

Su Yuxi felt nothing but darkness before her eyes, and could feel nothing but the warmth of the hand.

It seems like I can't see it, so I'm not really that scared.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp, stabbing pain in her arm. She gasped and tried to struggle, but another hand held her down firmly.

In just over ten seconds, three vials of blood were drawn.

Then came another sharp pain as the needle was pulled out.

"alright."

The arm surgery is finished, but there's still one more crucial step.

This time, Chu Juan asked the nurse who had come in to leave first.

Once there were no outsiders around, he allowed Su Yuxi to remove her mask and glasses so he could draw blood from her face.

Su Yuxi recalled the feeling from just now, and stood up abruptly, raising her hand to cover her left cheek. Although the needle was smaller than before, the thought of it being inserted into her face still made her tense and her eyes filled with resistance.

"Maybe we shouldn't get the needles removed from my face." Although the needles weren't lethal, she was still very scared.

Chu Juan smiled, placed his hand on her shoulder, forcefully pressed her back into the chair, and brought the needle, which gleamed with a cold light, close to her face: "Draw a little bit. Now that we're here, don't you want to get rid of this poison as soon as possible?"

"Once the poison is neutralized, your face will regain its former fair and smooth appearance. Otherwise, if it takes three to five years for it to be absorbed, won't you be a Harley Quinn for three to five years?"

The words "Harley Quinn" successfully frightened her. How could she waste three to five years without making any money?

She gritted her teeth, then slowly lowered her hand, revealing her entire face, her eyes filled with trepidation: "Then you have to be gentle and quick."

"Okay." Chu Juan was afraid she would change her mind, so he agreed quickly and then sped up, disinfecting, inserting the needle, drawing blood, and stopping the bleeding all in one go.

By the time she realized what was happening, it was all over.

Chu Juan held the freshly drawn blood sample, his brows furrowed.

Although I had expected it, I was still shocked when I saw the ink-black color, and... the blood seemed to be corroding the test tube.

He was secretly shocked. Was it really that poisonous?

Without thinking twice, he quickly put the items into the insulated box, didn't say goodbye to the people behind him, and turned to leave with the box.

Su Yuxi covered her face, inwardly cursing Chu Juan's scumbag behavior. He had just used her and then abandoned her and ran away.

She grunted twice, and almost bumped into something as she turned around.

Looking up, I saw Fu Huaijin, who should have been sleeping. This man was really tall, but: "Next time you walk, could you make some noise?"

It scares people half to death every time.

Fu Huaijin lowered his eyes and saw a faint blush rising at the corners of her eyes, and her bright, dark eyes shimmering as if she had been crying.

He raised his hand and curiously tapped the corner of her eye: "Does it hurt?"

Startled by his actions, Su Yuxi took two steps back and stammered, "No."

It didn't really hurt much, I was just afraid of the needle.

The more this man pointed at her, the more terrified she felt.

"Um, the blood draw is done, can we go back now?"

Fu Huaijin had just rested for a while and had recovered a lot of energy. He knew that Chu Juan, having received that vial of blood, wouldn't be able to return anytime soon.

"Okay, if you don't want to stay, we'll go back first."

"good."

Su Yuxi threw away the cotton ball pressing on her wound and put her hat, glasses, and mask back on.

After disguising themselves, the two left the VIP room.

There's a saying that goes, "Enemies meet on a narrow road." You run into those two unlucky people when you come, and you run into them again when you leave.

Su Yuxi reacted quickly with a graceful turn, hiding directly behind Fu Huaijin. The person opposite her reacted a beat too late, only catching a glimpse of a corner of his clothes.

The two groups of people looked at each other from a distance.

Lu Yunzhou was no longer as enthusiastic as before. He merely nodded slightly to Fu Huaijin, his gaze mostly fixed on the woman hiding behind him. He had no interest in Fu Huaijin's woman, but the more she hid, the more he wanted to know who she was.

He stared intently at the two exposed legs until he felt the overwhelming pressure emanating from Fu Huaijin, at which point he slowly came back to his senses.

Jiang Shiqian stood to his lower right, following him like a servant. Before, she was the one protected by the man. In just half a year, had the roles been reversed?

"Yunzhou, I'm not feeling well. Let's find a place to sit down." Jiang Shiqian reached out and gently shook his hand, while her other hand covered her lower abdomen. Her face was contorted in pain, and a few beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, indicating that she was indeed feeling very uncomfortable.

Lu Yunzhou frowned impatiently, stopped in his tracks, and met her pleading gaze.

In the end, he softened and took her hand, leading her to another seat.

Su Yuxi was on edge, her fingers tightly gripping Fu Huaijin's clothes. She peeked out, wanting to look but not daring to. They were sitting right next to her and wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.

And they have to walk past them, in case they get recognized...

"What should we do?" she tugged at the man's sleeve and asked in a low voice.

"Just walk over there." Fu Huaijin glanced at her head and spoke calmly. He couldn't understand why, even if they found out, she wasn't the one who did something wrong, and she shouldn't be the one hiding.

Su Yuxi's mind went blank for a moment, and before she could say anything, Fu Huaijin walked straight ahead.

She didn't have time to think. Like a spinning top, she used him as cover and moved slowly with his steps, inevitably causing their bodies to come into contact.

Fu Huaijin felt the softness he had never touched before, slowed his pace a few steps, and then continued walking forward as if nothing had happened.

As they walked past Lu Yunzhou, they could feel the intense gaze directed at him.

Su Yuxi's heart was pounding, and her toes were practically claw-like; she wanted to hop on the spot.
