When Su Yuxi woke up in bed, she was still a little dizzy.
I vaguely remember smelling something that made me dizzy, and then... I don't remember anything else.
The first thing she did upon waking was to touch her belly with both hands. Seeing that the baby was still there, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"She's awake." Fu Huaijin, who had been resting with his eyes closed, noticed the slight movement beside him and opened his eyes. He saw Su Yuxi trying to get up, so he immediately got up to help her and pulled out a pillow to support her back.
"What's wrong with me? I haven't done anything outrageous, have I?" Su Yuxi asked hurriedly, afraid that the baby in her belly had made her do something bad again.
Fu Huaijin remained silent, his gaze falling on her with a complex mix of apology and heartache.
"What's wrong? Did I really do something outrageous again?" Su Yuxi straightened up excitedly, and the movement pulled the chain, producing a dull thud.
She abruptly threw off the covers and was shocked to find that her slender ankles were shackled with iron chains. She reached out to pull the chain and looked down to see that the other end was firmly fixed to the cold wall.
She looked at Fu Huaijin in shock, her hands trembling slightly as she tugged at the chains, asking him what he meant.
"Tell me, what exactly happened?"
Why are you locking me up?
Fu Huaijin’s voice was low and hoarse as he struggled to tell the truth: “Hu Chichi tricked us into coming here. She has no way to save the child.”
After he said that, Su Yuxi understood everything. Her face turned ashen, and she clutched her stomach tightly with both hands.
The room was deathly silent; time seemed to stand still at that moment.
Time passed second by second.
Su Yuxi found it increasingly terrifying to think about it. They had wanted to abort her child from the very beginning, and because they were afraid she would resist, they tricked her into coming here so they could do it.
Okay...very good.
A mix of anger and despair welled up within her, and she knew that if she were trapped here, she would be utterly unable to protect her child.
She struggled to suppress the urge to kill, her voice as cold as frost: "Untie the shackles, I'm going to ask Sister Chichi what she really means."
As soon as you speak of Cao Cao, he appears. Hu Chichi brings in the food and sees Su Yuxi awake, but she doesn't show any remorse on her face.
Instead, they were calm and composed, as if everything was under their control.
She placed the food on the bedside table.
"Sister Chichi, I only came here with you because I believed you. What do you mean by this?" Su Yuxi glared at her angrily with red eyes. No matter how close this sister was, she was still an outsider and had no right to interfere in whether she wanted to abort the child.
Hu Chichi sighed, reached out and smoothed her messy hair, her eyes filled with a peaceful smile: "Xixi, all you need to know is that your sister is doing this for your own good."
"Once all the medications are ready tomorrow, we'll obediently abort the child and then return to a normal life. Isn't that better?"
Su Yuxi's almond-shaped eyes widened, and she slapped her hand away without any mercy. A loud slap echoed in the air, showing that the force was considerable: "What right do you have to make decisions for me?"
Hu Chichi withdrew his hand, his smile vanished, and he adopted the demeanor of an elder, earnestly advising her: "Xixi, you can't make this decision. The baby will affect your judgment. Don't worry, it won't hurt much, it will be over in the blink of an eye."
"You will still be a child in the future."
"You only have one life. There's nothing wrong with your sister making the choice for you. Once you recover, you'll understand my good intentions."
Faced with someone who wanted to harm her, Su Yuxi was like a small beast driven to the brink of despair, baring her sharp teeth: "I won't fight, let me go."
She screamed and struggled, the chains on her ankles rattling loudly.
Hu Chichi was still somewhat wary of her, so he took a few steps back and shook his head: "Impossible."
After leaving those three words, she didn't say anything more and turned to leave.
Fu Huaijin stood to the side without saying a word, implicitly acquiescing to Hu Chichi's words.
Su Yu fiddled with the chain a couple of times, but couldn't break it no matter what she did, so she could only turn to Fu Huaijin for help.
"Fu Huaijin, please unlock these shackles for me. I want to go home. Please take me home."
Fu Huaijin looked at the girl in front of him with heartache, unable to bear seeing her suffer even the slightest grievance, but this matter concerned her life, what could he do?
He walked to the bedside and hugged the restless Su Yuxi, gently comforting her: "Xixi, be good, I'll take you home after tomorrow."
Seeing that he was unmoved, Su Yuxi's eyes turned sharp. She got out of his arms, pushed him away, and slapped him without saying a word: "This is also your child. Let me go. I will take you to find Azu. He will definitely have a way."
Fu Huaijin was somewhat dazed by the slap. When he heard the name "Azu", the image of that aloof, dignified, and cold man involuntarily came to mind.
A feeling of rejection welled up inside me.
"Xixi, there's no time left."
“We don’t want children. It will just be the two of us from now on. If you want money, I’ll give you that. If you want a house, I’ll give you that. I’ll give you whatever you want.”
Su Yuxi felt a surge of anger rising in her chest, her shoulders trembling uncontrollably. Her eyes were fixed on the man in front of her, as if he were her mortal enemy. She shouted at him with all her might, "I want you dead, okay?"
The moment these words were uttered, the room fell into a suffocating silence.
"Why are you making decisions for me? Let me go now, don't force me to hate you." Su Yuxi's words revealed her determination. She was truly heartbroken this time. Why did everyone think they were so self-righteous?
Fu Huaijin had anticipated this situation. Although he had prepared himself mentally beforehand, hearing the word "hate" still felt like a heavy blow to his heart, sending a chill down his spine.
He was scared; he didn't want to.
But....
"I...I can't open it. Hu Chichi said this is a demon-locking chain, and ordinary people can't open it."
Su Yuxi refused to believe it. Despite her large pregnant belly, she struggled to get up, climbed to the foot of the bed, and pulled hard on the chain. She didn't know the internal structure, and despite using all her strength, she couldn't break the chain.
Finally, exhausted, she had no choice but to give up. She slumped down on the corner of the bed like a deflated balloon, curling her body into a ball. She didn't eat or say anything, just silently shed tears.
She looked like a broken butterfly, so fragile that anyone who saw her would feel pity and a strong urge to protect her, let alone Fu Huaijin, who had always loved her deeply.
Her crying broke Fu Huaijin's heart.
