Chapter 308 Trading Seafood

When they arrived at the roadside, Grandpa Qin waved down three rickshaws. Grandpa Qin and Grandma Qin each took one, and then each took half of their luggage, while Wenxi and Qin Mi rode in the other rickshaw.

Qin Mi reached out and held Wen Xi's hand, saying gently, "Don't be nervous. My family likes you very much, otherwise they wouldn't have gone to such lengths to help you with this. Besides, they are very kind people."

Wen Xi nodded thoughtfully, "To raise a child like you, your elders must be extraordinary people."

It's no use them liking her, because she's a fake. Once the mission is over, she'll leave. They don't know why she's been staying here so long this time.

Could it be that her real target is Qin Mi?

But didn't she already save Qin Mi, who had fallen ill in the car?

Doesn't this count as completing the mission?

When the rickshaw stopped in front of a small Western-style house, Wen Xi stared in surprise, not expecting that Qin Mi's family was so well-off that they lived in a small Western-style house.

She still remembered the original text: during Lin Yiwan's university years, she used her winter and summer vacations to travel to many cities to buy houses, including a small villa in this city.

However, she will eventually have to leave this time and space, so even if she buys a small villa, she won't be able to have it. But when she goes back, she can consider buying two small villas in the future.

The large iron gate of the small villa was opened, and a middle-aged woman came out, took the luggage from Qin Mi's hands, and warmly invited everyone to come in.

Qin Mi explained in a low voice, "This is Wang Ma, the family's nanny. She tells others that she is a relative and has nowhere to go, so she lives with us."

Wen Xi nodded knowingly, "I understand."

Wang Ma carried the luggage to the room on the second floor and said to Qin Mi, "Young Master, Young Madam, this is your room. It has been prepared and you can move in directly."

“My name is Hao Liangliang. Wang Ma can just call me Liangliang. Don’t call me Young Mistress,” Wen Xi said.

Wang Ma nodded, "I understand, I would never say that outside."

"Wang Ma, you can go down now!" Qin Mi said.

Wang Ma nodded, then turned and went downstairs. Only Wen Xi and Qin Mi remained in the room. Qin Mi sat on the edge of the bed and began to unpack the things she had brought.

With only three days left, we definitely need to get this done as quickly as possible.

"Liangliang, I'll take you to get what you need tomorrow night," Qin Mi said in a low voice.

Wen Xi nodded knowingly, "I understand."

After a while, Wang Ma came over to call them downstairs for lunch. Grandma Qin said apologetically, "Liangliang, I'm sorry, Qin Mi's parents won't be back until tonight."

"Grandma Qin, it's alright." Wen Xi shook her head.

Qin Mi pulled out a chair and gestured for Wen Xi to sit down. Only then did Wen Xi notice the Qin family's meal: braised pork, braised fish, braised pork ribs, yam stewed with pork ribs, and the remaining dishes were stir-fried seasonal vegetables and seaweed and tofu soup.

Wen Xi was surprised that the Qin family had prepared such a lavish meal. She felt quite embarrassed. The more serious the Qin family was, the more guilty she felt, because her relationship with Qin Mi was fake, and she could only disappoint everyone.

"Liangliang, we don't know if these dishes will suit your taste. If there's anything you like or want to eat, just tell us, and Wang Ma will make it for you." Grandma Qin used clean chopsticks to put food on Wenxi's plate, and Wenxi's bowl quickly became piled high with food.

"Thank you, Grandma Qin. I'm not a picky eater; I like all of these things." Wen Xi picked up a piece of pork rib and ate it. The rib was sweet and sour, with a sweet taste.

Grandma Qin looked at Qin Mi and said, "Qin Mi, your holiday this time is too short. It can't be delayed. Your grandfather and I have already discussed it and decided to hold the wedding for you tomorrow. In the following two days, you can take Liangliang out for a good shopping trip and buy some things you need to take with you."

Qin Mi smiled happily, "Okay, Liangliang and I will follow Grandpa and Grandma's arrangements."

After dinner, Grandma Qin urged Wenxi and Qin Mi to go upstairs to rest, while she and Grandpa Qin arranged the wedding for tomorrow and notified relatives to come and attend.

Back in her room, Wen Xi turned to Qin Mi and asked, "Qin Mi, is your place relatively close to the sea?"

"Yes, is there something you need?" Qin Mi sat on the edge of the bed, supporting herself with her hands behind her back.

"I want to trade in some seafood. I've never eaten seafood before!" Wen Xi said with a look of longing.

“I happen to know someone in this fishing village. I’ll call him right now and ask him to help us buy some seafood, both fresh and dried, is that alright?” Qin Mi looked at Wen Xi, her eyes full of joy.

Wenxi has done so much for him and for them, and now he finally has a chance to do something for her.

"Tell him for me that I want as much as I need, the more the better, at least a thousand catties or more. I can exchange it for daily necessities," Wen Xi said with a bright smile.

Since it's rare to live so close to the sea, I naturally want to stock up on seafood, otherwise I might not have such a good opportunity again.

Qin Mi stood up abruptly, reached out and ruffled Wen Xi's hair, and said with a smile, "I guarantee I'll complete the mission."

Then she ran downstairs.

Wen Xi smiled helplessly. When she noticed that there was only one quilt on the bed, she quickly went to the wardrobe to find another quilt. She was relieved to see that there was another quilt inside.

She would leave once she completed her mission; she didn't want to get involved in any romantic entanglements here.

Even if she hadn't met He Chen'an, there would have been no possibility between her and Qin Mi. The two were in different times and spaces, and it was impossible for them to meet again in the future.

Wenxi knew that Grandpa Qin and Grandma Qin had a lot of things to do in the afternoon, so she didn't go downstairs to disturb them. Instead, she lay down to rest. Although it was a sleeper car, lying in the turbulent train carriage for dozens of hours was still uncomfortable.

When Qin Mi arrived at the room upstairs, Wen Xi was already asleep. Qin Mi sat beside her, resting his chin on his hands, and looked at Wen Xi intently.

-If only she weren't a goddess.

But if she wasn't a goddess, then I wouldn't have had the chance to meet her, and I might have died that night. How would I have known that there were so many delicious foods in the world?

If she weren't a goddess, who knows how much longer we would have to suffer, how many people would have given up and lost hope...

Qin Mi felt content to have gotten married like this once in her life.

That evening, Qin's parents returned. They were not ordinary people, nor were they people that ordinary people could come into contact with.

Wenxi and Qin Mi carried their things downstairs. Qin Mi called out, "Mom and Dad, this is Liangliang, your daughter-in-law."

Wen Xi glared at Qin Mi embarrassedly, then smiled and said, "Uncle Qin, Aunt Qin, I'm Hao Liangliang, you can just call me Liangliang."
