The Red Guards came over and said, "Stop!"
Qiao Shu immediately lowered his head and pretended not to hear.
The Red Guards walked towards her, and Qiao Shu felt panicky.
Suddenly a man rushed out from the side, grabbed her and ran out. Qiao Shu looked at him blankly, her brain didn't react, she just followed him.
The two ran a long way before the man stopped. He grabbed her arm with some strength.
Qiao Shu looked back and found that the group of Red Guards had not caught up with her, so she breathed a sigh of relief.
The man also let her go and asked her, "Why don't you run?"
Fu Jingyu looked at her, his tone full of anger and his eyes gleaming with forbearance.
Qiao Shu pursed his lips and said nothing.
Fu Jingyu asked again: "Why don't you run?"
Qiao Shu still didn't speak. He lowered his eyes and thought for a while before looking up at him.
She looked him over, her eyes landing on the scar on his right ankle, "Are you hurt?"
His right ankle was wrapped in gauze, and blood stains could be vaguely seen.
Qiao Shu reached out and touched his ankle, which felt slightly cold, like ice.
Fu Jingyu watched her actions with a cold expression.
Qiao Shu withdrew his hand and asked in a low voice: "When did you get hurt?"
Fu Jingyu turned around and planned to leave without answering her.
But Qiao Shu called out to him: "Wait!"
Fu Jingyu stopped and looked at her sideways.
Qiao Shu stared at his legs for a while and said, "Can I take a look?"
Fu Jingyu was silent.
Qiao Shu asked again: "Can you show it to me?"
He remained silent.
Qiao Shu sighed and whispered, "If it's inconvenient, forget it."
There wasn't much of a relationship between them now, so it didn't matter if he didn't show it to her.
"It's been bandaged."
Fu Jingyu behind him said in a low voice.
Qiao Shu looked up at him.
Fu Jingyu looked ahead, didn't look at her, and continued walking.
He walked quickly, seemingly unwilling to linger with her any longer.
Qiao Shu stood there for a long time, watching his disappearing back.
She lowered her head, clenched her fists, and her nails dug deep into her flesh. The pain made her slightly sober.
Fu Jingyu has really changed.
He has become very different from before.
She once thought that although he was quiet, he was considerate. But today, she finally understood what it felt like to be ignored and neglected by him.
Her heart suddenly felt empty.
Qiao Shu gritted his teeth, turned and left, not thinking about him anymore.
......
After Fu Jingyu left Qiao Shu, he looked down at the wound on his ankle.
This happened yesterday when he went hunting in the mountains and encountered a leopard. The leopard was agile and he was injured without paying attention.
But fortunately, he won in the final desperate fight.
I hunted a leopard today and wanted to sell it on the black market for some money, and I happened to run into her.
Fu Jingyu covered his chest tightly.
He couldn't imagine what would happen to Qiao Shu if she was caught by the Red Guards. She was so beautiful.
He couldn't even imagine it.
The wound on his ankle was quite severe, but he didn't like others touching him, and was afraid that Grandma and Xiaohua would worry, so he just bandaged it casually.
Fu Jingyu's face was a little pale. He looked up at the sun. The weather was clear and his mood gradually calmed down.
Looking at the little money he made from selling the leopard today, if he had income every day, he might be able to...
