I have no recollection of it.
Mu and Qing had no recollection of Huanren or anything like that.
"Stop your ring." Mu and Qing gritted their teeth as they saw the three newcomers also approaching the ring.
The boy lowered his head in disappointment: "You really don't remember me. I wasn't very noticeable. Why did we stop? They wanted to die. Wouldn't it be better if I let them die happily?"
Mu Heqing sneered: "What are you talking about? Whether they want to die or not is not up to you to decide."
Her hand, which was gripping the student's, was covered in cold sweat; she was about to lose control.
Huanren said, "Look, they are desperate because they are sick, because they are bullied, because they have no hope of living, so they all want to die. What's wrong with letting them have happiness before they die?"
Mu Heqing looked at Uncle Hai, whom she was holding onto; his wife was anxiously looking for him upstairs. She then looked at the student; she was so young and still had hope.
She believed more that they were simply going through a difficult time in their lives, rather than genuinely seeking death.
"How long can you hold them back? Can you hold onto everyone?" Huanren took another step closer to Mu and Qing and said, "Look at me, Heqing. It doesn't matter if you don't remember me, now you remember me, don't you? I really didn't expect to see you here, what a coincidence."
Huanren seemed very happy, but Mu and Qing were too exhausted to speak. She had only one thought: to kill Huanren.
One by one, they appeared before her, disrupting her normal life. Now, a guy she didn't even know appeared and killed someone right in front of her.
She can't escape even if she wants to. Why is it so hard to live a normal life?
Mu Heqing was extremely annoyed. She gritted her teeth and remained silent, her brain lacking oxygen, making Huanren's face blurry.
"Are you waiting for instructions? This is my territory, he can't get in."
The ring made of flesh and blood spun around once, and one of the three newcomers was about to approach the ring.
A white dot appeared in Mu and Qing's sight.
With her last ounce of strength, she pulled away Uncle Hai's and the student's hands, and said, "Kill him, Shi."
"What?" Huanren was stunned. Before he could turn around, a flawless hand, stained with his blood, pierced through his chest. Then the hand withdrew and struck again.
Huanren's artery was torn, and his blood splattered all over Mu and Qing's light green shirt.
Huanren looked down at his chest and said haltingly, "Ah, Heqing, are you going to... kill us all... again, just like before?"
Huanren still had a smile on his face as he collapsed to the ground.
Looking at Huan Ren's body lying on the ground, Mu and Qing had a vague recollection of him; there seemed to be such a guy in Class 4 back in high school.
Li Shi approached Mu Heqing and asked, "Heqing, why are you sweating so much?"
Mu Heqing slowly moved to a pillar, leaned against it, and breathed heavily.
What just happened was too much of a shock for her.
She stared blankly at Huanren's body on the ground.
"Who is this guy?" Li Shi asked. "His shielding field is quite powerful. I couldn't get in even with someone else. I had to make that person wish to live before we could get in."
Mu Heqing said in a hoarse voice, "He said his name is Huanren, and he was a classmate in Class 4 before."
"Is there such a person? I don't remember." Li Shi asked in confusion.
"It's not important anymore, Shi. Please help me send these people back. Tell this man's wife that I have something urgent to attend to at work, and I'll visit them another time."
After Huanren died, all the people who had been drawn to him by his ring fainted.
Mu and Qing could only do this much; the rest was up to the fate of these people, something she couldn't easily interfere with.
"And what about you?"
"I'm going to change my clothes." Mu Heqing looked at the blood-stained clothes on his body.
After Li Shi left with one of them, Mu Heqing stood up. Her legs felt weak, her hair was stuck to her face, her lips were pale, and Huan Ren's words kept echoing in her mind.
He Qing, are you going to kill us all again, just like before?
But she wondered, what's the point?
Aren't they all still alive?
…………
Orthopedic ward of Gyeongseong Dongjeon Hospital.
Gao Zhou had checked his shadow for the thirtieth time. Once he was sure it was normal, he lay back down on the bed. A minute later, he got up again to check his shadow.
This happened repeatedly, until he was exhausted and collapsed in his hospital bed.
"Is this a new type of rehabilitation exercise?" A person walked into the ward. The person was strikingly handsome, had a friendly smile, and was carrying a box in his hand.
Gao Zhou exclaimed happily, "Jiang Mu! My good brother, you're here!"
Jiang Mu handed him the box and said, "These are freshly baked buns from Wangyue Pavilion. If I didn't have a good relationship with their owner, they wouldn't have given you any to take away."
"I know, I know." Gao Zhou took the steamed bun from Jiang Mu's hand. "Who doesn't know that you, President Jiang, have connections all over the world?"
Gao Zhou opened the box, picked up a round and soft bun, stuffed it into his mouth, and immediately burst into tears. This was the taste of life.
"Is it really necessary? It's not like it's the first time you've eaten their steamed buns." Jiang Mu found it a little funny.
“You don’t know, I just…” Gao Zhou suddenly remembered Mu Heqing’s instructions before he left.
This is something I shouldn't just talk about casually.
“Just now, someone from Guihui Group came to see me and asked me about work. Oh right, Guihui, isn’t that Jiang Kaicheng’s mother’s company? I had forgotten that you two had this connection.” Gao Zhou suddenly remembered.
"Is your current commission related to Guihui?"
“It’s just something that happened to their employees.” Gao Zhou mumbled through a steamed bun. “Actually, it’s nothing much. You were the regional president for their Southwest region for three years, so you know their group better than I do.”
“It’s not like that anymore, it’s meaningless. I can’t understand the development of Guihui Group in the past few years. According to my prediction, its development should not be so rapid.” Jiang Mu casually pulled up a chair and sat down.
"Yes, you're so busy getting ready to come see me at the hospital, is it really necessary to dress like this?" Gao Zhou said sourly.
Jiang Mu wore a black silk shirt underneath a dark gray casual suit, and on his wrist was his favorite pure black watch, with tiny diamonds on the dial instead of numbers.
"Really? Just everyday outfits."
"I'm not talking to you anymore, you should go. Dressed like that, be careful your sister-in-law confesses to you again, and then you'll only be able to make headlines by finding out her three boyfriends."
Jiang Mu smiled casually: "The gossip editors in Qingcheng all depend on me for their livelihood. By the way, I know the director here very well, and I've had them arrange a good caregiver for you. If you're not satisfied, I'll have them change you. Your leg isn't very convenient either."
"I was wondering why everyone here was suddenly so nice to me, practically praising me to the skies. I knew you were pulling strings behind the scenes." Gao Zhou waved him away, "Go on, this is a hospital, what are you doing here?"
Jiang Mu stood up and suddenly asked a question: "Tell me, how can I win back people's first impression of me?"
Gao Zhou was incredulous: "Who could have a bad first impression of you? Even the pickiest person would have nothing to say to you."
"nothing."
Jiang Mu said goodbye to Gao Zhou and had just stepped out of the ward when a man in a white coat quickly approached him. The man said, "Jiang Mu! Oh, it's been a long time. I heard from the nurses that you were here, so I came to see you."
"Dean Li is as dashing as ever," Jiang Mu greeted with a smile.
"I'm old, I'm old, hahaha. Back then, my hospital was in a public relations crisis. If it weren't for you, we would be universally reviled by everyone now," said Dean Li.
“That’s all in the past. Now my friend will have to rely on Dean Li to take care of him.”
"Leave it to me. How could I not take care of this for you?"
"Then I'll thank the dean on behalf of my friend."
Dean Li's smiling face was blocked by the elevator doors, and the red indicator lights inside the elevator kept changing until it stopped at B2.
Jiang Mu stepped out of the elevator and walked towards his car; this hospital had a designated parking space for him.
He didn't want to go back to the Jiang family; he had other places to stay in Qingcheng.
There weren't many cars in the underground parking garage, and even fewer people; there wasn't a single person near his car.
When no one was around, his smile disappeared, and he appeared somewhat indifferent.
Just as he was about to open the car door, he saw a figure next to a car.
He shouldn't care, but he felt that the person looked somewhat familiar.
He approached the man and was startled; the person he had been trying to contact had suddenly appeared before him.
"Mu Heqing?" Jiang Mu's face lit up with his usual smile.
He suddenly felt relieved that his outfit today was decent, and his impression score would definitely rise sharply.
As he approached, he couldn't help but wonder what expression Mu Heqing would have on his face when he saw him. Would it be an expression of wanting to refuse him but having no reason to refuse, or would he be inwardly complaining that Mu Heqing was pretending to be serious on the surface?
That's really interesting.
This time, I must salvage the impression.
But he never expected to see this scene.
That once vibrant face was now deathly pale, her hair looked as if it had just been pulled from the water, and most importantly, half of her light green top was covered in red splatter marks.
Is it paint, or something else?
Mu and Qing looked like they had just escaped from a murder scene.
Jiang Mu's mouth was dry. The garage was very quiet. He had been too far away to see clearly. Now, all he could hear was the sound of his heart pounding wildly.
"Mu Heqing?" Jiang Mu's smile froze on his face; he didn't know what expression to make when he looked at her.
Mu Heqing glanced weakly at Jiang Mu. She saw him, but she was too tired and her brain couldn't function. Her vision went black, and she collapsed to the ground.
Jiang Mu was startled and quickly picked up Mu Heqing. He was now certain that what was on her was blood.
He hesitated as he looked at Mu Heqing's face, which was originally clean but now had a little blood on it, and his lips were dry and bloodless.
What exactly happened?
Jiang Mu touched Mu Heqing's shirt, and his fingertips were stained with a little blood.
He remembered that he had a clean spare shirt in his car.
