Chapter 456 Logging into G-581
The landing ship broke through the thin, yellowish atmosphere that G-581 was in.
Amidst the violent jolting, Thor landed hard on his backside on the metal floor, his massive hammer clanging loudly.
"Can't you guys drive a little more steadily?" he complained loudly, rubbing his backside.
Marcus leaned gracefully against the nearby support bar, his body without a single wrinkle. He glanced at Thor and a smile played on his lips.
"Perhaps you should lose some weight, barbarian."
"What did you say?!"
"Silence!" Cheng Gan shouted, her eyes fixed on the porthole.
As the landing ship descended, the clouds parted, and the view of the ground brought silence to everyone inside the ship.
It was neither the barren Gobi Desert as expected, nor the desolate plains filled with meteorite craters.
What comes into view is a vast, carpet-like plain with an unusual blue-green hue.
On the plain, towering fungi, hundreds of meters high, stand majestically. Their enormous caps, like open canopies, shimmer with iridescent fluorescence. A rich, pungent odor, reminiscent of a mixture of ozone and fresh grass, permeates the air.
"boom!"
The landing ship landed smoothly on a relatively flat carpet of fungi, the soft ground causing the ship to sink slightly.
The hatch opened.
A damp, warm air, mixed with spores and a peculiar fragrance, wafted towards me.
“This…” A young “Azure Dragon” special forces member stared in shock at everything before him: “The environmental index here… is actually so good!”
"Although the concentration of spiritual energy in the air is not high, it is exceptionally pure!" Lu Changfeng took a deep breath, and a look of surprise appeared on his aged face.
"Didn't that alien captain say this was a barren resource planet? This isn't barren at all!" Cheng Gan frowned.
"Hahahaha! Who cares! I love this place! Give it to me! Give it to me! I want this planet!"
Thor was the first to jump out of the hatch, his arms outstretched as if to embrace this primeval world: "This is what adventure is! This is what conquest is!"
Zhou Jue was the last to step out of the landing ship. Her gaze did not fall on the strange giant fungi, but instead she looked down at the Kunlun Instrument on her wrist.
On the screen, lines of data were being refreshed rapidly.
The gravity is 1.2 times that of Earth.
[Oxygen content 28%, safe to breathe directly.]
More than 300 unknown microorganisms were detected...
"Everyone, form groups of three and conduct exploration in a fan shape." Zhou Jue's voice interrupted everyone's exclamations.
"Remember, our primary task is exploration, not a picnic."
"Any discovery must be reported immediately."
Her calm tone brought everyone back from their initial shock, and they quickly followed instructions, forming combat teams and cautiously entering the unfamiliar fungal jungle.
"Elder Lu, you'll be in my group," Cheng Gan called out.
Thor and Marcus, like two wild beasts released from their cages, were unwilling to yield to each other. Each led a group of men and chose two opposite directions, plunging headlong into the depths of the dense forest.
"Roar! I'm the first person to find the treasure!"
"Hmph, simple-minded barbarian."
Zhou Jue didn't move. She just stood quietly beside the landing ship, watching the dots representing each squad on the Kunlun Instrument spread across the map like drops of ink in water.
Less than ten minutes.
A joyful shout rang out over the communication channel.
"Report! Report! I've found something here!"
"Coordinates are at 3 o'clock, approximately 5 kilometers from the landing point!"
The voice came from a student at Kunlun Academy.
"Let's go take a look!" Cheng Gan immediately ordered.
When Zhou Jue, Cheng Gan, and the others arrived, they found the student squatting in front of a half-person-high blue rock, his face filled with uncontrollable excitement.
Embedded in the crevices of the rocks are fist-sized crystals that shimmer with a pale blue light.
A pure surge of lightning energy emanated from the crystal.
“This is…” Lu Changfeng stepped forward, carefully broke off a piece of crystal from the rock, and felt it in his palm.
His breathing suddenly became rapid.
"High-quality... Thunder Soul Stone!"
"The purity of this piece is comparable to that of a top-grade spirit stone that can only be produced once every hundred years!"
The entire scene fell silent instantly, and everyone stared at the stone in Lu Changfeng's hand with the eyes of someone looking at a priceless treasure.
Immediately afterwards, Saul's signature loud voice boomed over the communication channel.
"Hahaha! Look what I found!"
The light screen lit up, and Thor's image appeared before everyone.
He was standing under a huge waterfall. Behind him, the entire mountain wall was exposed, covered with countless Thunder Soul Stones that shimmered with blue light. There were so many of them that they formed a mine!
"These are all mine! My points!!" Thor was so excited he danced around.
“Idiot,” Marcus’s disdainful voice followed.
His image also popped up, with a deep cave in the background. On the cave walls, instead of Thunderstone, there was a rarer mineral that looked like clusters of golden crystals.
“‘Crystal of Helios’, a crystallization of pure light-attribute divine power.” Marcus picked up a piece and waved it at the camera: “Compared to your violent stones, this is the true ‘gift of the gods’.”
“This planet… is a treasure trove!” Cheng Gan murmured to herself, her eyes shining brightly.
As soon as Cheng Gan finished speaking, the communication channel erupted like a pot boiling over, with one discovery report after another ringing out in rapid succession.
"Report! Team Seven has discovered a large vein of 'star-patterned steel' ore! Extremely high purity!"
"Team Nine has discovered a 'Ghost Crystal'! My God, the energy reaction here is even stronger than the standard sample in the textbook!"
"Coordinates... Zzz... We've discovered a river... entirely composed of liquid psionic energy!"
Rare resources that would cause a frenzy in the outside world were now being discovered one after another by the exploration team, like roadside weeds. The entire communication channel was filled with the team members' barely suppressed excitement and heavy breathing.
"We've won...we've won!" a young team member murmured, almost unable to believe his eyes.
But an even bigger surprise was yet to come.
"Command Center! Team Three has made a major discovery!" A slightly trembling voice came through: "We've found...an orchard!"
The screen shifts, revealing a dark, fungal forest where a strange, coral-like tree-like fungus grows. At the tips of these "trees" grow fruits the size of a baby's fist, radiating a soft white light. They float silently in mid-air, seemingly possessing their own life.
"We conducted preliminary tests on the fruit...it's non-toxic and contains incredibly pure life energy!"
In the video, a daring team member, protected by his companion, picks a pea and carefully takes a bite.
The next second, his eyes widened suddenly, and a visible white wave of energy erupted from his body. His combat suit bulged from the psionic energy, and a shallow wound left in the battle before healed at an astonishing speed!
"My God... my spiritual power... my spiritual power bottleneck... it's loosened!" the team member shouted with ecstasy.
"A spiritual fruit! A natural spiritual fruit that can directly enhance cultivation!" Lu Changfeng exclaimed in surprise. This old man, who was used to seeing rare treasures, was so excited that his beard was trembling.
At this point, everyone went completely crazy!
While ores and materials are precious, they are ultimately external things. But these rare and precious materials that can directly enhance one's personal strength are the ultimate temptation that no cultivator can resist!
"Hahahaha! Treasure! Spirit Fruit! Everything on this planet is mine!" Thor's roar rang out again. He had already abandoned the mineral veins and was running wildly toward the Spirit Fruit.
"A bunch of country bumpkins." Marcus said disdainfully, but his squad had already turned around, their eyes gleaming with the same burning desire.
Watching her teammates on the screen, some almost losing their composure in their ecstasy, Cheng Gan was also deeply moved. She clenched her fists, trying to calm herself. The value of this planet far exceeded everyone's imagination. This wasn't some barren resource planet; it was clearly an unexplored, mythical treasure trove! With these resources, human civilization would experience an explosive leap forward!
