Chapter 7 Wake up!

Chapter 7 Wake up!

Doctor Li finally breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that the people from Anfeng Village had left.

He looked at Meng Mingshu, but saw her standing there in a daze, as if she had lost her soul, and was dazed and stupid.

Doctor Li sighed and patted Meng Mingshu on the shoulder.

"Let's go and take a look."

Seeing them, the children on the opposite side became obviously alert, like a cat with its fur standing on end.

When Meng Mingshu approached, they all huddled together.

My daughter was also held in the arms of one of the children and shrank even more into the corner.

"No, don't kill us, we will be good."

Meng Mingshu tried her best to slow down her tone and hold back her tears:

"We are doctors. We were also captured and brought to Anfeng Village today. We are here to treat patients."

"Really?"

Meng Mingshu choked up and nodded, holding out her hand: "Can you let me see her?"

The little girl hesitated for just a second before handing Tuan'er to Meng Mingshu.

"Please save her. She is very sick and has not woken up yet."

Meng Mingshu held her daughter in her arms, tears streaming down her face.

She and her daughter had not seen each other for more than three months, but for two lifetimes.

The girl who seemed fair, plump, cute and lively to the extreme is now skinny and as light as cotton when held in my arms.

The chubby little arms and legs are no longer there.

"Tuan'er, Tuan'er."

Meng Mingshu reached out her trembling hand to check her daughter's breath, and she was still breathing.

She felt both relieved and panicked.

I'm glad my daughter is still alive.

The panic was that my daughter had a high fever.

"She has a severe fever..."

Doctor Li hurried forward to take Tuan'er's pulse and lifted his eyelids, his expression becoming more and more serious.

Meng Mingshu was also extremely nervous and didn't dare to breathe. She was afraid that Dr. Li would say something she couldn't accept.

"The child can still be saved."

Before Meng Mingshu could calm down, Doctor Li continued:

"But she didn't have a cold; she was poisoned. The persistent high fever was also caused by the poison."

If it's a cold, Doctor Li can treat it right now.

"Poisoned?"

Meng Mingshu couldn't believe it.

Then she realized that the farmer must not be telling the truth.

It is impossible for Yihonglou and the human traffickers to poison the little girl they bought, so the only one left is the farmer.

Perhaps initially, they wanted to kill their daughter, but later realized they could sell her for money.

"Doctor Li!"

Meng Mingshu grabbed Doctor Li and asked, "Can this poison be cured?"

"Do you have any idea?"

They only brought medicine for treating colds.

Doctor Li nodded:

"I can cure this poison, but I don't have any herbs to cure it, and it's impossible for Anfeng Village to have any."

"So we have to go down the mountain tonight. This child can only hold on for two days at most. She can't wait."

Meng Mingshu looked at her unconscious daughter, tears welling up in her eyes, and she made a decision in her heart: "Okay, we will leave tonight."

"Please, can you take us with you? We want to go home too..."

Facing those pitiful and ignorant eyes, Doctor Li softened his heart.

These children were also captured by Anfeng Village, and their parents at home were extremely anxious and sad.

Doctor Li made the decision.

"We are planning to poison you. Can anyone get close to the well in Anfeng Village?"

One of the older children raised his hand. He looked to be about ten years old.

He whispered, "I can."

"I was the oldest among them, and they asked me to fetch water every day."

Meng Mingshu and Doctor Li looked at each other and discussed with the child.

Doctor Li handed the poison to the child and said, "This packet of powder is placed in the well, and this packet is placed in the kitchen water tank. Can you do it?"

The little boy nodded and said, "Yes! The people who carry water with me deliberately bully me because I am the one who carries water for the kitchen every day."

Doctor Li nodded: "Okay."

Seeing Meng Mingshu hugging her daughter tightly and looking uneasy, Doctor Li spoke to comfort her:

"It takes almost half an hour for this poison to take effect after it enters the body."

"Half an hour is enough for everyone in Anfeng Village to finish their meal. No one will be left out, and these people will not be able to escape."

"Our people will be here to pick them up by then. If there are any innocent people there, I'll have the antidote ready."

Meng Mingshu nodded blankly. At this moment, her whole heart was on her daughter.

"I'll give her an acupuncture."

Doctor Li is a very good doctor. Not long after the acupuncture, Meng Mingshu felt that Tuan'er's body temperature seemed to be slowly dropping.

Doctor Li wiped the sweat from his forehead. He had been giving the acupuncture for almost an hour and a half.

"He should be able to wake up soon, but I've only temporarily suppressed the poison, so he only seems to be getting better."

Doctor Li looked worried. "But this is just an illusion. Without an antidote, the child will still die in two days."

Meng Mingshu's heart sank and she hugged Tuan'er tighter.

She had already suffered the pain of losing her daughter in her previous life.

In this life, she absolutely cannot lose her daughter again.

"Li, Doctor Li, she seems to be waking up?"

Meng Mingshu's voice was trembling.

Doctor Li comforted her: "She's about to wake up. I'll get some water. Call her name and don't let her fall into a coma again."

Meng Mingshu nodded vigorously: "Okay, okay."

"Tuan'er."

"Tuan'er, mother was wrong."

"As long as you can wake up, as long as you can live, mother doesn't need anything."

She doesn't even need this life.

"Tuan'er?"

Meng Mingshu felt the movement in her arms. She lowered her head and saw Tuan'er slowly waking up.

The little girl raised her hands, rubbed her eyes, and opened them again.

After repeating this several times, she seemed to be sure that she was not dreaming.

"Tuan'er."

Meng Mingshu finally saw her living daughter and she burst into tears.

The little girl in front of me was dark and thin, no longer the white ball she was more than three months ago.

She may not be cute enough in the eyes of outsiders, but to Meng Mingshu she is a rare treasure.

Meng Mingshu hugged Tuan'er in her arms.

"Mother!"

The little girl also hugged Meng Mingshu tightly and sobbed in her arms.

Then Tuan'er seemed to remember something and she began to struggle.

"Wow! I hate mother!"

"Mother doesn't want Tuan'er, and Tuan'er doesn't want Mother either!"

"Mother is bad. I will never forgive her again."

Meng Mingshu quickly hugged Tuan'er tightly in her arms.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

"I don't want you to hug me, I don't want you, you are a bad person!"

"You go!"

Tuan'er's rejection was so obvious that Meng Mingshu felt heartbroken.

"Okay, mother won't... won't hold you."

The little girl in his arms was too light and her face was too pale.

Meng Mingshu was afraid of irritating her and causing her death by accident.

"Let me do it."

Doctor Li also noticed the child's rejection and quickly stood in front of Meng Mingshu.

Doctor Li is old, with a kind face, and his kindness is very obvious.

He comforted Tuan'er very carefully, gave her acupuncture and wiped her sweat.

Tuan'er is very sensitive to the likes and dislikes of strangers.

It didn't take long for Doctor Li to win Tuan'er's trust.

Meng Mingshu heard her weak voice and asked Doctor Li.

"Grandpa Li, will you sell Tuan'er too?"

"Sell?"

Doctor Li frowned.

Meng Mingshu's gaze also fell on the little dumpling.

"Of course not."

"Has anyone sold dumplings?"

Tuan'er nodded heavily, puffed up her cheeks, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"Mother sold Tuan'er..."

Meng Mingshu shook her head violently and was about to explain that she did not sell her when Doctor Li spoke.

"Who told Tuan'er that your mother sold you out?"

Tuan'er whispered seriously:

"Mrs. Wu said that they gave mother money, and mother sold me to them..."

"From now on, Tuan'er will be their child and will never see his mother and father again."

"If Tuan'er doesn't obey, they will beat him to death... Even if he dies, mother won't care about him."

As the little girl spoke, tears rolled down her cheeks, and she was obviously very sad.

Meng Mingshu held back her tears, her heart aching.
