Chapter 26 "I'm waiting for you to kill me."

He slightly parted his lips, gazing at the beautiful blush at the corner of Huaiyue's eyes, his gaze slowly moving downwards.

His breath quickened as he reached for her slightly parted lower lip.

He kissed her again eagerly, their breaths mingling, creating an ambiguous atmosphere.

Song's voice was slightly deep, and his eyes were dark. He made a promise, word by word, in a muffled and slow tone:

"Chu Huaixu, I will never let you leave again, unless I die."

Huaiyue's eyes were already filled with deep emotions, but as Song Ting finished speaking, his eyes suddenly turned cold.

All the surging desires subsided in that instant. Huaiyue broke free from Song Ting's embrace and pushed the man away.

He stared quietly into Song Ting's eyes, his face cold and indifferent, but the hatred in his eyes was so intense it was almost overflowing.

He stared at Song Ting for a long time, and Song Ting remained motionless as he stared at her.

After an unknown amount of time, Huaiyue suddenly laughed, her laughter filled with undisguised malice:

I will kill you with my own hands sooner or later.

“Song Ting.”

Huaiyue had said more than once that she wanted to kill him and that she wanted him to die, but Song Ting either remained silent or said that he couldn't die yet.

This time, however, she laughed along, gently squeezing Huaiyue's wrist bone, her fingertips lightly caressing the skin on the inside of his wrist in an intimate gesture.

“Fine, I’ll wait for you to kill me. But before that,” Song Ting raised her hand and kissed the spot she had touched, “soak your feet first. After a long journey, a foot soak will help you sleep better.”

Huaiyue withdrew her hand and snorted.

Song Ting turned and left the room, but he moved quickly and soon returned with a wooden bucket full of hot water and a bowl of sweet soup in his other hand.

Huaiyue looked at him with amusement: "When did you, Commander, fall so low that you have to do these trivial things yourself?"

Song Ting first put down the sweet soup, then carried the wooden bucket to the bedside.

He took Huaiyue's foot and removed her other shoe, then said demurely, "Anything concerning you is no small matter."

"Your words are becoming increasingly sharp, sir. I'm sure those two in the palace find them very appealing."

Song remained silent this time, seemingly acquiescing.

For some reason, Huaiyue became irritable again and kicked Song Ting with some force:

"I am of lowly status and do not deserve to be served like this by the Commander. Please find someone else."

"Who do you want to replace?" Song Ting's face turned cold.

Huaiyue seemed completely oblivious to his change in expression, and casually said:

"I think the two guards around you are quite good, my lord. One of them is called Xiao Wu, right?"

Song Ting forced his feet into the water, his voice low and menacing: "They're not here."

"Hmm?" Huaiyue asked with interest, "Who is this dog going to bite this time, sir?"

Song Ting gently massaged the soles of his feet: "Bite bad people."

Huaiyue scoffed lightly, not believing a single word.

"Help! Help!... Murder!"

The dark figure behind her pressed closer and closer. Hua Jiao was running too fast and twisted her ankle. She stumbled and fell forward. She tried to get up but had no strength left.

There were hardly any survivors left in the entire Drunken Spring Pavilion; behind Hua Jiao lay a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

The two men in black had caught up and were now drawing their long knives.

Hua Jiao knew she was doomed and couldn't escape, but she didn't want to die, and she didn't know who she had offended. She got up and knelt before the two men in black, begging for mercy loudly:

"Spare us, gentlemen! What do you want? Money?"

"I have money, I'll give you money, I just beg you two to spare my life... Ahhhhhh..."

Unfortunately, before she could finish speaking, a long whip lashed out at her face, striking her left eye and blinding her instantly.

The excruciating pain nearly made Hua Jiao faint, but the long whip didn't stop; it continued to lash Hua Jiao's body again and again.

Hua Jiao rolled on the ground in agony, trying to escape the torture.

But the man in black was clearly used to doing this kind of thing, and his strikes were both precise and ruthless.

Each strike landed precisely on a spot that hadn't been hit before, tearing away a layer of flesh as it left, until Hua Jiao's skin was torn and bleeding.

Even her pleas for mercy gradually weakened, and she looked like she was about to faint from the pain.

The two men in black, however, did not let her faint. They pierced her temple with a silver needle, forcibly waking Hua Jiao up.

The latter could no longer even beg for mercy, and the whip finally stopped in his blurred vision.

Before Hua Jiao could catch her breath, another man in black stepped forward, revealed a long stick behind him, and swung it down at Hua Jiao!

The pain of a whip is excruciating, like skin and flesh being torn apart, while the pain of a wooden stick striking down is so intense it feels like bones are about to shatter.

Hua Jiao's eyes were glazed and unfocused, and she was breathing intermittently.

She struggled to move her pale, bloodless lips, and the light in her eyes gradually dimmed.

At this moment, she no longer hoped to live; she only wanted to know when this torment would end.

The man in black with the whip squatted down in front of her and inserted the silver needle into her temple again.

Hua Jiao's scattered mind was forcibly pulled back, leaving her truly in a state of being unable to live or die.

Hua Jiao has been running the Zui Chun Lou brothel for decades, welcoming and seeing off countless high-ranking officials and nobles every day, yet she still can't figure out who she has offended.

With a last gasp, she managed to speak: "My lords, even in death I wish to die knowing the truth. Please tell me, which heroes are you..."

The man in black grabbed her hair. His dimples made him look much younger than he was, but his eyes were cold and bloodthirsty. Hua Jiao was terrified by his gaze.

"You don't need to know who we are. Just know that you've offended someone you shouldn't have, and the King of Hell is sending you on your way."

Xiao Wu smiled and grabbed Hua Jiao's shoulder, twisting it forcefully. The bone beneath his palm shattered instantly, and Hua Jiao was in so much pain that she couldn't even scream.

Xiao Wu's palm continued to inch downwards, pinching down little by little.

Wherever his palm touched, bones shattered.

Such torment was worse than death. Hua Jiao bit her tongue with all her might, wanting nothing more than to die and be done with it all.

Qi Zhou discovered her intention, and the man's slender fingers quickly grabbed Hua Jiao's chin and abruptly dislocated it.

Xiao Wu exchanged a glance with him, then continued to lower his hand.

In the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, he slowly crushed all the bones in the woman's body into powder.

Hua Jiao, however, was still alive, making hoarse sounds in her throat as she stared in terror at the two men in black.

"Alright, stop playing around, let's go," Qi Zhou said.

Xiao Wu then let go, stood up, glanced at Qi Zhou with some resentment, and said, "I was clearly carrying out the master's orders."

grown ups……

Hua Jiao's pupils trembled, and a guess vaguely formed in her heart.

Xiao Wu had already taken out a tinderbox and easily tossed it behind him.
