"Awoo~"
The tiger cubs were having a great time playing.
Their voices reached Lin Feng.
Lin Feng didn't pay attention at first, thinking that Little Milk Bean and the others were just being naughty and trying to attract attention.
"Kids, stop fooling around, I don't have time to play with you right now!" he said without turning his head, still discussing the current situation with Captain Yao and the others.
The little milk bean cried out even more enthusiastically, and even tried to nudge Lin Feng's legs with its head, pulling him into the bushes.
Lin Feng prepared to put the little guys into his bag first, to stop them from making any more trouble!
"You rascal..." Lin Feng lowered his head helplessly, about to scold Little Milk Bean, but suddenly froze.
A small, dusty figure hid in the grass, looking at him timidly.
It was a wolf cub, smaller than a little milk bean, furry, with its eyes darting around in fear.
"This is..."
The wolf cub seemed very shy. When it saw Lin Feng staring at it, it shrank back and hid deeper into the grass.
He tried to hide himself.
But the scent of the person in front of him was definitely the one he was looking for.
Seeing this, Lin Feng immediately softened his movements and slowly walked towards the wolf cub.
"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, I'm not a bad person," he said softly, trying to comfort the little one.
With the natural forest breeze, the small animals have a natural sense of closeness.
The wolf cub seemed to understand his words, and slowly poked its head out of the grass, its eyes curiously sizing up Lin Feng.
Lin Feng carefully reached out and gently stroked the wolf cub's head.
The wolf cub's fur is soft and smooth, and feels very comfortable to touch.
The wolf cub let out a weak cry.
"Ooh~"
She seemed to really enjoy Lin Feng's caresses.
The wolf cub looked very weak, and its body was trembling slightly.
"Are you hungry?" he guessed.
She gently licked Lin Feng's fingers.
He pulled a roasted meat patty from his backpack, broke it into small pieces, and offered it to the wolf cub's mouth.
Without hesitation, the wolf cub opened its mouth and swallowed the meat pie.
After finishing one piece, it stared longingly at Lin Feng, as if it still wasn't full.
Lin Feng fed the wolf cub a few more meat patties until it couldn't eat anymore, then he stopped.
After eating and drinking its fill, it was in much better spirits and nuzzled affectionately against Lin Feng's leg.
"Little one, I have something to do and can't play with you anymore." He patted the wolf cub's head and prepared to get up and leave.
Unexpectedly, the wolf cub grabbed his trouser leg and wouldn't let him leave.
It let out a low growl, "woo-woo~", seemingly pleading with Lin Feng not to leave.
The wolf cub is too young to express itself accurately.
"No, little one, I really don't have time to play with you. We need to go find someone now. I'll play with you after we find him, okay?"
Lin Feng stroked the little guy's head.
We found a wound on its leg.
Lin Feng's eyes widened: "This wound is a gunshot wound?!"
Quickly heal the wolf cubs.
Could there be people in this no-man's-land?
And they must be up to no good!
Could it be that Hu Tianqi discovered these bad guys had secretly gone into the mountains to look for them and encountered danger instead?
"Do you want me to come with you?" he asked tentatively.
The wolf cub released its grip, took a few steps back, and then turned and ran into the depths of the forest.
After running a few steps, it stopped and looked back at Lin Feng.
Lin Feng instantly understood its meaning.
"You want me to go with you to help?" he asked in surprise.
The wolf cub let out an excited howl and continued running forward.
Lin Feng watched its small figure rush into the forest, glancing back at it every now and then.
There must be some danger ahead.
But it has to go.
Lin Feng stood up: "Captain Yao, I just saw an injured wolf cub with gunshot wounds on its leg. I have a bold guess!"
Captain Yao immediately understood.
"You mean it's very likely that Hu Tianqi went in to track down the predators?"
Lin Feng: "Yes!"
Judging from the extent of the wolf cub's wounds, it must have happened within the last two days.
Captain Yao: "In that case, it's very likely that Hu Tianqi is inside, or perhaps he's encountered danger?"
Lin Feng: "That's exactly what I think!"
"So I have to go in now. I brought him here. If I hadn't revealed his background, he wouldn't have been transferred from the Forestry Bureau headquarters to be an ordinary forest ranger here!"
"In the end, it was my fault that he was in such danger!"
Captain Yao: "Don't say that. It's his own reason for wanting to be a forest ranger, it has nothing to do with you!"
Lin Feng: "The miasma here will disappear for a while. I will bring Hu Tianqi back safely before the miasma returns!"
"No, I can't let you go in now, it's too dangerous!"
Captain Yao pulled Lin Feng back.
"Even experts might not be able to come out of this no-man's-land. There are no surveillance cameras inside. What if you go in and can't get out? Do you want us all to perish here?"
The chat room exploded with comments.
[Holy crap! Really? Is it that dangerous?]
[Don't scare us, streamer!]
This is no joke; it's a matter of life and death!
He turned to Captain Yao, his eyes resolute, and said, "Captain Yao, I have to go in. Hu Tianqi's fate is unknown, and I'm really worried about him!"
