Chapter 204 Children from the Mountain Area Are Terrified by the Zoo

"Can I do it? Wouldn't we need to find an expert? Professional things should be done by professionals. I don't think I can." Aunt Sun is a good person in many ways, but she lacks confidence. She's just a rural woman and doesn't know how to do anything sophisticated. Reproduction is still a pipe dream for her. "It's not about money, is it?"

Su Zhou smiled and pursed her lips: "It's okay, it's still early. It's estimated to be later."

"Then I won't be in a hurry," Aunt Sun said, relieved.

The whole night was filled with laughter and chatter. With so many mouths, they were no different from gluttons when they really got going. This little bit of food was nothing. After cleaning up the mess, everyone went back to rest.

"Line up and don't run around." Li Miaomiao led the children out of the mountain path. The bus driver was squatting to the side smoking. When he saw Li Miaomiao leading the children out, he smiled and told the children to put their schoolbags in the luggage compartment.

These children are really obedient; as soon as they heard they could visit the capital, they all behaved very well.

Once on the bus, he didn't make a fuss and sat quietly in his seat.

It takes quite a while to drive from here to Beijing. Even the bus drivers need to rest, occasionally stopping by the roadside for a meal or something.

After more than a day, the bus finally arrived in Beijing.

Taking the kids on the subway and changing lines to Wanling Zoo was a bit tiring, but seeing their excited expressions, I guess they were in a good mood.

The last time I visited Wanling Zoo was with my grandparents.

Standing here six months later, she felt that she had matured a lot.

"Teacher Li, this zoo is so beautiful!" The children's clothes were a bit drab, and they didn't stand out much from the most glamorous tourists. However, these children from remote mountain villages didn't feel that there was anything wrong with them.

"Right? The animals here are really interesting." Many of these children don't have cell phones or smartphones, so they don't know how famous Wanling Zoo is online, or how smart Ahei, the zoo's most famous animal influencer, is.

She didn't reveal anything, leaving them to their curiosity.

It's not uncommon for so many children to appear at the zoo at the same time. Many schools in Beijing organize students to visit the zoo, and the appearance of Li Miaomiao and her friends is not unusual either. Most of the people who looked at them were gentle and kind.

The zoo is very large, and it takes quite a long time to visit it.

We didn't get to visit a portion of the venue until noon.

Looking at the children, Li Miaomiao said, "Don't rush, let's go eat first."

"Teacher, Ahei is so smart! It could solve the math problem I gave it. Is it the smartest chimpanzee in the world?" the child's voice was innocent.

Li Miaomiao patted the little girl's head before saying, "Ahei used to be the smartest in the world, but now his wife Aya is also very smart, right?"

"Yes! Teacher, what are we having for lunch?" The prices at the animal restaurant weren't particularly expensive, and since there were only twenty children, Li Miaomiao decided to be generous and take the children to the animal restaurant for lunch.

When they got there, a group of people had just left, leaving a private room empty.

The children from the countryside sat obediently in their seats. Li Miaomiao had intended to reward them for their good behavior, so she handed them the menu: "Take a look and see what dishes you like. Order whatever you like."

The animal restaurant had clearly marked prices, and when the students saw the prices, they were dumbfounded and none of them dared to order anything.

Li Miaomiao smiled and said, "It's okay, each of you can order one dish. There's no need to save money for the teacher."

"The teacher's family still has some savings."

She couldn't help but sigh in her heart. Before she came to the remote mountainous areas, she really didn't know that there were so many people in the world living miserable lives. There's always a sense that the world is right around you.

Several of her elders have monthly pensions exceeding five figures, so she has no pressure regarding retirement. Her family owns a house in Beijing, so there's nothing for her to worry about; she can simply live a carefree and unrestrained life.

And these children...

When I first went to teach in the rural areas, some of them had lost their mothers, some had parents who had gone to work in distant places, and some were orphans... It was as if all the misfortunes in the world were focused on them.

This is also why Li Miaomiao was determined to stay in the mountainous area to teach.

Although they had ordered dishes, they were mostly the cheapest ingredients. Seeing this, Li Miaomiao added a few meat dishes. Everyone said that the meat at the animal restaurant was of very high quality. Later, she had been to some high-end restaurants, and she always felt that the quality of the meat there was indeed not as good as that of the Wanling Zoo.

When they arrived, Li Miaomiao had already posted photos of the children on her phone. After finishing her work, Su Zhou came to the animal restaurant and told the receptionist, "This table is on my tab; consider it a steal."

Pushing open the door to the private room, I saw a group of simple, unassuming faces.

Su Zhou greeted them: "Hello, I'm the director of this zoo. Are you from Liangshan? Thank you for your hard work."

This was the first time these students had ever seen someone who looked like a celebrity outside of television, and they were all stunned.

After Su Zhou revealed her identity, they all seemed stunned.

"Director, I've been following your zoo for a long time. Thank you for the free admission; it's thanks to you that these children can come to visit the zoo." Li Miaomiao's words were absolutely true; she had indeed been following Su Zhou's account for a long time.

Su Zhou nodded with a smile: "Thank you. The food at our zoo is really delicious. You were just lucky that there were seats available when it was your turn. By the way, I had something else to discuss with you today."

Her expression was somewhat serious, and Li Miaomiao couldn't help but become solemn as well.

"Could we speak in private?" Su Zhou glanced at the children and called her out.

Li Miaomiao followed him out, completely bewildered. Su Zhou then asked, "I'd like to sponsor a group of children to go to university. Does Teacher Li have any suitable candidates?"
