Chapter 36 The truth behind Tangdou's disappearance
The address of the pet hospital is in her account. If the little orange cat is really its owner, she will come to find it in person.
There was no need for her to waste time replying to private messages.
Lai Fang did not doubt Lin Ting's words. Ever since Bai Xi went upstairs to pick up the cat, Lai Fang's eyes had been looking towards the stairs.
After a while, Bai Xi came down from upstairs holding Tangdou. Seeing his mother's Tangdou struggling in Bai Xi's arms, he finally turned over and jumped out of Bai Xi's arms, dragging an inconvenient leg and running towards Lai Fang. Finally, he jumped into his owner's arms with great difficulty.

"Meow finally saw my mother."
Lai Fang held the big orange cat in her arms and couldn't help crying. Tears as big as beans kept falling down like broken strings, and soon her eyes turned red from crying.
"Tangdou, where have you been? Mommy finally found you."
"You don't know how long I've been looking for you. I even thought something happened to you. Tangdou, please don't run around anymore. I won't be able to find you." Lai Fang hugged Tangdou and cried. Her hands around Tangdou kept tightening, fearing that it was her illusion.
Tangdou wrapped Lai Fang's arm with his cat tail, rubbed his face against Lai Fang, and then licked Lai Fang's tears with his tongue that had tried to hide its barbs as much as possible.
"Tangdou misses mommy so much, mommy, please don't cry. Tangdou didn't run around, Tangdou has been looking for mommy, but Tangdou can't remember the way home, so she can't find mommy."
Looking at the man and the cat crying together, Lin Ting did not go forward to disturb them. He got up and went to the lounge to pour a cup of coffee.
When she came out again, Lai Fang was still sobbing while holding Tangdou.
Lin Ting sat on the sofa in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and waited quietly.
After Lai Fang finished crying, she noticed that Tangdou's hind legs were not in good condition. She checked Tangdou's hind legs and kept muttering, "Tangdou, what's wrong with your legs? Did you run into bad guys after running out, or did you encounter some danger?"
"Doctor Lin, can Tangdou's leg be cured?" Lai Fang wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Lin Ting put down the coffee cup in his hand and asked Bai Xi to help pour a cup of hot water for Lai Fang. "I have asked someone to examine Tang Dou. As for whether he can be cured, we still need to wait and see the results. If there is no problem with the results, surgery can be performed to re-set the bones. Then he can rest and recover without any problems."
Upon hearing that Tangdou's injured leg could be treated, Lai Fang finally felt relieved.
Lai Fang held Tangdou and bowed to Lin Ting repeatedly, "Thank you, Doctor Lin. If it weren't for you, I might never see Tangdou again."
"Let's not talk about this for now." Lin Ting reached out and helped Lai Fang sit down.
Lin Ting continued, "Miss Lai, even if I can help Tangdou heal his leg, if your family issues aren't resolved, Tangdou will still be thrown out and may continue to get hurt."
Hearing this, Lai Fang didn't react for a moment, staring at Lin with suspicion, "Doctor Lin, what do you mean by this? There's nothing wrong at home. Didn't Tangdou run away on his own? How could he be thrown out?"
"Really?" Lin Ting didn't answer.
Lai Fang's hands trembled slightly as she held Tangdou. Lai Fang saw Tangdou's fur standing up and meowing non-stop. She looked at Lin Ting for help, "Doctor Lin, what did my Tangdou say?"
On the way to the Cute Pet Hospital, Lai Fang watched Lin Tingfa's video and even saw the content on the trending search. She didn't really believe that it was possible to communicate with animals, but when she saw Tangdou meowing so anxiously, she couldn't help but believe it.
Without waiting for Lin Ting's answer, Amber and Toffee, who had taken a shower, almost swooped down the stairs and jumped into Lin Ting's arms with their tails erect.
The two kittens were fighting for space in Lin Ting's arms. Amber rubbed against Lin Ting's arms, sniffed Lin Ting's scent, and her fur instantly stood on end.
'What does it smell like?'
"Sister actually smells like a stupid cat."
'And it smells like a stupid bird.'
Lin Ting suddenly remembered that cats are very sensitive to smells. When she came back, she saw Lai Fang first and didn't have time to change her clothes.
She pinched the back of Amber's neck with her fingers and said, "I encountered some trouble when I went out, so I didn't change my clothes. Be good and let your sister take care of the candy bean issue first."
Hearing this, Amber stopped making a fuss and lay obediently in Lin Ting's arms, resting her head on Lin Ting's hand, making a comfortable rumbling sound.
Lin Ting's gaze fell back on Lai Fang. Facing Lai Fang's inquiring eyes, she said, "Tangdou didn't accidentally run out of the house and get lost. It was your mother-in-law who threw Tangdou from the upstairs. She originally wanted to kill Tangdou directly, and when you came back, she would say that the cat accidentally jumped out of the window and died."
"Cats are very quick-witted, so the jelly bean should have had some leverage when it fell, so it only broke its leg but didn't die.
When your mother-in-law saw that Tangdou hadn't fallen to death, she ran downstairs and picked him up and threw him to the dog dealer. Fortunately, Tangdou was smart and secretly escaped from the dog dealer's hands, thus avoiding death.
"Then Tangdou just kept wandering."

Lai Fang couldn't accept it for a moment and stared at Lin Ting until she felt the candy beans licking her hand.
She looked down and saw the fur of Tangdou gradually softening, and then she was sure that what Lin had heard was true.
A wave of sadness welled up in her heart. Lai Fang hugged Tangdou and sobbed again, her big tears falling on Tangdou. "I'm sorry, Tangdou. I didn't expect things to be like this. My mother-in-law said before that she didn't want me to have a cat. Later, I told her that Tangdou is very well-behaved and won't cause trouble. My mother-in-law didn't object anymore and didn't say anything."
"I didn't expect them to have such thoughts behind my back. If I had known they would attack Tangdou, I would never have left her alone at home. If Tangdou had been unlucky, I might never have seen her again in my life."
"Tangdou, I won't do that again. Mommy will never let you out of her sight again."
Lai Fang hugged Tangdou and cried breathlessly.
