Chapter 4 Cats Don't Lie
After saying that, Lin Ting strode towards the street corner. Before he got close, he saw a cat and two people confronting each other in front of a hotel from a distance.
The cow cat, with its fur standing on end, stood in front of a young lady, confronting the man opposite, and breathing at the man from time to time.
The man, who had wanted to pet the kitten, was so frightened when he saw the cow baring its fangs that he immediately retracted his outstretched hand. His expression turned even colder. "I told you not to feed these stray animals. Now you see, these little beasts are ungrateful and can never be tamed. Now they dare to bite us. Who knows, they'll scratch us next time."
"They were fine before. Every time they saw me coming, they would wag their tails. Maybe it was the first time they saw a stranger, so they were a little scared." The woman in a floral dress explained in a gentle voice.
"So you're saying I scared them, that's why they're baring their teeth at me. I think it's clear that these little beasts are ungrateful. If they have that spare money for charity, they might as well buy me something."
"Come on, come home with me." After saying that, the man walked forward and pulled the young lady's wrist.
Before the man could touch the girl's wrist, the little cow jumped up and bit the man's wrist.
The sharp fangs pierced into the flesh, and the man kept shaking his wrists in pain, trying to pull the kitten off his body. Before the man could touch it, the cow bounced down and came to the girl again.
"You're the worst person I've ever seen. Not only do you bring all kinds of girls to the hotel, but you also beat me up."
The man stared at the little cow in front of the girl with bloodshot eyes, "Are you blind? Can't you see that I've been bitten like this by this cat? Hurry up and catch this crazy cat and throw it to death."
Seeing the young lady's hesitation, the man continued, "This crazy cat bit me today, and who knows if it will bite other passersby tomorrow. If this crazy cat is allowed to run around, it will become a hazard to society."
Seeing the wound on her boyfriend's arm, the girl hesitated for a moment, but was still ready to catch the cow, but before the girl touched the cow.
The little cow was very agile and dodged, avoiding the capture of the young lady.
"Miss, Kitty stopped you from going with that man. Maybe it was for your own good to help you avoid danger. Haven't you heard that animals can predict danger better than humans?" Lin Ting put his hands in his coat pockets, walked through the crowd of onlookers, and came to the cow.
Because there was a free clinic today and Lin Ting was a doctor at a pet hospital, he was wearing a white coat.
Lin Ting squatted down, picked up the cow from the ground, and gently stroked its fur.
The little cow stared at Lin Ting with its sparkling eyes.
"Human, can you understand me?"
"Yes."
When the little cow learned that Lin Ting could hear him, he started to complain like crazy.
The girl was attracted by Lin Ting. Seeing that he was wearing a white coat, she knew that he was a doctor at a veterinary hospital on the street. "What do you mean by that?"
"Instead of asking me, why not go ask your boyfriend?" Lin Ting rubbed the cow's hair and looked at the man with a guilty look.
The young lady turned to look at her boyfriend who had been bitten badly and asked, "What do they mean by that? What did you do behind my back?"
Without a second thought, the man retorted, "What could I possibly do behind your back? Do you trust me or that stranger? If I had known so much would happen, I wouldn't have come with you to feed the cat. Not only did I get bitten, but I also have to pay for vaccinations."

"Miss, your boyfriend brings a girl to this hotel every week. He's already changed several people in a month. You don't even know how many this is. Little Cow has seen it several times, so she's trying to stop you from leaving with this man."
The little cow meowed several times, agreeing with what Lin had heard.
"Is what she said true?" the girl asked harshly.
The man panicked and glanced at Lin Ting with a warning in his sinister eyes, "How can this be true? They are just making up lies to deceive you and make me break up with you."
"I'm busy at work every day, and I spend my days off with you. How can I have time for another woman? I think this person is just maliciously spreading rumors. If you can't produce evidence today, I'm going to call the police."
The man deliberately raised his voice at the end.
"You bastard, how could I lie? I saw it all. Every week, he brings a beautiful girl to this big room, and each time he stays there for one night and then leaves."
Maybe humans can lie, but animals will never lie.
Otherwise, after graduating from medical school, Lin Ting would not have resolutely chosen to obtain a veterinary medical license.
Lin Ting didn't look at the exasperated man, but instead looked at the skeptical young lady. "If you don't believe me, you can check the hotel's surveillance. I guess it's too long ago to retrieve, but it should be possible within a week."
"Or you can just take your boyfriend's ID card and check the hotel check-in records. If he checked in multiple times, the hotel will definitely keep a record of the ID card check-in information."
Seeing that Lin Ting was taking things very seriously, the young lady began to doubt what he said and asked, "Give me your ID card."
"I didn't bring it. Who would carry their ID card with them when they go out? We've been talking for so long, and you actually believe a stranger and don't believe what I say." The man almost shouted.
Lin Ting then added, "You don't have to have an ID card. Your phone number or ID card number will do. If you're not guilty, you can check it to prove your innocence."
"What's your business here? Why are you meddling in other people's business?" The man rushed to Lin Ting with bloodshot eyes, and there was a fleeting murderous intent flashing in his pupils.
The moment the little cow saw the man rushing towards it, it instantly felt the malice and its fur immediately stood up in Lin Ting's arms. The whole cat was in a state of combat readiness.
"I'll beat you to death."
The little cow kept breathing at the man.
When the man saw the little cow, he couldn't help but take a step back. His arm, which was bitten, was still aching slightly.
"Let's go check the hotel surveillance." The young lady stepped forward, took the man's arm, and walked towards the hotel. Originally, the young lady was a little skeptical about what Lin Ting said, but when she saw the man's guilty look, she became more determined to follow Lin Ting's advice.
As soon as I stepped into the hotel, before the young lady could give me her phone number and ID number, the security guard at the door greeted me with a smile, "Is it the same room?"
After hearing what the security guard said, neither the young lady nor the crowd who came to watch the fun understood anything.
