"Okay, uncle."
As Luo Bin passed by Luo Sheng, he casually patted him on the shoulder and sat down opposite him at the baijiu table.
"Luo Sheng, please sit down too."
Luo's mother glanced at her son, knowing he was upset, so she gave him a reassuring look, signaling him to relax and not be petty.
Everyone sat down, and fearing that Luo Bin might spit out something else, Luo's mother spoke first this time.
"When did Ah Bin return to China? Why didn't you tell me or your uncle? We could have sent someone to pick you up."
After many years apart, Luo Bin seemed like a completely different person after returning to China, entirely unlike the arrogant and extremely aggressive person he was remembered as.
Although they couldn't quite put their finger on what was wrong, Luo's parents attributed it all to the fact that their child had finally grown up, become sensible, and was no longer as aggressive as before.
"I just got back to China yesterday and haven't had a chance to tell my uncle and aunt yet."
Perhaps because he spent so much time with actors and baijiu (Chinese liquor), Luo Bin can now lie effortlessly and without any trouble.
"My cousin just got back yesterday? How come he's also at the Yu family's daughter's birthday banquet today, what a coincidence?"
After a long silence, Baijiu suddenly thought of something and, taking advantage of a lull in their conversation, posed a question that puzzled everyone.
She stared at Luo Bin, trying to find a clue in his face.
What a coincidence that he's here! Why would he suddenly return to China from Los Angeles? Did he discover that Sister Hong and the child ran away? His presence here tonight is definitely not just for a birthday party.
"Well, I recently signed a cooperation agreement with a domestic company, so I came back to handle some work. As for the birthday of the Yu family's little princess, the partner from the cooperation agreement happened to be there tonight, and he asked me to come along."
The man's expression remained unchanged, and he spoke each word as if it were the truth. Even Baijiu couldn't tell whether it was fact or not.
She was somewhat exasperated and wanted to say something more, but Luo's mother interrupted her.
"Looking back, you've been abroad for over a decade now. Although you haven't been in much contact with us, we've heard about what you've accomplished. We're very pleased to see your success now."
After Luo's mother finished speaking, Luo's father nodded in satisfaction.
"I've seen your achievements at work. But you're not getting any younger now. I wonder if you've started a family yet? When your mother's cousin visited her children in the US last time, she said she saw you holding a child in front of a clinic. Is that true?"
child.
We've finally brought up this topic.
Luo Bin glanced at the liquor without showing any emotion, his eyes filled with complex feelings.
"It's true. I have a child in the United States."
