Chapter 169 Returning to New Zealand

Chapter 169 Returning to New Zealand

Shen Jingsi's original plan was to take Lu Zhenyu back to New Zealand as soon as the trip to Malaysia ended, so that the mother and daughter could reunite.

So that night, he said he had a secret to tell her.

However, the plans were disrupted by the unexpected golden wedding anniversary party.

The thought of herself enjoying freedom outside while her daughter was trapped in that small glass cabin, longing for her mother to return soon broke Lu Zhenyu's heart.

Holding her tightly, she gripped Shen Jingsi's bare back with her fingertips, feeling both angry and anxious, and bit his neck hard.

Shen Jingsi gasped, but sat there motionless, letting her punish him.

"Shen Jingsi, I hate you."

This time, no matter how much pain Chen Jingsi felt, she wouldn't let go. "You can hate me, hit me, scold me, you're all welcome, but you can't blame yourself, okay?"

Lu Zhenyu clenched her fist and punched hard into the hard chest until the skin turned red and her fist started to ache and itch.

She finally let out a long breath, her eyes red, and retreated, muttering, "Does it hurt?"

Shen Jingsi shook his head, "It doesn't hurt."

"Then hurry up!" Lu Zhenyu raised her voice, "Arrange to go back to New Zealand and take me back to see her!"

The truth is, Shen Jingsi, who was bitten and hammered, was in so much pain that he shed tears, yet he was laughing like a fool.

Realizing what was happening, she quickly nodded, "Okay, okay, I'll go arrange it right away, I'll go right away."

He put Lu Zhenyu, who was straddling his waist, down to the side, rolled off the bed and rushed out, stopping abruptly at the door.

He realized he was completely naked, so he went back to the bedside, picked up a bathrobe, and while putting it on, bent down and kissed the girl who was sitting on the bed crying with tears streaming down her face.

"Don't worry, honey, I'll arrange it. You'll see the baby soon."

I put on a bathrobe, went barefoot, and ran out.

Seeing that hurried and flustered figure, Lu Zhenyu, who was initially angry and remorseful, instantly burst into laughter through her tears.

"Fool, what a fool."

Everything happened so suddenly that the broken string in Lu Zhenyu's mind wasn't reconnected until she boarded the plane.

The man slapped his thigh and stood up with a start, exclaiming, "Oh no, I forgot to buy Pearl a gift!"

He was then pulled back into Shen Jingsi's arms with a smile.

She gently rubbed the little face that had been tense the whole time to comfort her, "Don't worry, everything is ready."

He called out, and his subordinates waiting outside brought out stacks of beautifully packaged gift boxes.

Lu Zhenyu frowned, "But you bought this, not me."

Is there any difference?

“Of course.” Lu Zhenyu replied without hesitation, “You’re the father, and I’m the mother.”

Shen Jingsi chuckled and pinched the stubborn little face. "You haven't even seen the baby yet, and you're already vying for attention?"

Lu Zhenyu turned her face away quietly.

There's nothing we can do; she was four years late to the game.

He, as the father, had seized the initiative. If she didn't do something to turn the tide, wouldn't she lose her standing with her daughter?

But this state only lasted a few hours. As soon as the plane landed at the New Zealand airport, Lu Zhenyu's body began to tense up uncontrollably.

On the way back by car, she held onto Shen Jingsi's arm tightly and muttered to herself.

Do you think she'll be angry with me?

"If she asks me what I've been doing for the past four years, what should I say?"

"Will she think that I'm an irresponsible mother, that I don't love her and that's why I haven't been by her side?"

"if……"

"My silly wife." Shen Jingsi pulled the anxious woman into his arms and rubbed her slightly frizzy head. "What you're worried about won't happen. Trust your husband, okay?"

It would have been better if he hadn't said those words, because as soon as he did, Lu Zhenyu's face darkened.

"You still dare to talk!" She punched Jing Si hard in the chest, making him shudder.

She sat up. "If you had told me sooner, I wouldn't be so scared. I would never believe you! You're a fool!"

As he spoke, he began punching, kicking, biting, and pinching.

Shen Jingsi dared not hide, and obediently sat there, taking bite after bite.

New Zealand is exceptionally clear and fresh today.

The sun was warm, and its rays made people feel comfortable.

Lu Zhenyu was the only one shrouded in a dark cloud; ever since she got out of the car, her fist had remained clenched in her sleeve.

Shen Jingsi pulled her into his arms, his large, warm hands silently enveloping her cool, delicate fists.

"Don't be nervous, your baby will only be happy to see you."

Lu Zhenyu glared at him, her expression saying, "Don't talk like that. If you were in that situation, you wouldn't even know your own child was alive, and you hadn't seen him in four years. You try it."

Knowing he was in the wrong, Shen Jingsi could only endure his wife's accusing gaze.

Upon hearing the sound, Sister Cui led a group of people out of the villa to greet them.

Seeing the two acting intimately from afar, I smiled.

"Sir, Madam, you're back from your trip."

Lu Zhenyu, immersed in her nervousness, was unaware that her form of address had been subtly changed.

Shen Jingsi was in a good mood, feeling refreshed. "Where are the pearls?"

Sister Cui, "Miss is resting in her bedroom. Should we wake her up?"

"No!" Lu Zhenyu quickly waved her hand and looked at Shen Jingsi. "I'm a little nervous. Letting her fall asleep will give me some time to prepare."

He lowered his head and kissed her, saying, "I'll do whatever my wife says."

Upon hearing this, the servants opposite all lowered their heads and smiled.

No one knows better than their master how he has lived these past four years. Now that he has finally won back the wife he has been longing for, everyone is genuinely happy.

Watching the figure disappear into the villa, Sister Cui slapped her thigh and began to instruct her subordinates to prepare dinner properly.

Arriving at the tightly closed bedroom, Lu Zhenyu grabbed Shen Jingsi, who was about to open the door.

He turned around and saw that the girl's face was pale and her breathing had become rapid.

"nervous?"

Lu Zhenyu nodded.

Although she had known her daughter for a long time, the experience of knowing a godmother and a biological mother is completely different.

The more nervous Lu Zhenyu became, the more distressed Shen Jingsi felt.

He turned around, cradled her head in his arms, and said, "Zhenzhen, everything will be alright."

When Lu Zhenyu is anxious, she likes to bite her fingers.

Compared to worrying about whether her daughter approves of her, Lu Zhenyu is more nervous about how to be a mother.

It was all so sudden. Overnight, she discovered that her miscarried child was still alive, and overnight, she was about to face her daughter again.

Shen Jingsi gently stroked the girl's stiff back, his voice tender, "If I told you that she's known you're her mommy since she was a year and a half old, would you feel a little less nervous?"

She looked up. "What did you say to her?"

Shen Jing laughed, "She's very smart. I only told her that her mother helped her fight the bad guys, and she knew that her mother must love her very much."

Lu Zhenyu's eyes reddened again. She didn't know why, but ever since she learned of her daughter's existence, she had become very sensitive.

"But I'm not a good mother."

What kind of good mother wouldn't even know if her daughter was alive or dead, leaving her child to suffer alone from illness, while selfishly traveling the world in pursuit of freedom and happiness under the guise of loving herself?

If she hadn't insisted on going in to negotiate with the kidnappers back then, her baby, who was almost seven months pregnant, wouldn't have been in trouble.

She has no right to be happy; she should be a hundred times more miserable than her daughter.

If she were a child, she would hate this mother to death too.

"Silly girl." Shen Jingsi wiped away Lu Zhenyu's tears with his fingertips. "Whether she is a good mother or not is not for you to judge."

He took the cold little hand back into his warm palm, wrapped it tightly, and said, "Go in with your husband and ask our daughter yourself. Children don't lie. Let's see her attitude first, and then we can decide whether we're a good mother, okay?"

After a long while, Lu Zhenyu nodded.

Shen Jingsi lowered his head, kissed away the moisture from the corner of the girl's eyes, wiped away the tear stains on her face, and turned to open the door.

Sniffing, Lu Zhenyu let out a long breath and was led into the bedroom by Shen Jingsi.
