Chapter 2 Awakening
Without even having time to scream, Shao Leyan fainted on the spot, his body leaning back and falling straight into Le An's arms.
Le An was busy catching Shao Leyan and using his special power device to leave, and in a panic he pressed the wrong button.
A white light flashed, and when he opened his eyes again, he was separated from Shao Leyan.
He just abandoned his host and escaped on his own.
The other side.
The unconscious Shao Leyan was being eaten by the hungry zombies, and there was not a single intact part on his body.
A pain more unbearable than having one's eyes gouged out and one's heart dug out swept through his body. Shao Leyan cried out in pain and woke up abruptly.
When she opened her eyes, she saw three zombies lying on top of her, gnawing and tearing her flesh. She was covered in blood, and the zombies had dug holes in her chest and abdomen to make it easier for them to eat her internal organs.
Not far away, a convoy was slowly approaching, but there were no zombies to attack them.
Old Li saw Shao Leyan's miserable condition clearly through his clairvoyance and felt pity for him.
"Captain, this girl is so pitiful, should we save her?"
Fu Xingyan withdrew his gaze and made a decision without hesitation, "Can't save him."
Old Li felt a little regretful, but he could also understand the director's thoughts.
It has been bitten like this. Even if it is rescued, it will become a zombie and die in the end.
Old Li sighed, "Rather than being taken back to the dungeon for dissection by you, I'd rather be a mindless little zombie out there and be free and easy."
Fu Xingyan chuckled and gave Old Li a hard push.
"You remind me that she's a ready-made experimental subject. Go ahead. I allow you to save her."
"No, your experiment doesn't need a low-level zombie like her. Considering how pitiful she is..."
Old Li was shocked when he caught a glimpse of the sharp and resolute figure like a knife blade.
"Eh? Why did Lu Chuchen get off the car?"
Fu Xingyan followed Lao Li's gaze and saw the deer
Chu Chen made a casual move, and the three well-fed zombies turned into ashes in an instant.
The weight on his body lightened, and Shao Leyan opened his tearful eyes.
The handsome man who looked like a god was looking at her. The relief of surviving a great disaster made her feel an infinite fondness for this lifesaver.
Just as she was about to say thank you, her throat was cut in two by the sharp dagger, and the gushing blood splashed all over her savior.
The benefactor who had just saved her from danger turned into the executioner who cut her throat.
There is no grudge between us, so why kill her?
Lu Chuchen wiped the blood off his dagger, his expression so calm as if he was not the one who had just killed someone.
"You're welcome. I'll leave you an intact body and bury it properly."
Shao Leyan was in pain all over and her life was slipping away rapidly, but strangely, she could hear everything Lu Chuchen said clearly and could even see him squatting down to hug her.
At this moment, a strange and cold male voice suddenly sounded.
"Lu Chuchen, if you continue wasting time on meaningless things, I will apply to Central City for someone else to accompany me for the sampling."
Shao Leyan didn't know where the voice came from, but thanks to this person who didn't show up, she knew the name of this kind executioner.
His name is Lu Chuchen.
Hearing the threat in Fu Xingyan's words, Lu Chuchen lowered his raised hands weakly, said "I'm sorry" to Shao Leyan, and left without looking back.
Shao Leyan was left lying there half dead.
She was fatally wounded, but she still had a breath left.
Le An disappeared, and Lu Chuchen, who had good intentions towards her, also left her.
Didn’t Le An say that this world is the sweetest place in the world?
Why was she dying again less than five minutes after coming in?
Shao Leyan looked up at the sky in silence, lying there waiting to die with no desire to live.
Her blood attracted more zombies, who gnawed at her already broken body.
After a long time, she actually got used to the pain of her flesh being bitten and pulled, and even tasted a sense of pleasure and refreshment from this numb pain.
After an unknown amount of time, the zombie, having feasted on her, gave up on her and walked away without looking back.
Shao Leyan was a little puzzled.
Is there no more meat on her body for them to eat?
She tried to move her intact little finger and was surprised to find that her right hand, which was only left with bones, was now intact, as white and clean as if it had never been bitten by zombies.
This strange physical transformation fell into a pair of bored eyes.
"He actually awakened the power of resurrection before dying? How interesting."
Shao Leyan's already fragile nerves were frightened again. She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a tall man with sickly pale skin standing five steps away from her, but she had no idea when this man appeared.
"Your injuries are clearly almost healed, why are you still lying down?"
Shao Leyan pursed his lips and didn't dare to speak.
The man didn't care whether she responded or not and continued talking to himself.
"What a shame! I wish you could transform into a zombie successfully. A zombie with the ability to resurrect would definitely give the sand coins in the central city and the underground city a headache! I really want to see that scene. It's exciting just thinking about it."
Shao Leyan was frightened and panicked, and was unable to open his eyes because of the sudden strong wind.
"My dear lady, I allow you to know my name."
Shao Leyan said impatiently: "I don't want to know, don't tell me."
"My name is Shi Huai, and I'm your master."
Shao Leyan glared at Shi Huai fiercely.
"You are sick!"
Shi Huai ignored Shao Leyan's curses, grabbed her shoulders and lifted her up like a chicken.
"Come with me to Zombie City. I want to study the secret of your supernatural powers."
As soon as he finished speaking, an uninvited guest suddenly appeared in the center of the eye of the storm.
Le An looked at Shi Huai holding Shao Leyan by the scruff of the neck and felt a little embarrassed for a moment.
"Um... could you please put my sister down? Just tell me if you have anything to say."
Shi Huai narrowed his eyes and calmly observed Le An who appeared out of nowhere.
"Are you a space-based psychic?"
Le An swallowed nervously, "Let my sister go first, then I'll tell you what my special ability is."
Shi Huai snorted coldly, "That won't do. Your sister's abilities are much more interesting than yours."
Le An originally felt guilty for leaving Shao Leyan alone to face the zombies, but now that he heard that she had awakened her special powers, he felt that it was a blessing in disguise.
"I don't want to offend you, but that doesn't mean I'm afraid of you. If you return my sister to me, we can still be friends."
Shi Huai refused to budge, "You think you are worthy of being my friend?"
Shao Leyan could only watch from the side and could not help. Although she didn't know what Le An did during the ten minutes that he was missing, she would rather be with Le An than with the moody Shi Huai.
"Shi Huai, don't you want to know the secret of my supernatural power?"
Shi Huai tilted his head and looked at her sideways.
"Will you tell me?"
Shao Leyan nodded and said, "I'm anxious to go home with my brother. After I tell you, you will let us go."
