Mu Jinsheng smiled awkwardly and her face turned red instantly.
"City Lord Fu, Madam Fu, I'm truly sorry. Father didn't mean to not come pick you up. Jiaojiao and Chuchen had a falling out a while ago, and Chuchen went on strike claiming illness, so Father and I had to share the work that was originally his. I really couldn't spare the time."
Fu Xingchen and Shao Leyan looked at each other, and for some reason, neither of them was surprised.

Fu Xingyan's smile widened. "What's that? If he knew that the child in your belly might not be his, do you think... would he kill his own relatives for the sake of justice?"
Shao Leyan stared at his fearless face in disbelief, his pupils trembling violently.
She thought of many possibilities of Fu Xingyan falling in love with her, but she could never have predicted that in the blanks of her memory, there would be fragments of an affair.
She couldn't remember at all.
"You... stop joking," Shao Leyan subconsciously pushed Fu Xingyan away. "Although we kissed, we definitely didn't cross the line. I wouldn't betray my man."
"But you treat me as your brother?"
Fu Xingyan grabbed Shao Leyan's wrist, leaned over, put his mouth close to her ear, and whispered:
"Have you forgotten? I was the one who was intimate with you during those few days. We did everything."

Fu Xingyan easily controlled Shao Leyan's limbs, while the latter was already exhausted and panting.
"Anyway, this could be our child. I won't hurt you, so don't be too angry. I'll take you away after the baby is born."
Shao Leyan's face turned red with anger, the tip of his nose was stinging with sourness and pain, and his throat was blocked as if he had swallowed a large piece of steamed bun.
"Leave? Do you know how much effort I put in to stay in the dungeon? What makes you think I'll leave with you even if I'm pregnant with your child?"
"You're not leaving? Are you going to let my child call my brother father?"
