Chapter 91 Mysterious Savior
Shao Leyan realized it belatedly, "Did you already know that I would leave the underground city one day?"
Le An shook his head. "I don't know, but if you want to leave and I can't help you at all, wouldn't that make you look down on me?"
Shao Leyan patted Le An's shoulder and said sincerely, "Thank you very much."
Seeing her increasingly rosy cheeks, Le An asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
“Not very good.”
Shao Leyan raised his hand to wipe the thin layer of sweat from his forehead, swallowing the little saliva he had with a dry mouth.
The breath I exhaled turned into a wisp of white mist, and my whole body felt as hot as if I was sitting in a sauna and warming myself by the fire.
“It’s really terrible.”
Le An selected the functions of the supernatural device in his hand, and his eyes lit up when he saw the freezing function.
Ten minutes later.
Le An carried the ice coffin on his shoulders and walked slowly on the deserted street.
There was no light in the Chiyan District at night. It was so quiet that I walked two blocks without seeing a single person.
They wanted to find a safe place to stay today, but the surrounding buildings were protected by different supernatural powers, so they couldn't break in. Le An could only muster up the courage to knock on the door.
But no matter how loudly or urgently he knocked, there was no sound in the dark room, let alone anyone opening the door.
An hour later, Le An was exhausted.
He gently placed the ice coffin on the ground and sat down on the edge of the wall. Looking at Shao Leyan, who was frozen in the ice coffin with his eyes closed and motionless, he sighed helplessly.
"Oh, I'm going to sleep on the streets tonight. I might as well freeze myself. Maybe it will be safer this way."
After sitting there for an unknown amount of time, Le An slowly closed his eyes, nodding his head and dozing off from time to time. Suddenly, a hoarse roar from not far away instantly woke him up from his light sleep.
He looked over and saw several zombies walking towards them.
Le An suddenly lost all sleepiness, swallowed nervously, and touched the supernatural device in his pocket. Just as he was about to press the button, he remembered the randomness of the transfer and simply gave up and went to an unknown new place.
He sighed, picked up the ice coffin and ran away.
He prayed in his heart that the zombies he encountered had no special abilities or were low-level zombies that he could deal with.
Otherwise, their lives would be in danger before their mission even begins.
His hurried footsteps attracted the zombies, and the roars behind him became louder and louder, not daring to stop for a moment.
Until his neck felt tight and he was lifted up, his legs flailing around without touching the ground, and his hands suddenly lost all strength.
Bang!
The ice coffin fell to the ground, leaving several deep cracks, but it still did not break.
Teleportation ability?
Le An felt as if facing a formidable enemy. His heart was trembling like an earthquake. He felt suffocated and nauseous, and wanted to vomit but couldn't.
He pressed his hands against the zombie's bloody mouth, and seeing that Shao Leyan hadn't woken up yet, he felt a little relieved.
But the sound of ice breaking made his heart sink.
The five zombies following closely behind heard the sound, and let out hoarse and sharp roars from their throats. They opened their bloody mouths and were about to pounce on Shao Leyan who was lying quietly.
Le An could hardly protect himself and wanted to get the supernatural device but was powerless. Thinking of Shao Leyan's ability to resurrect, he withdrew his gaze and focused on dealing with the zombie in front of him that was strangling his neck.
The dirty, blood-stained palm touched Shao Leyan's clean face. As long as the five fingers were closed, the sharp nails would pierce through her pretty little face, making her unrecognizable like minced meat.
Snap!
thump!
The zombie who wanted to launch a sneak attack screamed in pain, covered his bleeding right arm, and looked at the culprit in disbelief.
The second before their eyes met, the black-haired man who suddenly appeared disappeared again.
The zombies instantly lost interest in Shao Leyan and started looking for the man who posed a great threat to them.
The next second, half of the head of the zombie that was fighting with Le An was cut off. The hungry zombie that was just showing its fangs and claws instantly turned into a headless bloody man.
Le An kicked the zombie down in fear, not bothering to find out the reason behind it.
He ran to Shao Leyan, took out his supernatural device, and when his index finger was about to press the space transfer button, he was knocked down by an angry zombie.
"ah!"
Le An fell into a puddle of water and his back hit the ground. The pain made him almost cry.
The supernatural device was thrown against the wall with a "bang", fell to the ground and rolled twice. I don't know if it was broken.
Looking past the ugly faces of the zombies, Le An immediately saw the mysterious man who had just helped him, and couldn't help but ask him for help.
"Brother! Save my life, I will reward you handsomely!"
The man looked towards him and caught a glimpse of the zombie he had just kicked away crawling towards the unconscious woman on the ground.
He only thought for a second, then easily took out the crystal core from the zombie's brain and threw the dagger in his hand to Le An.
Le An gritted his teeth and held the zombie's neck. His other hand reached for the dagger, raised it, and chopped off the last zombie's head.
“Hu…Hu…”
The fierce fight consumed most of Le An's physical strength, and he sat on the ground gasping for breath.
The strange man dealt with the last zombie. His eyes fell on the bite wound on Shao Leyan's shoulder and his brows furrowed.
He turned around
He looked at Le An, stretched out his hand, and spoke in a lazy tone with a hint of drunken hoarseness.
"My knife."
"oh."
Le An handed the still-bloody knife back to the man, wiped the sweat and blood from his forehead, and thanked him sincerely, "Thanks, brother. If it weren't for you, my sister and I would be dead."
The man gave Le An a meaningful look and couldn't help but say, "You have no place to live, do you want to come with me?"
"Is it really possible?"
Le An immediately smiled, stood up and walked towards Shao Leyan.
"That's great, I'll go wake her up."
The man couldn't bear to watch and tried to stop her, "Hey! Your sister has already..."
The next second, the scene in front of him left him, who was usually calm, stunned.
The wounds on the woman who had just been bitten by the zombies had healed as before, as if the fierce fight they had just had nothing to do with her.
She rubbed her eyes as if she had just woken up, and was pulled to her feet by her brother. Her dazed gaze was like that of a newborn rabbit, purer and more real than he had ever seen before.
A beam of warm and brilliant sunlight broke through the heavy constraints, rushed into his tightly closed heart with an unstoppable force, and illuminated her dark world.
But are there really people in this world who can remain untransformed even after being bitten by zombies?
He still has reservations.
On the other side, Shao Leyan and Le An, who survived the disaster, were looking at the current information.
"Le Yan, we are so lucky."
"Lucky?"
Shao Leyan glanced at the bedraggled Le An, thinking he was being sarcastic, "Did you fall and become stupid?"
"Oh! That's not what I'm talking about. Look at the guy behind me."
Shao Leyan looked over at the man standing behind him with his head down and no words said, and asked curiously, "He saved us?"
