Chapter 3: Mrs. Lu fainted with anger

The sky is clear and the air is fresh, and the breeze is gentle.

Lu Anan had a carriage to herself. The interior was soft and comfortable, and she had a good sleep.

But the people in the carriage following behind were not having a good time.

Yesterday, Lu Qingqing thought that she had tricked Lu Anan, and that the slap was not in vain, and that Lu Anan must starve.

Who knew that the Queen Mother's oral order came from the palace immediately, saying that they had to follow the Seventh Princess to bathe, burn incense, and go to Pu'an Temple to pray for the Seventh Prince.

Lu Qingqing had a hard time expressing her suffering. She was in pain and hungry.

"Qingqing, we'll be fine once we get to Pu'an Temple."

Mrs. Lu felt very distressed, as the red marks on Lu Qingqing's face became more and more obvious.

Lu Anan stretched lazily with satisfaction and took out a bag of snacks from the space.

Although the carriage was traveling on a mountain road, no vibration was felt.

What she didn't know was that this was specially arranged by Chu Jinshen, and the craftsmen had put a lot of thought into building this carriage from top to bottom.

The car that Lu Qingqing and Mrs. Lu drove was not even as good as an ordinary carriage.

Lu Qingqing was shaken so much that she almost bumped into the car wall, and Mrs. Lu felt a draft coming from all sides and was freezing cold.

As late autumn approached, Lu Qingqing and Mrs. Lu suffered a lot along the way.

After getting off the bus, the two of them supported each other and looked miserable.

But Lu Anan was helped off the horse. Her face was rosy and she didn't look like she had caught a cold at all.

Lu Qingqing was not a fool, so she finally understood. No wonder when the carriage was sent, the steward specifically instructed that the princess's status was different from before and there was a difference in status.

Lu Anan was forced to have the car all to himself.

However, Lu Anan looked at their miserable appearance, raised her eyebrows, and looked back at the two carriages.

I understood what was going on in an instant.

Is the Seventh Princess's treatment so high? It's pretty cool though.

After all, Lu Anan was very happy to see Lu Qingqing in trouble.

Only a certain prince kept his merits and fame hidden.

The abbot of Pu'an Temple was waiting at the door. When he saw Lu An'an and others, he lowered his head slightly.

"Amitabha, benefactor."

Lu Anan subconsciously returned the greeting, and Lu Qingqing beside her smiled and showed her own style.

"Abbot, my mother and I are here to pray for the Seventh Prince."

Not a word about Lu Anan.

Lu Anan disagreed and snorted. She looked at the right place and saw several gorgeously dressed women behind the abbot.

Since you, Lu Qingqing, want to act, she will of course accompany you to the end.

"Seventh Princess's sincerity will bring success."

The abbot ignored her and looked at Lu Anan instead.

"Thank you for your help, Abbot."

Lu Anan was impatient to walk with Lu Qingqing, and Mrs. Lu happened to see several other ladies not far away, and her face suddenly changed.

"Hey, Madam Prime Minister?"

The person who spoke was the wife of Marquis Pingyang. She couldn't stand Mrs. Lu's behavior. Even if it was her elder sister who asked her to do so, she couldn't just let someone else's daughter bully her own daughter.

"Marquis, Madam Marquis."

Mrs. Lu looked a little unhappy, and Lu Anan stood aside without saying a word.

She is now the confirmed Seventh Princess, and her status is higher than everyone present.

The wife of Marquis Pingyang smiled and affectionately took Lu Anan's arm.

"An An, you're getting married in a few days. When the time comes, I'm going to come and ask for a glass of wedding wine."

Lu Anan lowered her eyes and pretended to be strong.

"That's not right, Madam Hou. Mother will definitely welcome you."

The wife of Marquis Pingyang took off the bracelet on her wrist and handed it to Lu Anan.

"I came here to pray today, but I didn't bring anything nice. This bracelet is pretty good looking, so I'll consider it as a little extra to your makeup."

"Oh, right, remember when the Zhao family's daughter got married, her wedding dress was spread out over ten miles of red. I'm sure I'll be able to handle it myself then, don't you think?"

Although Lady Pingyang Hou said this, her eyes were on Lady Lu.

Lu Anan raised her eyebrows. What the wife of Marquis Pingyang said was enough to burst Mrs. Lu's lungs.

"Madam Hou is right!"

"That's right, I'll have to go and ask for a glass of wedding wine when the time comes!"

The ladies nearby could see what was going on and quickly chimed in.

Mrs. Lu was in a dilemma, so Lu Anan slowly spoke.

"Don't worry, Madam Hou. My parents said that since I'm still young and will be marrying into the Seventh Prince's Mansion, it would be great if I had more money to rely on. They plan to give me half of the savings in the mansion."

Lu Qingqing widened her eyes and almost tore her handkerchief into pieces. Where had her parents ever said such a thing?

But it is not easy to refute directly in front of so many ladies. If that happens, the whole capital will be embarrassed!

Mrs. Lu's face turned pale and she pointed at Lu Anan with a shaking finger.

“You…you…”

Before she could finish her sentence, she lost her breath and fainted.

The maid next to her didn't react, but Lu Qingqing, who was standing next to Madam Lu, subconsciously took two steps back.

Lu Anan saw it and thought it was ridiculous.

I wonder if Mrs. Lu’s head hurts?

When I think about this in the future, will I regret losing my daughter?

The Lu family was in chaos, and Lu Qingqing was forced to return with Mrs. Lu.

Because there was no suitable carriage, she had to take the one she came in. The bumpy ride almost cost Mrs. Lu half her life.

The wife of Marquis Pingyang watched them leave and patted Lu Anan's hand.

"Although women have to rely on their parents' families, it makes no difference whether they have them or not."

"No matter what, when we get married in the future, I will discuss it with my husband and live in harmony."

There was something else behind the words of Marquis Pingyang's wife, and Lu Anan was a little confused.

Have you discussed this with your husband?

But the problem is that the Seventh Prince she is going to marry is still in a coma due to poisoning.

The wife of Marquis Pingyang said goodbye to her.

It happened to be lunch time when a monk came and took Lu Anan to eat the vegetarian food in the temple.

The taste was good, which attracted Lu Anan to eat a lot.

Fortunately, there were some stomach-strengthening and digestion-promoting tablets in the space. Lu Anan put them in her mouth and ate them as if they were candy.

On the other side, Zhao Er diligently recorded what happened that day and handed it over to his prince.

Chu Jinshen's face was still pale, without a trace of blood.

The wound on his chest was a little black due to poisoning.

I have been taking medicine, but it's just a drop in the bucket and I'm barely alive.

"Do you like vegetarian food?"

"Yes, the little princess even packed a lot of it in a food box."

"The mansion's chef needs an extra one, so he can go to the temple and learn from him."

Zhao Er responded.

Their prince is cold-hearted and has not had a partner for so many years. He only cares about this little princess.

"Aren't you leaving yet?"

Zhao Er was stunned for a moment before he realized that his prince meant that why he was still staying here and not protecting the little princess.

Zhao Er had a hard time expressing his grievances. If he hadn't lost to Wang Wu in the game of rock-paper-scissors, why would he have bothered to deliver the letter?

Others may not know, but he knows too well the master's mood swings.

Especially in recent days, the master's wound hurts and he can't sleep.

Chu Jinshen looked at his departing back, deep in thought.

This Miss Lu Er is quite interesting.

Even when her beloved mother, whom she once loved the most, was in trouble, she was still able to stay safely in the temple. This was not like her usual behavior.
