Chapter 152 The blackmailer's daughter is in her mother's arms

Turning to look at her son, sorrow returned to her heart.

"mother."

Sigh~

Simple conversations happen almost every day, but that's about it.

After running out of Lang's house, Li Yiyi discovered that this production team was even poorer than she had imagined, probably because of its relatively high location.

Li Yi looked down and quickly finished seeing the entire production team, gaining a more concrete impression of it.

Small, poor, and down on its luck, but with honest and kind people.

As you walk from the hillside where Lang's family lives to the foot of the mountain, everyone you pass by greets Li Yiyi.

There were expressions of pity and words of comfort.

The hardships of life rarely brought smiles to their faces; the marks of labor etched themselves on their bodies; the wrinkles brought by the years were not aesthetically pleasing, but they gave them a sense of simplicity and honesty.

There is a contrast. Zhou Wenzhu has a fair complexion and a scholarly appearance that is very likable, but it can't hide his incredibly dark heart.

The people in the production team weren't exactly good-looking, but their inner beauty was more beautiful than their outward appearance.

After wandering around, Li Yiyi arrived at a strange place.

What's strange is that there's no one else around the house, much like Zhou Wenzhu's private cowshed in the production team.

Remote and isolated.

A thought flashed through Li Yiyi's mind, and she realized who lived there. They were similar to Zhou Wenzhu's group—either people caught up in the turbulent times.

Not particularly interested, Li Yiyi was about to leave when, coincidentally, the door across the hall opened, and a simply dressed but elegant woman stepped out.

Her mind raced, and Li Yiyi finally remembered who was in front of her—it was her grandmother, whom she had never met before.

Jiang Yuting showed her the photos. Jiang's mother looked much younger in the photos. The years had brought her a certain maturity, making her appear more charming than before.

"grandmother."

Her little mouth opened, and a clear, crisp sound came out.

Jiang's mother first looked up at the sky, finding no suspicious traces, confirming it hadn't fallen from the sky. Only then did she shift her gaze to her surroundings, looking around to make sure no one else was there.

So, whose child is this?

"Grandma, my mother is Jiang Yuting."

Having learned from her first experience of recognizing relatives and from Li Laoda's earnest teachings, Li Yiyi learned to supplement her knowledge.

"Yuting".

Jiang's mother was visibly excited as she carefully examined Li Yiyi before her.

Her eyes were the same as Jiang Yuting's, her nose was the same, her mouth was the same, even the strands of hair were the same.

The more she looked, the more she resembled her mother. In Jiang's mother's eyes, Li Yiyi automatically shrank to resemble Jiang Yuting when she was young.

"My poor granddaughter!"

Seeing that Jiang's mother hadn't spoken for a while, Li Yi thought he would have to say more.

My uncle is already so difficult to deal with, so it wouldn't be a problem if my grandma was a little difficult too. Who knew grandma would be so understanding?

"Granddaughter, what's your name? How did you get here?"

Holding Li Yiyi in her arms, Jiang's mother thought she looked more and more like her. While overjoyed, she didn't forget her business.

"Grandma, my name is Li Yiyi. I was sent here by someone."

The word "turn" was inappropriate, so Li Yiyi didn't say it, even though she already guessed the outcome.

Where's your mother?!

The winter wind was cold and biting. Mother Jiang carried Li Yiyi back into the house.

Both of them had forgotten that Mr. Jiang was still inside. Suddenly, they saw Mrs. Jiang carrying a child they had never seen before. Mr. Jiang, who was looking at the pot, immediately turned his gaze over.

"Grandpa, my name is Li Yiyi, and my mother is Jiang Yuting."

The process of announcing names is something that becomes easier with practice; Li Yiyi quickly mastered it.

“Jiang Weiran, Yi Yi is Yu Ting’s daughter, our granddaughter. You can see that her eyes and eyebrows look exactly like Yu Ting’s.”

Holding the soft, cuddly Li Yiyi, Jiang's mother was in an exceptionally good mood.

As for Mr. Jiang, his mind was completely blank. Suddenly, a two-year-old granddaughter popped into his head—the daughter of a girl who had been missing for ages.

The way they're put together is so dramatic; is he dreaming, or is he seeing things?

He rubbed his eyes, closed them, and opened them again. The scene before him hadn't changed; there was indeed a baby in Jiang's mother's arms. Completely bewildered, Jiang's father went back to bed, closed his eyes, and then opened them again after a while.

No change

So he wasn't dreaming; they really did have a granddaughter.

The door suddenly opened, and a cold wind blew in, hitting Mr. Jiang squarely.

It got cold, and I became more awake.

"Father, Mother, I'm back..."

The word "了" (le) just wouldn't come out. Jiang Cheng was in the same state as his father, looking back at the sky outside, then back inside. He wasn't mistaken.

The blackmailer's daughter is in her mother's arms.

"Uncle, you're back."

Li Yiyi didn't hold yesterday's incident against her; it was her fault for not identifying herself first and rushing in to call for help. It's understandable that her uncle misunderstood.

"Jiang Cheng, you're back! Come and meet Yi Yi, she's your niece."

The man who called him "uncle" yesterday is now in his mother's arms, being introduced to him by his mother.

If you ask Jiang Cheng how he felt, it was like a dream.

Is this world too big or too small? How come he can't understand it?

“Mother, she is not Yuting’s daughter. We don’t even know where Yuting is.”

Jiang Cheng spoke subtly, but both his mother and Li Yiyi understood. Then, Jiang's mother, carrying Li Yiyi, walked up to Jiang Cheng.

“Jiang Cheng, take a close look. Doesn’t Yi Yi look a lot like Yu Ting? The upper half of her face is exactly the same as yours. If she’s not Yu Ting’s daughter, then who is?”

Her speechless gaze shifted from Jiang Cheng to Jiang's father standing to the side. How could she not have seen the exaggerated movements he had just made?
