He was still a child, about the same age as his own. Thinking about it, a strange sense of responsibility welled up within Shen He.
"Young man, would you like to come home with me first?"
After saying this, Shen He himself couldn't stand it anymore, as if he were lying to a child.
"Young comrade, what I mean is, do you want to come with me first, and then go back after we find your parents? Your parents are your parents."
Fearing that Li Fuyi, being a local child, might not understand what "father" and "mother" meant, Shen He gave a detailed explanation.
Although Li Fuyi's distinctive black hair strongly suggested she wasn't a local, there was always a chance.
"good."
Li Fuyi wouldn't let go of such a free opportunity.
When Shen He said it the first time, Li Fuyi wanted to agree, but in order to appear less ulterior motives, she waited for Shen He to say it a second time before agreeing.
With Li Fuyi by his side, Shen He became the center of attention wherever he went. Ironically, despite being such a focus of attention, neither Li Laosan nor Wang Yiting noticed where Li Fuyi was.
Yang Guowei and Li Wuchi were anxious, but they couldn't stand Li Laosan and Wang Yiting's lack of cooperation.
To be precise, Li Laosan and Wang Yiting noticed Li Fuyi, but led Yang Guowei and Li Wuchi in another direction.
Wang Yiting already hated Li Fuyi, and now that she was gone, she was even happier.
Li Laosan then recalled Li Fuyi's strange luck; every time something good happened, something bad would happen because of Li Fuyi.
Therefore, when Li Fuyi disappeared, Li Laosan's only feeling was that it was a golden opportunity. He would not give up on Li Fuyi and would come to find her after he finished his business.
With the couple working together, Yang Guowei and Li Wuchi were no match for them. Who would have thought that it was Li Laosan and Wang Yiting who gave up on Li Fuyi?
The two groups missed each other, and Li Fuyi followed Shen He with peace of mind.
Jiang Zuoque, who came to pick up the person, had been trying to find Li Fuyi, who was the darkest-skinned person in the crowd. He waited for a long time but did not see her. Just when he was about to suspect that Li Laosan was playing a trick on him, Li Laosan and his group arrived.
"Leader Jiang, you're easier to recognize. Looking around, no one has your distinctive features."
Li Laosan's intention was to flatter Jiang Zuoqiu, but he did it in the wrong place. Jiang Zuoqiu's biggest concern now is that some people say he's corrupt, even though that's an undeniable fact.
"Shut up, where is Li Fuyi!"
He didn't bring people here to hurt him, but rather to have someone to highlight his own shortcomings. Without Li Fuyi's presence, Jiang Zuoqiu couldn't possibly be in a good mood.
"Leader Jiang... Leader Jiang, Fu Yi is missing, we are looking for her."
Li Laosan, with his limited intelligence, understood the unspoken meaning: Jiang Zuoque had summoned them to Beijing primarily because of Li Fuyi.
Having extracted this information, Li Laosan regretted it. He should have just missed Li Fuyi; now, with so many people around, he still didn't know where she was.
"What? The person is missing? Li Laosan, are you out of your mind? You can't even keep an eye on one person."
Their voices unconsciously grew louder, drawing the attention of everyone around them. Jiang Zuoque noticed this, wanting to continue his tirade but afraid someone would recognize him.
If this gets taken to his workplace, he might lose his rank.
"Come on, let's go find someone."
With a cold snort, Jiang Zuoque led Li Laosan and the others towards the broadcasting station, talking incessantly as they walked.
"Li Laosan, Li Laosan, calling you a pig is an insult to pigs. Don't you know that if you can't find someone, you go to the radio station, standing there dumbfounded like a fool?"
"Leader Jiang, you're right, it's all my fault. This isn't my first time taking a train, I'm not very familiar with it!"
He was publicly berated by Jiang Zuoque, who practically pointed his finger at him.
Li Laosan was upset, and so was Wang Yiting. They were husband and wife, so what difference did it make whether she scolded Li Laosan or Wang Yiting?
She quietly stepped forward and walked alongside Li Laosan, a hint of worry in her eyes for him.
At this point, Li Laosan instantly broke down. The resentment that had arisen because of Zhao Dahua's words vanished. Who hasn't had crushes on a few people in their past?
He also had feelings for Jiang Yuting when she first came to his home, but he kept it well hidden and no one found out.
It's all in the past now; he and Wang Yiting should move on.
Upon arriving at the broadcasting station and learning that the person had just left, Jiang Zuoque completely broke down.
He missed his chance again; what was the point of him coming to the train station?
But no matter what, now that they were here, Jiang Zuoque couldn't get rid of them, and in the end, he had no choice but to take Li Laosan and the others back.
Another one, Yang Guowei, got lost along the way, and Li Laosan and his group simply didn't have the energy to look for him anymore.
Watching the group's retreating figures, a man stood silently behind them, his back hunched, until Li Laosan and the others could no longer be seen.
He waved to the people behind him and quickly led them away. This person was none other than the vanished Yang Guowei.
Train stations are the places with the highest passenger flow and the easiest places to take action. For his own sake, he had no other choice, since there was no going back.
Li Yiyi ran into many familiar faces today, and she was a little overwhelmed.
After returning home, Li Yiyi felt even more confused. The person sitting in the living room was none other than Wang Guimei, whom she had bumped into that morning.
Wang Guimei and Jiang Cheng
The sudden connection between two completely unrelated people was something even Li Laoda, let alone Li Yiyi, found difficult to accept.
"uncle."
Li Yiyi skillfully climbed into Jiang Cheng's arms, staring wide-eyed at Wang Guimei.
"Long time no see, Yi Yi."
This time, the smile was even more obvious, and Li Yiyi couldn't pretend she hadn't heard or seen clearly.
"haven't seen you for a long time."
