"He Heng, say it again, did you save me, or did I save myself?"
I finally figured it out; it turns out he was lifted up by Li Yiyi.
Feeling ashamed and indignant, He Heng felt he had lost all face and dignity.
He wanted to immediately say that Li Yiyi had saved herself, but then he saw Li Hun's gaze, gritted his teeth, and said what Li Hun had told him to say.
"Li Yiyi, do you think you can prove you saved yourself by showing this? You're talking nonsense. I was the one who saved you that day."
He Heng is really stubborn, that's what his classmates in the classroom think. It's the first time they've realized that besides being indecisive, He Heng has another stubborn trait.
When no one was looking, He Heng spoke in a voice that only he and Li Yiyi could hear.
"Li Yiyi, if you don't admit that I saved you, then I'll expose Long Tian."
A wave of black lines instantly washed over Li Yiyi; if she could, she really wanted to speak immediately.
Tell me, just tell me already!
But the reality is, no, Li Hun's acting is so realistic, in order to find out what's actually in Li Hun's private parts, she has no choice but to keep acting.
Li Yiyi's intuition told her that as long as she figured things out, she could uncover the truth behind her transmigrating into the book.
It was her sixth sense, and Li Yiyi believed it unconditionally.
"He Heng, if you want to say it, then say it. If you don't, I'll use you as proof."
With a slight tremor, He Heng nearly fell, but fortunately, Li Hun's next instruction arrived.
"I'll tell you, I'll tell you, I'll tell you everything."
Li Yiyi then put He Heng down.
"you say."
Wiping away his sweat, He Heng relayed what Li Hun had told him beforehand.
"Li Yiyi, you're right. You saved yourself that day, but don't blame me. Blame the person you like for plotting against you."
When did my daughter find someone she likes?!
Li Laoda and Jiang Yuting were instantly flustered; their guarding against them so tightly shouldn't have been so tight.
"Li Yiyi, you didn't expect this, did you! The hero saving the beauty that day was all orchestrated by Long Tian himself, and the rumors these past few days were also spread by Long Tian at my request."
"Long Tian said that as long as I can use the life-saving grace to make Jiang Yuting take a liking to me, and then your family breaks up, Long Tian will comfort you, and you will definitely follow him wholeheartedly. Once you are his woman, how far away will your family's wealth be?"
As Li Hun instructed, He Heng arrogantly revealed the entire plan and also implicated the culprit, Long Tian.
Seeing Li Yiyi's face growing paler and paler, looking like she was about to collapse from the blow, He Heng strangely found a sense of vengeful pleasure in Li Yiyi.
He had always been suppressed by Li Hun. He didn't want to listen to Li Hun, but Li Hun held his life in his hands.
He met Li Hun on the first day of school, in the dormitory, and he fell in love with Du Lan at first sight.
But he couldn't afford to offend Ruan Jiao. Although he readily agreed when Ruan Jiao offered to pay compensation, he actually had no intention of doing so.
Going out to withdraw money was just a way to buy time. Ruan Jiao and Du Lan don't understand him, but doesn't he understand himself?
He had no money left, and had spent all the money he had swindled before. When he was desperate, Li Hun found him.
"Who are you, He Heng?"
A child, sitting upright and arrogant, looked at him with disdain and contempt, which reminded him of many things.
Many things he buried deep in his heart touched his pride.
"Get lost!"
He Heng was in a bad mood, and Li Hun's appearance brought back unpleasant memories, so his tone wasn't pleasant.
But with just a simple "get lost," He Heng tortured him, using all sorts of methods on him.
In just one afternoon, He Heng felt as if he had been in purgatory for a full eighteen years.
"Are you still telling me to get lost?"
His hand was being brutally trampled by Li Hun in front of him; it wasn't just his hand that was being trampled, but his heart and self-esteem.
But the inhuman torture he endured made He Heng realize that Li Hun was not someone he could afford to offend.
There's a saying that goes, "A wise man knows when to yield," and He Heng understood and practiced this saying.
Humility and subservience, constantly admitting one's mistakes.
"I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving. It's me who's leaving, it's me who's leaving. I'll leave right now."
Li Hun had already removed his foot from his hand, and He Heng saw an opportunity to run away.
Before the joy could even spread across his face, He Heng was frozen in place by Li Hun, unable to move, not even to blink.
A huge sense of panic filled He Heng's heart. He couldn't understand why Li Hun, an abnormal person, would come looking for him when he was just a simple, insignificant person.
He Heng soon found out why.
The chair's wheels rolled on the floor, the clattering sound drawing closer. Li Hun arrived in front of him.
"Where are you going? Did I give you permission to leave?"
This time, as if something had been proven true, Li Hun's eyes were filled with smug joy and blatant malice.
The joy belongs to Li Hun, the malice is directed at him.
"You're He Heng, right?"
The same question came up again, and this time He Heng dared not speak rudely; instead, he adopted a somewhat ingratiating tone.
"Yes, sir, I am He Heng."
It's unclear what he did that tickled Li Hun's funny bone, but Li Hun laughed for several minutes before finally stopping.
"If only you had been this obedient earlier."
The casual, scolding tone sounded a lot like someone scolding a disobedient little pet, or something else entirely.
He Heng couldn't accept it, but dared not let Li Hun discover any unusual behavior or emotion. Instead, he had to fawn over Li Hun with a fawning smile.
With a snap of his fingers, as if by magic, he could move again, but all his strength had vanished before Li Hun.
